Helical screw pole's surface harshness has direct impact on every aspects of working performance, a new method of helical surface polishing were proposed by analyzing the wheel of abrasive belt grinding and polishing mechanism. Through described the wheel of abrasive belt grinding and polishing spiral surface process, to get the relationship between grinding volume and surface roughness through calculate the maximum cutting depth of reasoning, analysis grinding and polishing process of the wheel of abrasive belt impeller speed and screw speed. The result provides theory basis for screw pole helix surface new machinery polishing method design and application.

In this paper, a terminal sliding mode control based on fuzzy disturbance observer scheme is proposed. For a nonlinear system, the disturbance that can not be directly measured is estimated using a fuzzy disturbance observer. Considering both the terminal sliding mode surface and the observer error, a novel adaptive law for the fuzzy disturbance observer is presented. Based on the output of the fuzzy disturbance observer, a terminal sliding mode control is designed. The stability of the fuzzy disturbance observer and the closed-loop system are established using Lyapunov's method. Finally, simulation studies for a rotational inverted pendulum are provided to confirm the performance and the effectiveness of the proposed control approach.

The traditional question answering systems have shortcoming that they are not satisfactorily intelligent. To overcome the defect, the paper proposes a new system which applies ontology and search engine to the intelligent question answering system. By making use of clear semantic relation in ontology, the new system is able to expand users' problems in semantic term, enhance its understanding of semantic information.

Determining the optimum structure for an Artificial Network is an important design step in almost all the artificial intelligence systems which are based on Neural or neuro-fuzzy networks. In this paper a genetic algorithm based solution is presented and tested over real world databases and for single layer and multiple layer networks and it has been shown that the determined network structures has the best accuracy and the optimized topology as well.

K-NN query algorithm is one of the important applications in spatial database, using the previous methods of positioning queries and range queries can not well solve the K-NN query problem, the traditional K-NN search algorithms use measurement distance and pruning strategy to search in the adopted index tree, based on the analysis of the basic concepts of KNN query algorithm, use the fast performance of grid index in querying , apply the clustering algorithm into the K-NN query process, a new K-NN query algorithm based on grid clustering of the neighbor objects is proposed in this paper, the algorithm first will find the former K nearest neighbors by using of the traditional methods, then cluster the non-empty grid cells around the K nearest objects so as to achieve the next area to be queried selectively, the experiments show that the performance of the new algorithm is better than that of the traditional query algorithm which will search in the eight neighbor grid cells around the queried object and expand the query scope layer by layer in the grid division region, it is a new method and has a wide application in practice.

In this paper, we present two new three-step predictor-corrector methods for solving nonlinear equations. This two algorithms are free from second derivative and per iteration they only require three evaluations of the given function and one evaluation of its first derivative. Convergence analysis shows that they are fifth-order convergent. Numerical tests demonstrate that both of the two new methods are more efficient and more practical than most of known variants of two-step methods.

To reduce the residual stress of heavy rail after straightening, the finite element analysis approach is adopted to research the internal stress with multi-roller straightening. The multi-roller straightening method is present, and the finite element model of multi-roller straightening is built. With the given values, the straightening process test is simulated, and the residual stress distribution after straightening is analysed. The application shows, using the proposed approach to adjust the reduction of the straightened roll, not only a better straightness can be acquired, but also a good distribution of residual stress after straightening can be obtained.

In this paper, for solving the problem of triangulating Bayesian networks, we propose a discrete differential evolution framework incorporating cooperative coevolution mechanism, and provide three schemes to group variables. The cooperative discrete differential evolution algorithms using these grouping schemes show much better performance than existing swarm intelligence methods in experiments on representative benchmarks.

Blowing and drifting snow disaster has caused great inconvenience to road traffic. It is necessary to take measures to slow down and avoid the climate disaster. The reasons of road hazard in blowing and drifting snow climate were discovered. This paper described the general formation mechanism of the blowing and drifting snow, considered the seasons that caused the snow damage for different embankment cross section types, and proposed different cross-sectional design of anti-snow embankment. It also analyzed a section of Boketu to Yakeshi freeway in Inner Mongolia for case, and proposed its embankment cross section design.
