A low profile multi layer miniaturized unit cell frequency selective surface (FSS) with second-order band-pass response is design. The metallic layers in the form of capacitive patches and inductive grids are separated by dielectric substrates. The non-resonant sub-wavelength unit cells with unit cell dimensions and periodicities on the order of 0.15λ. The overall thickness of approximately 0.03λ is designed which is useful at lower frequencies with long wavelengths. The FSS exhibit a stable frequency response to different angles of incidence and polarizations. The analysis and synthesis of the FSS is done using equivalent circuit method and simulated using CST microwave studio at X-band.

In this article, we present a multi-agent approach that aims to design, modeling and implementation of an application "smart school". Indeed Several institutions adopt the computerized management of education to meet the needs of students using multi-agent systems. They have the ability to act simultaneously in a shared environment. The purpose of this approach is to automate some administrative services of education, based on the theory of distributed artificial intelligence (DAI) and multi-agent systems (MAS). This multi-agent application integrates entities called agents that cooperate and communicate them to perform specific tasks. Our system is based on the middleware JADE (Java Agent DEvelopment Framework) used for the implementation and agents management. This model based on multi-agent systems is tested on the personal data of an experiment conducted with the students of Sultan Moulay Slimane University in Beni Mellal.

The IEEE 802.15.4 protocol has recently been adopted as a communication standard for low-rate wireless personal area networks (LR-WPANs) due to its low data rate, low power consumption and low cost of Wireless Personal Area Networks. This protocol is quite flexible for a wide range of applications if appropriate tuning of its parameters is carried out. Importantly, the protocol also provides real-time guarantees by using the Guaranteed Time Slot (GTS) mechanism. Indeed, the GTS mechanism is quite attractive for Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) applications. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the performance of BPSK (Binary phase shift keying) and QPSK (Quadrature phase shift keying) modulation techniques. Investigations have been reported to compare the performance of the two modulation schemes. Here modulation schemes have been identified which gives significant performance improvement over the other based on network output load, energy consumption and power reception at the WPAN devices. The results have been presented Pan_Coordinator, GTS and Non GTS End Device (CAP device) of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN).

Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) has recently been explored to develop a novel algorithm for distributed optimization and control. This paper proposes a Model Predictive Control (MPC) of Load Frequency Control (LFC) based ICA to enhance the damping of oscillations in a two-area power system. A two-area non-reheat thermal system is considered to be equipped with Model Predictive Control (MPC). ICA is utilized to search for optimal controller parameters by minimizing a time-domain based objective function. The performance of the proposed controller has been evaluated with the performance of the conventional PI controller, and PI controller tuned by ICA in order to demonstrate the superior efficiency of the proposed MPC tuned by ICA. Simulation results emphasis on the better performance of the optimized MPC based on ICA in compare to optimized PI controller based on ICA and conventional one over wide range of operating conditions, and system parameters variations.

Mathematical statistical analysis of inductive loop coil-sensor is carried out for its magnetic field effects operating on extremely low frequency (<30Hz). A system using resister, inductor, and capacitor effects finds resonance frequency for this loop sensor and its sensitivity as ferromagnetic effect. The design methods for these coils with air and ferromagnetic cores are technically compared and summarized, which are also known and used as search coils or pickup coils or magnetic loop coil sensors. The amplitude and bandwidth of the frequency components are compared to the standardized normal spectrum. This paper also presents the applications of coil sensor as magnetic coil.

Orthogonal Frequency division multiplexing is a type of multicarrier modulation technique which is used in various wireless & telecommunication standards. In OFDM, higher data rate is split into several narrowband data stream that is transmitted simultaneously over a number of subcarriers. One major disadvantage of using OFDM is high Peak to Average power ratio. This paper presents the simulation result which compares the PAPR using SLM with Cyclic & Linear block codes. The simulation study verifies that the PAPR reduction by proposed method is better than the existing technique (SLM).

Security of information systems has become a critical problem of companies. In this paper, the principles of security and the description of some attacks that threatening the information system are given. After Techniques of cryptography, digital signature to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and authentication of data, are described. Some security protocol such as Secure Shell (SSH), Secure Socket Layer (SSL), Internet Protocol SECure (IPSEC), in order to ensure the security of connection resources, are described. Intrusion detection is implemented using free IDS "SNORT" software.

The objective of this paper is to study the main characteristics of wavelets that affect the image compression by using the discrete wavelet transform and lead to an image data compression while preserving the essential quality of the original image.
