A FPGA-Based SIFT Architecture for Motion Estimation in Video Coding 基于fpga的视频编码运动估计SIFT结构

In multi-view video coding (MVC), inter-view and temporal redundancies worsen coding efficiency and video quality, and they are needed to eliminate. Motion Estimation (ME) is a key factor for high quality video coding to reducing complexity. This paper proposes a parallel hardware architecture for computing ME by using scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT). It has advantages over many other algorithms because features that detected are fully invariant to image scaling and rotation. This paper applies Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to reduce the complexity in SIFT algorithm. SIFT feature is used to matching corresponding point to find the search range. The experimental results shown that the hardware architecture for SIFT algorithm realized fast feature extraction, and reduces the computational load and memory.

Comparison of Wireless Channels for Antenna Tilt Based Coverage and Capacity Optimization 基于天线倾斜覆盖和容量优化的无线信道比较

Radio coverage and capacity optimization is an important challenge for mobile network operators in deploying future generations of cellular networks. One key factor influencing the coverage in mobile networks is related to the configuration of antennas and especially the antenna tilt setting. The power of the received useful signal in a cell can be increased with proper antenna tilt, causing a significant improvement in signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) which also leads to reduction of interference towards other cells. Dynamic antenna tilt optimization is even more important for the next fifth generation (5G) of wireless communications especially in ultra-dense scenarios for the provision of sufficient coverage and quality of service (QoS). In this work, the effect of wireless channel model selection for the goal of self-optimization of the base station (BS) antenna electrical tilt is investigated. A comparative analysis of the application of different propagation models is performed using an existing method for dynamic and adaptive tilt adjustment based on reinforcement learning (RL) methodology. Simulation experiments considering a cellular network with multiple cells in an urban scenario with randomly distributed users have been carried out and the achieved results show that the careful choice of channel model and related parameters is crucial for the antenna tilt self-optimization process.

Optimization of 4G LTE Network in Thailand 泰国4G LTE网络优化

In this paper present how evaluate the results of optimization of fourth-generation long term evolution network in Thailand. The investigated area is North of Thailand. The power level of received reference signal in the selected area is measured by Nemo outdoor. The measurement results are used to optimization of empirical models for correct prediction of in long term evolution network. Comparison of the results obtained by empirical models before and after tuning is made.

Distortion Analysis of the HB-UWB Transmission Waveform for WBAN Applications 用于WBAN应用的HB-UWB传输波形失真分析

The body area network (BAN) is a wireless technology, which play an important role in very short range wireless communications and find a wide variety of applications such as WiMedia for relaying information gathered by biological sensors on body. The ultra wideband (UWB) technology is suitable for BAN system because of transmission by impulse radio and low power. However, signal distortion due to human body effect in human body-ultrawide band (HB-UWB) channel must be study. In this study, we evaluate HB-UWB channel which serious disturbed by the distortion. The distortion can cause extremely poor signal quality to wireless transmission channel even in free space because of the antenna characteristics and waveform distortion. Thus, the understanding of the effect from characterization of antenna and waveform effect is important. The measurement data of distortion analysis due the antenna and human body of HB-UWB for WBAN were presented in this research report. The receiver waveform template was present to maximize system signal to noise ration. The equation of Friis had been used to evaluate the results. The proposed method is practical for the HB-UWB evaluation, UWB antenna design, and provide more precision to identify the waveform distortion. The results can apply for the design of wireless medical devices which focus on the effect of human body

Chitta is the memory bank, which stores impressions and encounters, and keeping in mind that it very well may be exceptionally helpful, chitta can likewise cause troubles if its working isn't composed with the others. If chitta isn't facilitated with alternate elements of psyche, at that point the thousands, millions, or innumerable impressions in this bed of the pool of mind begin to mix and emerge. It seems as though these numerous inactive impressions, waking up are on the whole seeking the consideration of manas to complete their needs in the outer world. Now a days, the concept of colloquial associate is taking of and there are a lot of mobile application and websites that provide amazing functionality as a personal assistant to control chitta. A virtual colloquial associate helps making the lives of people easier by performing the routine tasks that a user has to perform. It thus saves time for the user and makes the users life efficient and more Productive with controlled consciousness. Considering the technology is up and coming there are a few shortcomings in the existing technology that we have tried to address with our proposal. In this proposal we have tried making a personal assistant to control chitta that cannot have small talk with the user but can also perform smart tasks. The number of actions that the Personal Assistant can perform increase with time as well keep training the bot on perform new actions. A feature that has been implemented here understands of natural context and its appropriate response

