Fruits pulp of twelve accessions of pumpkin collected from Abia State of Nigeria were evaluated for their proximate values, minerals, vitamin and phytochemical composition. Correlations and path coefficient analysis among the nutrients of these accessions were also determined. Results showed that proximate composition % (carbohydrate 2.79 4.87; crude protein 1.74 2.05; ether extract 0.83 1.06; and moisture content 90.18 92.49) differed significantly (p<0.01) among the accessions. Vitamins (mg/100g), minerals (mg/100g) and phytochemical composition (%) measured among the accessions differed significantly. Mean vitamin values ranged from 19.77 31.66 in vitamin A; 4.76 5.76 in vitamin C; 0.55 0.81 in vitamin E; 0.17 0.26 in thiamine; 0.57 0.85 in riboflavin and 0.31 0.51 in niacin. Lower values were obtained for alkaloid (0.46 0.78), hydrogen cyanide content (0.62 0.13), oxalate (0.33 0.55), saponin (0.10 0.95), phytate (0.67 0.95) and tannin (0.43 77). The fruit pulp contained appreciable minerals like calcium (21.54 30.65), iron (0.59 – 0.91), magnesium (0.17.60 – 23.77), phosphorus (23.68 – 35.61), potassium (2.82 – 134.78), and sodium (45.71 – 60.36). Path coefficient analysis for dry matter showed that traits like, ash, CHO and crude fiber had the highest positive direct effect on dry matter with 0.14, 0.01, and 0.01 respectively; HCN and its traits depicted that oxalate (0.99) had maximum direct positive influence followed by Tannin (0.30) while phytate (-0.23), alkaloid (-0.576) and Saponin (0.24) have negative direct effects; Calcium and its traits indicated that iron had the largest direct positive influence (15.98) followed by Magnesium (0.59) while Potassium (-0.04), Sodium (-0.53) and (-0.04) had negative direct influence.

Transmission of HIV from mother to child continues to be the major source of HIV infection among children under the age of fifteen. Therefore, targeting pregnant women attending antenatal clinics provides a unique opportunity for the implementation of prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) intervention program against HIV infection of new-born babies. This study was aimed at assessing the Mother to Child Transmission of HIV intervention and the follow up of exposed infant HIV testing in nine selected health facilities in Gombe state between January 2016 and December 2016. The methodology used was a non-experimental descriptive study that combined hospital record review and structured questionnaire to collect relevant data. A cross-sectional retrospective evaluation of women enrolled in Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV programme at facilities supported by an indigenous partner (Centre for Integrated Health Program CIHP), was carried out. In addition, structured questionnaires were served on 498 ANC attendees and service providers, selected by consecutive sampling method. Data entry and analysis were done using SPSS version 21. The study showed that there was adequate coverage with PMTCT services in the study area as all the respondents affirmed to accessing all expected services in all the facilities. Pregnancy was found to be an automatic indicator (469, 94.2%) for HIV test and therefore ANC served as a critical window for the provision of PMTCT services. Mother-to-child transmission remained a major route of HIV transmission in children with 12 (2.4%) cases of HIV in infants at 6weeks DNA PCR test and 5 (1.0%) cases of HIV-positive in children after the Rapid test at 18 months. Hence, it is recommended that there should be a scale-up of the programme, pre-natal sensitization of women, baby positioning and attachment for safe and effective breastfeeding, ensuring prompt (within 28 days) availability of DNA/PCR test results and adopting consensus method for the assessment of PMTCT.

