Hospitals are not only as a place of treatment, but also as a health service facility that can be a source of infection for other people. Doctors, nurses and other medical personnel are often exposed to potential hazards in hospitals, thus requiring protection in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE). However, compliance with the use of PPE is not always high, which makes doctors and nurses more vulnerable to risk of occupational diseases in hospitals. In one of conducted studies, the conditions that were less compliant in using PPE for health workers were 30%. One of the things that might affect this level of compliance is knowledge about PPE. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and compliance level to use personal protective equipment among doctors and nurses in operating room installation from a private hospital in 2020. Analytic observational by using cross sectional research design was used in this study. The population were all doctors and nurses at operating room installation of mentioned hospital above. Sampling was taken by total sampling method and 26 samples met the inclusion criteria. In this study, there were 23 respondents (88.5%) obeyed the use of personal protective equipment, meanwhile 3 respondents (11.5%) who did not. The 3 respondents were on loop or circular nurses. So, there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance in the use of personal protective equipment with p-value = 0.027and OR=44. Keywords: personal protective equipment, knowledge level, compliance level

Background: Hemorrhoid is an anorectal disease due to mechanical disturbances in the anal cushion and hemorrhoid venous plexus blood flow obstruction. Symptoms that often accur are bleeding, pain, prolapse, itching, and mucus discharge. Acupuncture is non-pharmacological therapeutic modalities that has been shown to improve hemorrhoid symptoms. Case: A 37-year-old woman complained of hemorroid lump with pain since last 1 year. Physical examination showed a reddish hemorrhoid prolapse, about 1.5 cm in the posterior anal without bleeding. The pain score with NRS is 4. Acupuncture therapy was performed 3 times a week at acupoints GV20, TE6, LU6, ST25, BL34, ST36, EX-UE2 and BL57. Then given continuous wave electrical stimulation, 4 Hz, 30 minutes retention. After 11 treatments, pain disappeared with NRS 0 and lump was reduced to about 0.5 cm. Conclusion: Acupuncture can improve the symptoms of hemorrhoids, which are seen by the relief of pain and the reduction of lumps. Keywords: Acupuncture, hemorrhoid, hemorrhoid pain, hemorrhoid prolapse

