Method for estimation of mobile robotic platform displacements based on acquisition of marks on the surface of displacements by the pattern installed on a mobile robot in the form of a triangle with markers at the vertices is considered. The method allows estimating algorithms and methods of localization and also to be used for calibration of mobile robot sensor systems.

This paper reviews the mini/nano /femto-satellites. The aim of this paper is to increase the awareness and interests of the students from the University of Montenegro in a space related research and technology development. This paper adds value to research where the main objectives of the study are: to identify the evolution path and origin of the dramatic changes of the architecture concept towards shrinking the size and mass of satellites; to explore the nature of improvements and benefits they allow to integration of sciences (such as biology and genetic research in space); to summarize the benefits associated with the accelerated maturity of CubeSat and to emphasize disruptive feature if CubeSats.

This work presents a method to construct near-optimal rational approximation to a rational function of higher degree. We develop an algorithm to perform singular value decomposition of infinite Hankel matrix that has a finite rank and use this decomposition to construct Adamyan-Arov-Krein approximant. We apply the result to the task of constructing an IIR digital filter.

This paper describes the way how to teach the hardware-software co-design technique and basics of System-on- Chip (SoC) design and architecture on a practical example using state of the art AP SoC (All Programmable System on Chip) which combines FPGA logic and dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU. Students are required to propose a new peripheral circuit in the FPGA logic and its interconnection with ARM CPU by an AXI4-Lite bus. This paper also presents the structure and results of these student's projects and the influence of previous courses oriented towards the general digital design in Informatics specialization intended for future embedded engineers.

The problem of sampling in data acquisition systems is considered in this paper. It is shown, that spectrum formation with desirable amplitudes in given spectral areas is possible if signal samples are presented as compound samples of special form. The technique of compound sample formation is offered. The approach makes it possible to exclude modulator and demodulator from data acquisition system with galvanic isolation. The technique can be used in medical devices like electrocardiographs.

Frequency synthesizers are an essential part of any modern electronic system. They generate clock with desired frequency used for next signal processing. The fine frequency resolution, low spurious signals, accuracy and stability are most important for these devices. In this paper, the new principle of multiple output fractional frequency synthesizer architecture based on digital circuits is presented. The software version, realized by microcontrollers was also tested. The theory is confirmed by simulation; moreover measuring results are also presented. The new synthesizer can be used also as a universal building block (fractional divider) in phase locked loop frequency synthesizers.

This paper presents implemented artificial neural network (ANN) for diagnosing pulmonary tuberculosis progression and dynamics. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused in most cases by microorganism, called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is a huge problem in most low-income countries, and also in the Balkan region. The design of the artificial neural network is based on two strains of tuberculosis bacteria and multiple strains of tuberculosis. Training data sets contain 1000 reports for this artificial neural, 800 of them are used for estimation and 200 for validation. The ANN system is validated on 1400 patients from the Clinical Centre University of Sarajevo in the two years period. Out of 1315 patients, 99.24% are correctly classified as tuberculosis related patients. System was 100% successful on 85 patients were diagnosed with normal lung function. Sensitivity of 99.24% and specificity of 100% in tuberculosis classification are obtained. Our artificial neural network is a promising method for predicting diagnosis and possible treatment routine for tuberculosis disease.

Over the last decade, several Fault-Tolerant techniques for FPGAs were proposed especially for recovering from permanent faults. Most of those techniques were based on relocation of the defective module into a new location acting as a spare. Accordingly, what is the suitable number of spares that should be added to a system? In this paper, a performability model is developed to quantitatively investigate the appropriate number of spares The model uses power consumption as the penalty. An example with three Markov models is studied to show system designers how to find the appropriate tradeoff between increase in reliability and decrease in performability.