There were five treatments: Control, 10t/ha Poultry droppings, 12t/ha Cow manure, 10t/ha Pig manure and N.P.K 15:15:15 which was replicated four times making it 20 plots. The experiment was laid in a Randomized Complete Block Design. Data were collected on Seedling Emergence Percentage, Number of Leaves, Number of Branches, Vine Length and Fresh Weight of Leaf. At 2WAP and 6WAP for Number of leaves cow manure gave the highest mean number while at 4WAP, pig manure came out highest. For Number of branches at 2WAP and 6WAP, Pig manure gave the highest mean value while at 4WAP, Cow manure performed best. For VIne Length, Pig manure gave the highest mean number at both 2WAP and 4WAP. While at 4WAP Poultry droppings performed highest. For Fresh Weight of Fluted pumpkin Cow manure performed the highest at both 8WAP and 11WAP.However, these parameters showed an increase with the application of the different organic manure (Poultry droppings, Cow manure and Pig manure) while N.P.K 15:15:15 and control (untreated plot) did not successfully show much increased on the growth and yield parameters measured. and Mokhov, 2004). Sakharov and Mokhov (2004) in their experiment with high viscosity oil observed a new positive frictional pressure difference. Adequate knowledge of this trend of High viscosity oil will aid in getting the optimum design of wells. The proper selection, design, and installation of tubing string are critical parts of any well completion. Tubing strings must be sized correctly to enable the fluids to flow efficiently or to permit installation of effective artificial lift equipment. The optimum tubing size is selected to obtain the desired production rates at the lowest capital and operating costs. This usually means at the maximum initial flow rate and maintaining it as long as possible. Whatever the case, the selection process inevitably involves analysis of the gross fluid deliverability and flow stability under changing reservoir conditions to confirm that the production forecast can be met. Abstract: One of the parameters used to determine Reynolds numbers is viscosity and is the value of the Reynolds number that indicates if the flow is laminar, transition or turbulent flow. High viscosity oil and conventional oil require different amount of gas rate to lift them from the well heavy oil consume up to 3-5 volume above low vicious oil. Friction factor and the liquid holdup are gotten from the value of viscosity. Pressure gradient and liquid holdup depends on flow pattern so accurate prediction of flow pattern is very important. Increase in liquid viscosities result in lower intermittent region. The existing Mechanistic model were developed and validated with low viscous crude between 10cp and 110cp as such they are not able to predict pressure drop for high vicious crude of viscosity above 100cp to 500cp accurately as these model underestimate Pressure drop. The dynamics of slug flow and the film flow zone were the basis that characterizes the Hydrodynamic model developed and the film in the slug unit is used as the control volume. Duns and Ros (1964) Model was used to validate the model with Field Data. The poor prediction of pressure gradient by model is as a result of not identifying the right flow pattern as each model is flow pattern dependent. A tubing is too small causes large friction and limits It also may restrict the type and size of artificial lift equipment. A tubing string that is too large may cause heading and unstable flow, which results in loading up of the well and can complicate work-over operations. The objective of this study is to develop a viscosity model for High viscous crude in the range (100cp-500cp) in a vertical oil well as it relates to well for upward flow as it relates to well performance. To investigate effect of high viscous oil in vertical well as it affects Liquid Holdup and pressure drop. The model develop was validated with Duns and Ros Model Sensitivity analysis using different values of Superficial; liquid and gas velocities show its effects on oil well performance. Tubing strings must be sized correctly to enable the fluids to flow efficiently or to permit installation of effective artificial lift equipment. The optimum tubing size is selected to obtain the desired production rates at the lowest capital and operating costs. This usually means at the maximum initial flow rate and maintaining it as long as possible. Whatever the case, the selection process inevitably involves analysis of the gross fluid deliverability and flow stability under changing reservoir conditions to confirm that the production forecast can be met. Abstract: One of the parameters used to determine Reynolds numbers is viscosity and is the value of the Reynolds number that indicates if the flow is laminar, transition or turbulent flow. High viscosity oil and conventional oil require different amount of gas rate to lift them from the well heavy oil consume up to 3-5 volume above low vicious oil. Friction factor and the liquid holdup are gotten from the value of viscosity. Pressure gradient and liquid holdup depends on flow pattern so accurate prediction of flow pattern is very important. Increase in liquid viscosities result in lower intermittent region. The existing Mechanistic model were developed and validated with low viscous crude between 10cp and 110cp as such they are not able to predict pressure drop for high vicious crude of viscosity above 100cp to 500cp accurately as these model underestimate Pressure drop. The dynamics of slug flow and the film flow zone were the basis that characterizes the Hydrodynamic model developed and the film in the slug unit is used as the control volume.