Bell’s Palsy (BP) is an acute unilateral facial paralysis due to idiopathic inflammation of the peripheral facial nerve. Corticosteroids, antiviral drugs, and physical therapy could be useful to treat BP, however these treatments could not bring complete recovery. Acupuncture could be an alternative option for BP and to show its effectiveness, we present a case report, a patient with BP treated with acupuncture. A 48-year-old female patient, a kindergarden teacher, already treated with corticosteroid and antiviral agents as soon as BP was diagnosed. Six weeks later, patient didn’t recover, with House-Brackmann score stage 3. Acupuncture was perfomed at local and distance acupoints at ears, body and face. Wrist Ankle Acupuncture (WAA) L1,2; ear acupuncture at zero point; and body points were stimulated by electroacu-puncture. After acupuncture therapy, the House-Brackmann score was grade 2. Medical options for the sequelae of BP are limited. Acupuncture’s effectivity in Bell palsy patients’ should be shown with more clinical studies. Technological advances in recent years have had an impact on people's lifestyles. Almost all activities in various sectors can be carried out and accessed via smartphones. This causes a decrease in physical activity which can lead to obesity. Obesity is an imbalance of energy entering the energy used in the body resulting in the accumulation of excess lipids which can interfere with the health condition of the body. Body composition is an important part of determining one's physical fitness. Body composition can be seen from a person's Body Mass Index (BMI). This type of research is analytic observational with cross sectional research design. The data used by researchers is secondary data in 2018. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The sample used in this study was 127 people, consisting of 47 men and 84 women. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 through the Spearman Analysis Test with the results of p = 0.000 (p-value <0.05) for the relationship between BMI and IKB in the slow way and p = 0.002 (p-value <0.05) for the relationship between BMI with IKB the fast way. The conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the analysis is that there is a weak correlation between body mass index and body fitness index on the Havard Step Test fitness test for students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jember. Disorders of concentration in workers can cause workplace accidents due to decreased ability to focus attention when working. The annual work accident rate is estimated at 250 million with 1.2 million people dead. One of the causes of disturbances in worker concentration is the physical factor in the form of noise. One of the high intensity noise is found in the wood cutting industry in Arjasa District, Jember. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of noise on the concentration level in wood cutting workers in Arjasa District, Jember. This is an analytic observational research with cross sectional study. The respondents amounted to 32 people taken with purposive sampling. The measurement of noise was using a sound level meter. The measurement of concentration level using Trail Making Test (TMT) A and B. Concentration level measurement is done when the respondent has worked for 30 minute. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents were aged between 25-28 years (28.1%) and had worked less than the same as 2 years (53.1%). The average noise intensity of the wood cutting area was 97.5 dB (A) and the loading and unloading area was 76.2 dB (A). Average noise intensity of the wood cutting area exceeds the noise threshold value. The level of concentration of workers in the wood cutting area is lower than the loading and unloading area workers. The results of data analysis using the independent t test indicate that there are differences in the mean TMT B score: TMT A between respondents who work in noisy and non-noisy environments (p=0,004). Worms infection is still common in Indonesia with a prevalence that varies around 40% -60% at all ages. This disease can be caused by infection of Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH) that require soil media to infect humans. The many plantation lands in Jember are a suitable environment for the development of STH and STH identification in soil can be done by flotation method using MgSO4 solution or sucrose. The comparison of the effectiveness of the MgSO4 solution with the sucrose solution has not been widely studied. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of using saturated MgSO4 solution with saturated sucrose to identify eggs and larvae of STH in Sumber Wadung plantation soil, Hargomulyo Village, Silo District, Jember Regency using the flotation method. Soil samples were taken as many as 35 samples in the garden area, 35 samples around the river, and 35 samples in residential areas,. The results of identification of STH eggs and larvae obtained Ascarid eggs (1.9%) and Hookworm larvae (0.01%). The number of positive soil samples containing STH eggs and larvae using different solutions is the same as three samples (0.02%).The Wilcoxon test results showed that there was no difference in the results of using the MgSO4 solution with the sucrose solution in the flotation method (p> 0.05) so that the MgSO4 solution and sucrose solution could be used to detect eggs and larvae of STH worms and had the same effectiveness. It turns out that STH infection has a protective effect against metabolic diseases by affecting glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity. The effect related to the immune response that caused by STH infection. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between STH infection with insulin sensitivity in adults at Padang City. This study design was a comparative cross-sectional study with multistage random sampling technique. Stool samples were taken from 127 adults and there were 24 subjects (18.9%) infected with STH. Furthermore, We took another 24 uninfected subjects and compared their fasting blood glucose (FBG) and fasting insulin. Then, from the data We calculated it’s Homeostatic Model for Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) score to assess insulin sensitivity. Unpaired T test and chi-square were used to analyze the data. The study result showed the average levels of FBG and fasting insulin were lower in STH-infected group than STH-uninfected group. However, there was no significant difference between two groups (FBG p=0.678; fasting insulin p=0.075). Also, STH-infected group tend to had good insulin sensitivity (66.7%) than STH-uninfected group (45.8%), but statistically, there was no significant relationship between STH infection and insulin sensitivity with p value=0.244. In conclusion, there is no relationship between STH infection and insulin sensitivity. Keywords: Soil-transmitted Helminths, Insulin Sensitivity, FBG

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the respiratory tract where many cells and cellular elements play a role, especially eosinophils, IgE, and other components. Uncontrolled asthma causes the quality of the patient's life to decline. Acupuncture is one of the complementary therapies that are scientifically proven to help cure asthma. Many studies have proven that acupuncture plays a role in the anti-inflammatory process. In this case report, we used the acupuncture method of thread embedding penetration from point EX-B1 to BL13, LI11, ST36, and BL23 on both sides. Acupuncture therapy is done once when the patient first arrives. The results after 3 months observations showed that patients experienced an improvement in eosinophil count, decreased level of IgE, and increased Asthma Control Test values. The improvement showed patients were fully controlled in the first month until the end of the evaluation. Therefore, thread embedding could be a good, safe, and effective treatment for asthma in adults. Keywords: asthma, thread embedding acupuncture, anti-inflammation
