OFDM systems are very sensitive to frequency offset. This frequency offset results in inter-carrier interference (ICI) and, as a result, the performance of the OFDM system degrades drastically. In this paper, a blind adaptive method for joint frequency offset and channel estimation is proposed to reduce ICI effects and estimate frequency offset and channel. Adaptive technique is used to suppress these ICI effects. The channel impulse response (CIR) affected by frequency offset is tracked by a channel tracker in frequency domain. The result of the tracker is used to estimate the frequency offset and the channel. Then the frequency offset estimate is feedback to compensate the receipt signal. A blind estimation method is used, in consequence the efficiency and security of system are not reduced. The simulated results show that this scheme can reduce ICI effects significantly and the frequency and channel can be estimated effectually.

The MOS resistor array infrared scene projector is the key component and advanced technology in hardware-in-the-loop simulation for infrared guidance weapons. Infrared scene simulation software is developed on the basis of OpenGL 2.0, a high performance visual simulation development platform, and its 3DMax module. Real-time infrared images are generated to drive infrared scene projector based on the MOS resistor array. Firstly the infrared imaging guidance simulation system structure, image generation software and infrared scene projector are studied and designed respectively. Secondly based on a lot of tests on 128×128 MOS resistor array, a novel non-uniformity correction algorithm for MOS resistor array is presented, and a linear look-up table is established. This simulator system has been applied to the research on the seeker of certain type of infrared missile, and ideal results have been obtained.

In order to meet the needs of modern flood control, according to the current situations of monitoring in the Yellow River, three type's remote sensing manners are carried out, i.e. flood remote sensing automatic monitoring; drought remote sensing monitoring; unpiloted aircraft remote sensing monitoring. The three methods offer supplements for data collecting and processing in the Yellow River. As a result, which preliminary realize data signal acquisition and processing in complex condition, and provide theoretical support and technical parameters for improving flood, drought and ice disaster emergency monitoring techniques and conditions forecast.

For the pumped storage machines started by static frequency converter (SFC), the mathematical model of multicircuits is established considering actual arrangement of the damper bars based on the multi-circuits theory of the electrical machines. On the basis of this mathematical model the process of static frequency converter starting were analyzed on simulation and analysis of the naturally operational phase. Meanwhile the rules of current, torque, rotational speed were given and several factors influencing starting were analyzed as well. The results show that, then the excitation current will rise quickly with the excitation control added, which can reach 4 times the rated value in 10 seconds, so it is necessary to control the excitation current by the excitation section in the inverter.

With the development of wireless network, a solution is urgently expected to meet the higher-quality QoS demands of multimedia traffics especially when the network is heavily loaded. This paper presents a new scheme of MAC protocol of wireless network, optimizing the services of the system in time of load change input via adjustment of the times of the access gated services. The scheme does not modify the current protocol infrastructure or add any overheads. The theoretical model is established with Markov chain and probability generating function. Mathematical analysis is made on the mean queue length and the mean cyclic time of the common queue and the key station. It turns out that the findings from theoretical analysis correspond well with those from simulated experiments and strengthen the flexibility and fairness of multimedia transmissions in wireless system.

In order to rapid communication between earth stations in satellite communications on the move (SOTM)system, the calculation methods of antenna's initial alignment which is one of the key technologies is studied. The earth's actual shape is ellipsoid and the spread of satellite signals is influenced by atmospheric refraction, so the azimuth angle and elevation angle are modified. Using these modified angles in initial antenna's pointing, system response is accelerated and good initial position is provided for the following tracking process.

Time Domain Neal-Smith (TDNS) criterion is an ideal quantization criterion for evaluation PIO susceptibility. The characteristic of pilot's self-adapting make it difficult to apply the criterion. In this paper, Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) algorithm is used for TDNS criterion, and the PIO susceptibility of an example aircraft is evaluated. The evaluation results indicate that it is practicable to evaluate PIO susceptibility by TDNS criterion with SQP algorithm.

In this paper, a new interpolation algorithm for magnifying images based on the relative color difference of pixels (RCD) is presented, with its basic principle and implementation method being discussed in detail. Its comparison with the nearest neighbor interpolator and the bilinear interpolator, in terms of some objective evaluation criteria, are also given. The simulation result indicates that our method combines strong points of the other two algorithms.

Many insects can derive navigation information from skylight polarization within patches of sky. The current methods simulating insect strategy take advantage of the skylight polarization through single numerical values rather than patterns. In this paper, we present a method to get navigation orientations by gradient vectors of skylight polarization maps even if the Sun is invisible or occluded by clouds. The maps are provided by a zenith centered imaging polarimeter with narrow field of view. Navigation orientations can be worked out by the combination of solar azimuths and calendar. We can gain additional insights into the navigation behavior of insects via the experiments.
