Personalization has an important role in information systems. It is an effective solution for reducing complexity when searching information. In this way, the user feels like the system was developed for him/her. In this context, personalization can be seen as an optimization problem. To this end, we propose a multi-criteria decision making approach to personalize system. The proposed approach has been validated by applying it to personalize a system in intelligent transport field.

In the paper the authors presents the idea of complementing the systematization of logistics infrastructure division by an additional differentiating rung. A part from the traditional components some so called promite ones can be also distinguished within the measures of relocation of loads of particular external transport branches. The authors provide the examples of promite means of transport, later they consider their usefulness in the transport processes. Mainly it is discussion on theoretical issues for concrete ships and WIG air crafts usage as an additional transport modes.

Sustainable management of end-of-life products is increasingly becoming a manufacturers' responsibility. Especially, under the duel drivers of legislative enforcement and economic profit, product recovery has been given greater attention by many manufacturers. However, the uncertainties within the reverse flow leads to a more complicated experience in operating product recovery networks. This paper aims to develop identification of the uncertainties within reverse logistics, and examine the effect of them on economic performance by developing a system dynamic model. The simulation result suggests that expanding the reverse logistics network, i.e. increasing collection points, will lead to profit up to a point, with the extent of this profit dependant on the number of collection points. However, this must be combined with legislative enforcement. The combined cooperation of customers, (re-) manufacturers, and government will shape the reverse logistics system, and gear it to success.

In this communication the problem of managing in a collaborative way airport ground handling is studied. The optimization of ground handling fleet management is considered with the aim of minimizing aircraft delays at departure in addition to the operational cost of the ground service fleets. The complexity of the resulting optimization problem and operational considerations lead to propose a decentralized management structure to solve the nominal as well as the real time fleet management problem. Then, after proposing a collaborative scheme between ground handling fleet managers, airlines and airport authorities, an heuristic approach is proposed to solve each fleet management problem. A case study considering a large airport is discussed.

This work deals with the problem of the minimization of the waiting time for patients at the emergency services of Habib Bourguiba Hospital in Sfax. The performance evaluation of a real system consists of a modeling stage from system to model and a stage of analysis of the performance of the mode. Then, we moved on the analysis though the simulation technique. Simulation is useful for modeling the complex flow of patients and for testing the scenarios resulting from changing certain parametres. In this research, we have chosen the simulation of the flow of patients by using the software Arena.

This paper describes an application of a Hybrid Algorithm based on the Multi-Objective Simulated AnnealingTabu Search (MOSA-TS) to solve the dynamic Dial a Ride Problem (DRP). In fact, different versions of the dynamic Dial k Ride Problem are found in every day practice; transportation of people in low-density areas, transportation of the handicapped and elderly persons and parcel pick-up and delivery service in urban areas. The problem is to affect every new passenger request to one of the vehicles and to design a new route and schedule for this vehicle. This affectation must be done in real time. In this work, we offer our contribution to the study and to solve the dynamic DRP in the application using a multi agent system based on Hybrid Algorithm: Multi-Objective Simulated Annealing -Tabu Search (MOSA-TS).

The ongoing world economic crisis has shown that being a successful enterprise in normal economic conditions is not a guarantee of sustainability. So the crisis has led to bankruptcy of many successful enterprises, especially large-sized enterprises. This brought into question the future of large-sized enterprises. The only alternative to large-sized enterprises is networking of small and medium-sized enterprises and their optimal selection in the creation of new virtual enterprise. This paper deals with issue of determination and evaluation of criteria when selecting cooperators for the newly created production process. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate and compare the levels of technical efficiency and effectiveness in the 12 regional companies of urban public transport in Tunisia during the period 2000-2010. To do this as a first part, we used two approaches of the data envelopment method: The input -oriented method to measure the efficiency of the public transport network and the output oriented one to judge their effectiveness. In addition, in the second part of this study, we will determine the factors that influence the efficiency of the companies. The results obtained in the first part show that the input-oriented model achieves an average efficiency slightly more beneficial than the output-oriented one (92.44% compared to 90.13%). Thus the results of the second part suggest that the length of the network is significant and positively act on pure technical efficiency. Other variables are not significant.

Recently, there has been increasing interest in designing autonomous mobile robots able to navigate in different types of environment and automatically avoid collisions with obstacles in their paths. In particular intelligent planning techniques have shown potential in controlling robotic fields thanks to their stability of treatment and their ability to approximate nonlinear and complex functions. In this paper, we present a path planning algorithm that allows wheeled robot to explore unknown environment. The robot would avoid collision and follow the best and shortest path towards it target. Our approach consists of developing localization algorithm for the robot in Cartesian frame, we define the position of robot for making the robot autonomous and able to predict its position regarding to the goal. Theoretical results of developed algorithm are used to generate the desirable properties of intelligent techniques and neural network has been viewed as a powerful alternative to implementation of mathematical problem. We use tow recurrent neural networks connected in series for intelligent navigation of the robot.
