Virtual education at the university has become a reference to undertake actions with great contributions to current higher education. In relation to this, the general objective of this study was to analyze virtual university education as an opportunity to respond to current changes. To this end, a review of a series of research works related to the subject was carried out. From the methodological point of view, content analysis was used, through a documentary-bibliographic review of studies published in recent years; however, information from previous years, considered of value for this research, was also taken into account. For the compilation of information sources, the Internet database of reliable specialized academic sites was used. The most relevant results show that virtual education in higher education is a valuable tool that offers multiple possibilities for the development of the teaching-learning process in an environment consonant with today's educational demands. It is concluded that the incorporation of the virtual university education approach as a process of learning facilitation in national universities, contributes to the necessary transformation that the current reality imposes in terms of what corresponds to the university academic formation of a quality, competent graduate, who responds to the demands of the highly changing and demanding environment.

Background: Cyproheptadine as an appetite stimulant in children. Is it safe? This drug has been used to increase appetite in pediatric patients, regardless of their sex or the presence of pathological conditions. The effectiveness of this drug in terms of weight gain and growth is still a matter of interest. due to the diversity of conclusions regarding its mechanism of action and therapeutic results. Methods: This bibliographic review of the scientific literature focused on research in order to obtain results around scientific articles related to the use of cyproheptadine as an appetite stimulant in pediatric patients. Results: all the articles analyzed concluded that cyproheptadine is an effective medication for weight gain in pediatric patients, based on appetite stimulation, totally independent of sex and the presence of pathological states. Conclusions: Cyproheptadine is a safe medication, and adequately tolerated in all pediatric patients. It is possible to measure the improvement in weight and growth indices in patients under twelve years of age, if consumption is for at least four consecutive weeks.

This scientific document presents the analysis and optimization of the mesh of the grounding system of a 69 / 13.8 kV substation in Ecuador. The mesh is made up of horizontal and vertical conductors connected with vertical electrodes buried under the ground of the substation. The function of the structure is to effectively dissipate the high short-circuit currents generated in the system. The objective is to determine the safety parameters of the ground mesh by comparing the mesh design analysis using the IEEE method and the Finite Element Analysis (FEM) method. These two methods are used differently to determine the electrical parameters of the ground mesh, the step voltage and touch voltage, the number of horizontal conductors, the number of vertical conductors, the number of electrodes, and the earth resistance of the Substation. ETAP 16.0 software is used for analysis. First, the maximum short-circuit current of the substation of 69 / 13.8 kV is determined. Second, the analysis is performed to determine the input and output parameters of the ground mesh structure using the IEEE and FEM methods. It ends with the results of the optimization of each of the specific methods, making a comparison of the two methods used and giving a recommendation regarding the best method for the design of the ground mesh.

The objective of this research article was to describe the incidence of pesticides on the quality of Solanum Lycopersicum tomatoes in the supply of retail markets in the city of Lima, Peru, by consulting updated bibliographic sources related to the subject under study. The methodology used was documentary analysis, with a general descriptive and descriptive approach. The search for information was carried out by means of an initial selection based on the abstracts and titles of the available information, identifying potentially eligible articles in the different Google Scholar and SciELO databases. The population consisted of 25 documents registered under the format of articles/books consulted, selected through criteria, being conformed by a total of six (06) documents. It has been found in the bibliographic review that the use of pesticides in tomato, not only affects its quality, but also that of traders and the ecosystem itself; however, it was found that the expenses produced by the investment lead the farmer to look for mechanisms to increase his profit, such as the use of substances that can reduce the pests that naturally affect this type of vegetable. It was discovered that growers lack techniques for spraying, and that spraying is carried out profusely, as well as inadequate post-harvest vegetable handling techniques. Finally, it was determined that there are factors that are considered as determinants of tomato quality such as characteristics; firmness, durability, uniformity and area of origin; however, in most retail markets this denomination is identified more with commercial aspects.

The objective of this collection of information is to analyze the impacts generated by oil palm industrialization waste as pollutants in the lower basin of the Esmeraldas River in order to contribute theoretical information to its mitigation processes. Around the lower basin there is a group of 12 oil extraction plants in which they carry out their industrialization process of the fruit, generating liquid waste that is evacuated to the nearest tributaries, causing eutrophication problems, contamination of aquatic systems and health. of the population. Regarding the methodology, an analytical method was applied where information was extracted from completely reliable primary and secondary, physical and virtual sources of the topic raised. Using the aforementioned methodology, we leave the field open to carry out other investigations on the conditions of treatment and subsequent management of palm cultivation residues, since the bibliography is very brief regarding the final disposal of waste from of the extraction process, some documented cases on the production of fertilizers and fertilizers themselves.

Introduction: Palliative care and pain management are increasingly important for the active and comprehensive treatment of patients who do not respond to curative treatment. Objective: To identify palliative care and pain management in patients with stomach cancer. Methods: Using a qualitative and descriptive approach, national and international literature, publications and scientific articles were reviewed to investigate palliative care and pain management in patients with stomach cancer. Results: The articles identified five treatments focused on palliative care, defined as palliative gastrectomy, bypass, palliative radiotherapy, and stenting. Pain management in patients with gastric cancer was also examined using selected studies. Conclusion: Studies focused on controlling symptoms and maintaining or improving quality of life in patients with gastric cancer were analyzed. The collected studies reported survival as the primary outcome variable. Consistent evidence was identified that patients with advanced gastric cancer benefit in both survival and quality of life with a combination of chemotherapy plus supportive care compared to receiving supportive care alone, which will be in combination with the use of opioid analgesics.