Digital Technology has been gaining tremendous impact on improving school education quality especially in teaching and learning techniques. In teaching, the process can start from preparing the teaching materials, teaching activities, communicating with students and evaluating student knowledge level. Digital technology can be used to improve and facilitate each stage of this teaching process. However, effectively selecting digital tools for used in each stage can be difficult for teachers especially the ones in non-IT field due to the knowledge of the digital tools, lacking digital skill as well as the limited experiences on how to use them in teaching activities. In many countries, their ministry of education has been providing digital tools and many trainings trying to help teachers to effectively utilize digital tools in their teaching activities; however, the tool selection and the training approach that were used still not effective enough that the tools were used effectively and non-productively in teaching process. This paper reports the result of the developing digital skill for teachers and how they can use digital tools in teaching activities or process. This report is also one part of the major research project supported by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) of Thailand. The digital tools were collaboratively selected by teachers in the project then trained by researcher team. The tool utilizations in teaching activities are designed, implemented and concluded by community of teachers in the project.

Design of Low-Cost Smart Catś Eye Reflector Device for Damage Identification of a Bridge 用于桥梁损伤识别的低成本智能catka眼反射装置设计

This research proposes a smart and easy approach towards the problem of bridge monitoring so that sudden structural failures could be avoided. To achieve this, a smart cat eye reflector is embedded with an accelerometer, low-cost Wi-Fi microchip with full TCP/IP stack and microcontroller compatibility and an Arduino Uno microcontroller for the processing of the data through a wireless channel. To identify the damage area using smart cat eye reflector, the effectiveness of this device is tested by taking measurements of protypes of undamaged and damaged test bridge system. This device may also find applications in the smart cities and can be used for the construction of the smart bridges in the near future.

To achieve this, a smart cat eye reflector is embedded with an accelerometer, low-cost Wi-Fi microchip with full TCP/IP stack and microcontroller compatibility and an Arduino Uno microcontroller for the processing of the data through a wireless channel. To identify the damage area using smart cat eye reflector, the effectiveness of this device is tested by taking measurements of protypes of undamaged and damaged test bridge system. Dynamic Access Points Grouping for Mobility Driven User-Centric Wireless Networks 移动驱动的以用户为中心的无线网络的动态接入点分组

Future access networks will implement new types of user-centric cell-less architectures and advanced transmission technologies to meet the growing traffic demands. This is especially valid for ultra-dense scenarios where the number and placement of access points and users is very high and comparable. One of the main features of such user-centric cell-less ultra-dense architectures is related to new methods for mobility management to ensure reliable connectivity and high area throughput. One is the dynamic access point grouping which considered as one of the core functions of such networks. In this paper heuristic access point grouping approach with low computational complexity is proposed based on two generalized properties which related to the wireless channel, user requirements and available resources in the access points. This allows the grouping process to be represented as a dynamic service system and its performance to be a function of user allocation, user mobility, user behavior, the character and structure of user service requests.

Determining Recommendations for Preventing Elderly People from Cardiovascular Disease Complication Using Objective Distance 用客观距离确定预防老年人心血管疾病并发症的建议

With increasing numbers of elderly people of the world's populations, Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) has become a critical health concern. It represents the main cause of death worldwide. Accordingly, preventing aged people from CVD has been extremely considered nowadays. The aim of this study is to determine proper recommendations to the elderly who have high risks of CVD complication for preventing themselves. Therefore, this paper applies the concept of an objective distance which is a measurement used as the indicator for recommendations. It defines the distance between the current status of the elderly people and objective level of each attribute for deriving the proper recommendations. Significantly, this distance provides the effective direction for their personal lifestyle adjustment. An experiment is performed in the context of hypertension, which is one of the main risk factors of CVDs. Data is gathered from 60 elderly people who are at the high risk of CVD in Chiang Rai, Thailand. A result of this experiment presents that the proposed objective distance can be efficiently employed for providing the appropriate recommendations to each elderly person. Also, they successfully modified their lifestyle behaviors for protecting themselves from CVDs, accounted for 90 percent accuracy.

The modern technology of wireless communications is rapidly developed and apply with short range communication networks around human body. The related research in these application has been investigating. In order to study the effect of human body in the high speed data rate technology, the patterns of ultra wideband for body area network has been studied. The measurement results have been measure and collected by vector network analyzer and analyze by using the equation of Friis. The proposed model is design for test and measure with human body in an indoor environment. The results show the usefulness information for a wireless communication for human body area network with ultra wideband.
