This study attempts to explain the factors of satisfaction in the patient's perspective from the private healthcare sector of Lahore. The data was collected from in-patients of eight major hospitals in Lahore city of Pakistan. The study distributed 450 questionnaires among patients of different hospitals for data collection and received 322 fully filled questionnaires for data analysis. The study applied different statistical tools to analyze the data. The findings show that among all six variables, physical facility is the most influential predictor of patient satisfaction in the private healthcare sector of Lahore. The analysis further explored that all hypotheses of the study are proved to be true and significant.

Kasur is well-known for its enormous leather industry, however the city pays a high price in terms of water pollution as a result of this business. Water within a broad radius of this leather manufacturing sector has been designated unfit to drink. As a result, this contaminated water has a negative impact on human health. This research is a small attempt to investigate the problems produced by water contamination. Surveillance was carried out in Kasur for this aim, and the results were assessed. Both males and females had a high prevalence of morbidity from various diseases, according to the findings.

Determinants of foreign direct investment (FDI) is the key area of research in development economics. Earlier studies did not give due weight to the segregation of analysis across economic, social, and institutional factors for FDI. This study specifically attempts to explore the intervening role of social and institutional factors which affects the relationship between economic factors and inward FDI. For this purpose, three segregate models relating to economic, social, and institutional factors along with a composite model comprised of all these factors are taken into consideration in this study. Panel data utilized is related to South Asian countries from 2008 to 2016. In the light of Breusch-Pagan LM Statistics, Pooled OLS estimates are preferred for analyses. This study leads to the conclusion that in segregation analysis economic factors and institutional factors have an important role in attracting FDI, but social factors have no significant role in this regard. The intervening role of social and institutional factors is not found in this study. The only factors which are recognized in the composite analysis are economic. Enlarged market size having an efficient financial market with no inflationary pressure is found to be an economic environment in the South Asian region which is helpful for attracting FDI. The rule of law is not found to be an effective characteristic for inward FDI.

This study examines the relationship between inflation, Money supply, interest rate and unemployment in Pakistan using annual time series data from 1987 to 2019. Inflation is used as the dependent variable and money supply (M2), unemployment and interest rate as the independent variable. Discount rate is used as the proxy of the interest rate. The results of ADF unit root test shows that variables have different order of integration. The study used ARDL cointegration approach to test the long run and short run for the existence among the variables. The results found that there is long run as well as short run relationship among the variables.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore a model to measure the money deposit bank financial sustainability based on ownership structure and to examine the moderating role of managerial intention on managerial ownership and foreign ownership. Design/ Methodology/ Approach An elaborate literature review was conducted to identify the variables and a proposed conceptual model was conceived. Findings A conceptual model was presented after the discussion of relationship and literature review that examined ownership structure, managerial intention and financial sustainability. Originality/Value Many scholars have investigated the different dimensions of ownership structure, managerial intention and performance, however little research has been done on the integration of ownership structure and financial sustainability. Furthermore, there is also a dearth in literature that examine the moderating role of managerial intention on the relationship between ownership structure and financial sustainability.

This paper is based on a pilot study which was conducted to test innovation on the sustainable growth of SMEs by focusing on the methodological viewpoints. The objective of the pilot study was to assess the viability, length of time, cost, and adverse effects of innovation on the sustainable growth of SMEs in Nigeria so as to enhance the design of the questionnaire before its full implementation. A review of the research instrument was performed by four multi-disciplinary academics who specialised in management, accounting, and strategic management, respectively. The aim was to ensure consistency in the questionnaire so that respondents would have no trouble completing them. The statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) Version 23 was used to assist in the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) which tests for reliability and the Cronbach alpha values were used to examine the content and face validity of the instrument. All the constructs and items used in the model were adapted from previous literature. The sample size used for the study comprised 100 respondents recruited from the SMEs operating in Nigeria. The findings showed that all the constructs in the model carried a high Cronbach alpha value of above 0.7. Therefore, all items used in the instrument were retained. This study is expected to contribute to the literature on methodological multivariate studies, the quantitative approach research on innovation, and the sustainable growth of SMEs.

The impact of government spending on Nigeria’s inflation levels between 1999 and 2019 was x-rayed in this paper. The data for the study were sourced from CBN statistical bulletin and Autoregressive Distributed Lag model was used as the main analytical tool. A long-run relationship among this study’s variables was realized, using the ARDL Bounds test. The result also revealed a positive but insignificant relationship between government expenditure and inflation rate in the short-run. Moreover, in the long-run, government expenditure has negative and is statistically significant inflation rate. Money supply has a negative and is statistically insignificant with inflation rate in the short-run. In the long-run, money supply has a positive and significant relationship with inflation rate. Gross domestic product was negatively related to inflation rate in both short-run and long-run. Moreover, exchange rate affected inflation rate negatively and significantly in the short-run and positively and significantly in the long-run. The increasing demands of the population affected inflation rate positively and significantly in both short-run and long-run. Investment was positively related to inflation rate but not significant in the short-run but the relationship was negative and significant in the long-run. The study therefore recommended among others that government should exercise discretion in spending in order to check inflation rate. This can be done by channeling spending on productive activities that will cushion the effect of inflation rate rather than exacerbate it.

In modern conditions, the priority task for Ukraine is the institutional transformation of the economy, the main purpose of which is to ensure sustainable socio-economic development. The article discusses the theoretical and methodological foundations and develops scientific and practical recommendations for the formation of an innovative competitiveness management system based on the example of healthcare institutions in Ukraine. Based on the analysis, the main characteristics of the innovative development of health care institutions are determined, interaction schemes for participants in the innovation process in the health care system and the mechanism for developing and implementing competitive strategies in the health care institution management system are developed. The calculation of the integral indicator of assessing the effectiveness of the use of labor resources as the most important component of assessing the level of competitiveness of an enterprise.
