The traditional method of improving the machining precision is mainly on account of changes in the workpiece and the grinding wheel in grinding process, including, considered the weakest of the workpiece from the axial stiffness, using center frame to increase the stiffness of the workpiece, take error compensation, and analyze the mechanism of gear grinding and the suppression measures of variable speed grinding and grinding chatter. Based on the analysis of the relationship among gear grinding mechanism, variable speed grinding and grinding chatter suppression and grinding precision, the variable speed micro-feed grinding process strategy based on adaptive fuzzy control is put up, that is according to the roller material and structure to reasonably determine the characteristics of grinding wheel and the parameters of grinding process. And with full consideration of roll grinders, changes of roller system along the axial stiffness and the deformation control in the roll grinding process, a new strategy of variable speed grinding micro-feed adaptive control optimization based on adaptive fuzzy control is proposed, which for improving the accuracy of the grinding roll presents a new and effective solution.

We propose, in this paper, a new method for Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) by exploiting the digital image content. Our method is based on the representation of the digital image content by a characteristics vector of the indexed image. Indeed, we have exploited the image texture to extract its characteristics and for constructing a new descriptor vector by combining the Bidimensional High Resolution Spectral Analysis 2-D ESPRIT (Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotationnal Invariance Techniques) method and Gabor filter. To evaluate the performance, we have tested our approach on Brodatz image database. The results show that the representation of the digital image content appears significant in research of imaging information.

Many researchers assume that the distribution of the nodes is done in a two-dimensional environment in the reason that the height of this network is negligible compared to its width and length. However, in the reality, three-dimensional (3D) deployment of the wireless sensor networks is used. Therefore, many applications require 3D architecture such as underwater, space communications, atmospheric, forest or building. Unfortunately, the energy consumption and throughput in the 3D environment decreases considerably compared to 2D in which we can’t neglect them in some applications. In his paper we applied the 3D architecture in LEACH protocol and we prove by computer simulation how this 2D approximation is not reasonable since the lifetime of 3D WSN decrease by about 21% over than 2D WSN.

To compose the wide visual angle and high resolution image from the sequence of images which have overlapping region in the same scene quickly and correctly, an improved SIFT algorithm which is based on D2oG interest point detector was proposed. It extracted the image feature points and generated corresponding feature descriptors by improved SIFT algorithm. Then, using the random consistency (RANSAC) algorithm purified feature point matching pairs and calculating the transformation matrix H. Last, complete the seamless mosaic of images by using the image fusion algorithm of slipping into and out. It respectively process the images which had the four typical transformations with the traditional SIFT and the proposed method. The result indicated that the number of feature pairs is fewer than SIFT algorithm and the mosaic time is shorter, and then the matching efficiency is higher than the later. This proposed method reduces the complexity of operation and improves real-time of image mosaic simultaneously.

Recently, clustering algorithms combined conventional methods and artificial intelligence. FSC-SOM is designed to handle the problem of SOM, such as defining the number of clusters and initial value of neuron weights. FSC find the number of clusters and the cluster centers which become the parameter of SOM. FSC-SOM is expected to improve the quality of FSC since the determination of the cluster centers are processed twice i.e. searching for data with high density at FSC then updating the cluster centers at SOM. FSC-SOM was tested using 10 datasets that is measured with F-Measure, entropy, Silhouette Index, and Dunn Index. The result showed that FSC-SOM can improve the cluster center of FSC with SOM in order to obtain the better quality of clustering results. The clustering result of FSC-SOM is better than or equal to the clustering result of FSC that proven by the value of external and internal validity measurement.

As wind power penetration increases continuously in total Power Generation, the wind turbines are necessary to stay connected to grid even under grid disturbances. An enhanced control strategy for DFIG is proposed in the present paper to meet the latest grid codes set by grid operators. The decoupled current controller implemented in grid voltage oriented reference frame is applied to Grid Side Converter (GSC) to improve the dynamic performance of DFIG. The proposed scheme enhances the Low Voltage ride through capability of Wind farm by providing reactive Power support under adverse grid conditions. The Proposed scheme also counteracts the ripples in DC Link voltage, stator/rotor currents and stator/reactive power to fulfill the grid code commitments in weak grid.Simulation results are presented to verify the feasibility and robustness of the proposed control scheme.

We present a simulation of a HEMT (high electron mobility transistor) structure. We extract the device characteristics through the analysis of DC, AC and high frequency regimes, as shown in this paper. This work demonstrates the optimal device with a gate length of 30 nm, and InAlN/GaN heterostructure for minimizing side effects. The simulated with Silvaco software of the HEMT devices with the materials InAlN show very good scalability in different application. We have demonstrated an excellent current density, as high as 644 mA/mm, a peak extrinsic transconductance of 710 mS/mm at VDS=2 V, and cutting frequency cutoffs of 385 GHZ, maximum frequency of 810 GHz, maximum efficiency of 23% for x-Band, maximum breakdown voltage of 365 V, and an ON/OFF current density ratio higher than 8 x 108. These values were determined through the simulation by hydrodynamics models, which makes that optimize the design is the future of this technology.

A transformer-less boost converter which provides high voltage gain without utilizing transformer or coupled inductors and extreme duty cycle is proposed in this paper. Also it is able to cancel the ripples in the input current at a preselected duty cycle, without increasing the number of components. The converter combines the features of boost converter and a three switch high voltage converter. At the input side, two inductors are interleaved for cancelling the input current ripple and at the output side switched capacitor voltage multiplier is used to increase the voltage gain. Feedback control is used to make the output voltage constant in spite of variation in the input or load or both i.e. both line and load regulation is accompanied. This proposed converter configuration helps eliminate the input current ripple and provides voltage deregulation for low power applications.
