Shinzo Abe, the longest-serving prime minister of Japan, was assassinated on July 8, 2022, while delivering a campaign speech. As news of the violent event spread, many Japanese people as well as governments and citizens from around the world expressed their deepest sorrow and condolences. Abe’s charisma, his dynamic personality, and his extraordinary political talent give him an enduring place in the imagination of the Japanese public. Many in Japan are outraged at the cowardly and vicious act and its threat to free speech and the country’s democratic ideals. This paper examines several of Abe’s prominent speeches during his years as prime minster of Japan. Our focus will study how, and through which linguistic applications, Abe’s speeches have achieved a lasting influence on the general public and politicians in Japan. Utilizing both a speaker-oriented and a listener-oriented inclination, Abe is able to inspire and attain a reassuring contribution, both politically and personally, while conveying a message of “hope” in Japanese socio-economic society.

With the continuous development of information technology revolution, cloud computing, Internet of things, Internet and other information technologies appear. They have infiltrated every corner of society. As a result, the numbers are exploding. It is difficult to estimate the value and information of these data. Education has become an important front in social life in the era of big data. This paper mainly analyzes the data characteristics and data sources. In the era of big data, the application of big data in the informatization of college education is discussed.

This study sets out to theorize and conceptualize internal stakeholders’ provision of Educational Leadership for the Members of the Association of African Universities (AAU). It reviews research materials, policies and modalities in developing educational leadership, African Philosophies of Education (APE) and interviews of university academic staff and students in measuring the success of professionalization of educational leadership. The purposive sampling technique of data collection is used to ensure representativeness and qualitative methodology, including the use of document-based content analysis in order to generate valid, reliable and rich data based on interviews with academic staff, administrators and students. The findings of this study will contribute to the deeper understanding of internal stakeholders’ provision of a decolonized Educational Leadership Curriculum (DELC) objective at Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s and Doctorate programmes in Educational Leadership is therefore proposed for African universities. This will enable education leader, schools and School system leaders to play a critical role in having a clear vision, the ability to communicate the vision to team members, the ability to organize in an effective and efficient manner, inspiring subordinates towards the fulfillment of the organization’s goals, and balancing the conflict of interest of all subordinates and stakeholders. The proposed leadership learning programs focus on the actual improvement of schools and the educational systems to achieve equity, diversity, social inclusion, peace, economic growth and prosperity. These leadership programmes will address the challenges of developing human capital and well-being, promoting employment and economic integration, governance, strategic management and democracy in the different African union countries.

Fast mapping refers to the acquisition of new words in children just by the virtue of mere exposure. With a minimal exposure the words are imbibed. This study was carried with the aim of comparing the fast mapping and slow mapping in typically developing children. A total of 20 children in the age range of 5-6 years were considered for the study and the participants were divided into two groups on random basis. Fast mapping and slow mapping methods were used to train the first and group respectively. In fast mapping, the participants were exposed to the label of the target word for 5 times. In slow mapping method, the semantic features related to the target word was taught to the participants. The number of words learnt by group 1 and group 2 children was computed on immediate naming task and delayed naming. Statistically there was no significant difference between number of words learnt on fast mapping and slow mapping as observed on Mann-Whitney U test. While there was significant difference between the two methods on delayed naming as proven by the same statistic. More number of words learnt through slow mapping suggested that it was effective in evoking learning.

In this paper, the authors review a single session in which a small group of participants from different countries within the Asian Pacific region used creative arts improvisation to develop collaborative expression of their subjective experiences during the COVID health crisis. During this review, the authors consider if meaningful communication could develop among the participants and how such exchanges might be expanded to contribute to communities and within an international context. The group was conducted online, and the members were from Guam, China and another woman from India currently studying in New Zealand. The improvisational expressions consisted of dance, vocal music, art, poetry, and fairy tale making followed by discussion. The general themes from this collection of images that emerged from the improvisations ranged from disconnection to positive connection towards each other and a renewal of hope. These developments occurred online and among people from different countries. Some of these participants did not know each other prior to the meeting and others did not share a primary language. The authors use this review to suggest some potential guidelines that might apply to other projects that address community responses to the current pandemic and possible cross-cultural connections during times of crisis.

Under the constant impact of new media developed based on the Internet, traditional media have been introducing media convergence for years. Traditional media have enhanced their vitality and competitiveness by integrating the technology and other features of new media while grasping their own core concepts. This paper takes the experience of media convergence of Sichuan Radio and Television as an example to analyze the media convergence of traditional media itself, and also analyzes how this process can achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which is conducive to media to give full play to their own communication efficiency and provide motivation for the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.

This essay is a case study of IELTS use in mainland China, discussing the language assessment from three aspects: the purposes for testing, ethical problems of IELTS, and technologies applied in IELTS. It is worth noting that there are two types of IELTS: academic IELTS and general training IELTS, offered jointly by the British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment, and other committees. This essay is confined to academic IELTS.

Indian literatures in general including those written in English, entail (in a vivid or veiled manner) a rich legacy inherited from the epics, other classical texts and the Puranas which promote overall, an equilibrium in the eco-space, the flora and fauna, while at the same time strongly recommending a protective role of the human and his being in perfect peace with the habitat. The literature of India’s North-east, poetry in particular, further posits an interesting case study of both adulation and apprehension. Here one experiences an abiding respect for the exotic beauty of nature - the mystic hills and magic rivers with the sprawling verdure around- which, with a potency though to lure poetic hearts into the realm of thoughts offering some emancipatory streaks of revelations, cannot however dispel the confounding mess of impressions of the muddled present which is lacerated by political unrest, insurgency and its countermeasures, the culture of dominance and finally a seamless urbanization which is keen to trammel up the traditional ways of life and thought that have enjoyed a sanctity of practice over generations. The poems discussed in the paper articulate a disquieting awareness of some grim possibility lurking under the Edenic greenery around.

Rapid innovation and widespread application of information and digital technologies encourage the continual growth and reconstruction of classic business models and market operation behaviors. The Internet economy has induced many new sorts of unfair competition while stimulating entrepreneurship and unleashing technological innovation dividends. Data crawling consumes a significant amount of Internet traffic because it is a cost-effective data collection strategy. It not only encourages data sharing, but it also makes unfair competition regulation more difficult. We should pay attention to assessing difficulties from the standpoint of interest concerns in the regulation of data crawling under the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, and completely measure whether it harms the interests of operators, customers, and social public interests. We can also use the method of interest measurement to coordinate the interest relationship in order to keep the competitive order and balance multiple interests.
