The evolution of mankind, driven by developments in society, science, and technology, has had a significant impact on Mother Earth or nature, resulting in serious effects on the environment, ecosystems, and biodiversity. This research critically analyses illicit acts that violate the rights of nature and assesses their environmental impact. To achieve this, we employed an approach that incorporates inductive, dogmatic, historical-logical, and descriptive legal methods through a non-experimental design. The research results show a concerning lack of respect for the rights of nature in Ecuador. Furthermore, the inadequate control of illegal acts, including the endorsement of deforestation and the illegal and irresponsible extraction of natural resources, are causing a substantial negative impact on the environment, ecosystems, flora, and fauna.

Gender-based violence is one of the problems that most afflict Mexican society, and the most affected are women; with globalization and increased access to technology for many people, it has crossed the boundaries of the physical environment to manifest itself in digital spaces. There is a lack of literature approaching this problem, justifying the relevance of this research. The general objective of this paper is to analyze the current context of gender-based digital violence from the experience of public servants who currently provide care to women victims of gender-based digital violence in Nuevo León, Mexico. To carry out this research, a qualitative design was used in which 15 interviews were conducted with people who currently work as public prosecutors in the state of Nuevo León. For the analysis of the information, we opted for a thematic analysis based on the proposal of Braun and Clarke (2006), and for the treatment of the data we used the qualitative software Maxqda. In general terms, it was detected that many of the cases are not reported and involve bureaucratic and administrative problems that limit and hinder attention and resolution.

The research aimed to regenerate degraded soils by obtaining samples in the commune of Los Bajos del Pechiche, canton Montecristo, Ecuador. Germination trays and samples of partially degraded and degraded soils as well as fertile soil were used as control for results comparison. Characterization of bokashi with mountain microorganisms was carried out in laboratories using physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses. In a bioassay, bell pepper seedlings were evaluated in treatments of degraded soil mixtures with different combinations of bokashi with mountain microorganisms through response variables: germination at 10 days, number of leaflets in seedlings at 15-30 days, plant height at 30 days and root diameter at 30 days. The doses of bokashi with mountain microorganisms were mixed with degraded soil in the following proportions 25%, 50%, and 75%, respectively. The best treatments were established as 75% degraded and partially degraded soil plus 25% bokashi with mountain microorganisms since the highest values were obtained in the different variables. The laboratory analyses presented bokashi organic fertilizer with mountain microorganisms as an excellent alternative for the regeneration of degraded agricultural soils. The results when compared with the analysis of degraded soil and the levels of FAO concerning the soils using a universal scale demonstrated its efficient alternative for bioremediation. Regarding the economic dimension, it has very high values unfeasible for producers or farmers. Then, the Ecuadorian State should establish promotion policies, including subsidies to make the regeneration of degraded soils a reality and not a utopia.

Food biotechnology is a modern science that generates interesting goods and services for society, it is part of the curriculum of agribusiness engineering careers in Ecuadorian universities. The objective was to determine the influence of the teaching system (in-person and blended) on learning levels. The sample consisted of four hundred students of the fifth level of the aforementioned career, divided into 8 different academic semester periods, during 4 consecutive years (2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021), four in an in-person system and four in a blended system (in-person and online) of an Ecuadorian public university, through a quasi-experimental type of research. The evaluation was carried out using both the grade records obtained by the students, as well as the application of a theoretical and practical test at the end of the course. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a Student's t-test (P≤0.05). It was found that the in-person education system allows 72 % of learning of Biotechnology knowledge while the blended system improves it by up to 86 % with statistical differences between them, so Biotechnology is better understood and applied through a blended system of education.

This research focuses on analyzing the Value Added Tax (VAT) collection in the Ecuadorian system for 2015 - 2023. For this purpose, an approach to VAT in Latin America and the Caribbean is made and the analysis is deepened in the official statistics of Ecuadorian collection. It was necessary to apply a methodological route that consisted of a bibliographic-documentary study and a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach that allowed the analysis of numerical data on VAT collection, ratios, and refunds. The main results reflect a trend of constant growth in collection and refunds, with the year 2023, with partial information up to September, being the year that has achieved historical values of collection and refunds. Finally, although the goals remain close to the collection, the deviations of some fiscal years suggest significant economic challenges. Employing ANOVA, significant differences can be considered that go beyond the collection goal and differ in the effectiveness of the tax system concerning VAT.

Introduction: With 1.93 million new instances of colorectal cancer (CRC) reported in 2020, the disease presents a danger to world health. With its potential to improve CRC management, artificial intelligence (AI) has become increasingly prominent in the medical field. This research attempts to evaluate the current status of AI applications in CRC diagnosis and treatment, considering regional differences in healthcare systems and populations. Methodology: On databases like ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and PubMed, a systematic literature evaluation was carried out using search phrases including "artificial intelligence," "colorectal cancer," "diagnosis," and "treatment." English-language research on AI applications in CRC diagnosis and treatment that were published during the previous five years met the inclusion criteria. Results: Endoscopic, non-invasive, histological, and radiographic techniques are among the AI applications used in CRC diagnosis. Prognostic forecasts, diagnostic accuracy, and tumor segmentation are all significantly enhanced by AI. AI helps with targeted therapy and chemoradiotherapy decision-making, improves surgical accuracy, and helps with personalized regimens. Conclusion: The use of AI in colorectal cancer management has the potential for timely identification, precise diagnosis, and customized care. Continuous developments in AI algorithms and clinical data support the development of precision medicine, which offers significant gains in CRC treatment and detection.
