Attempts to biologically control anthracnose disease in chilli peppers 辣椒炭疽病生物防治的尝试

Sixteen different strains causing anthracnose disease on chilli pepper plants and fruits were identified as Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. These isolates were grown on potato-dextrose agar medium containing three Trichoderma species as possible biocontrol agents. All the Trichoderma species promoted growth, especially T. koningii. The effect of storage temperature and humidity on germination of Irvingia gabonensis var. excelsa 贮藏温度和湿度对加蓬树种子萌发的影响

Seeds of Irvingia gabonensis var. excelsa lost their ability to germinate when stored for even 2 months at 10°C but retained the ability to germinate at ambient temperature and 30°C. The retention of the ability to germinate was best at ambient temperature. Storage at 30% moisture content resulted in better storage potential than 40–45% moisture content at both ambient temperature and 30°C. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd

Of 13 onion cultivars, red onions had longer storage life than white onions. Storage life was correlated with dry matter content. Botrytis spp., Aspergillus spp., Fusarium oxysporum and Penicillium spp. were frequently isolated from rotted bulbs.
