The significant growth generally observed in road transportation has led to serious human and economic losses as a result of road accidents. This observation calls for considerable attention from civil security policies and requires a precise and rigorous identification of public action priority sectors. In this paper, we propose a traffic accident prediction system based on fuzzy logic which allows to identify “the degree of exposure to road accidents' risk”, and to analyze the level of complexity of the factors involved. We focus our study on the possible influence of a series of local criteria observed and selected for each kilometer per segment of the road network studied. The study was conducted on a road network within the rural area of the Wilaya of Mascara in the northwestern region of Algeria. After data analysis and simulation conducted using Matlab/Simulink, a series of logical rules using multiple fuzzy membership functions were implemented on the evaluation criteria observed. The evaluation system has an adaptive capacity and an automatic learning advantage and provides a very important contribution as a treatment system contributing to measure the risk of road accidents to improve the level of safety on the roads. A Geographic Information System (GIS) was integrated into the analysis process to enable a spatial visualization of the degrees of exposure to road accidents' risk, providing a cartographically measurable solution to establish and attenuate accident risk. Results show that the developed system can be effectively applied as a useful Road Safety tool capable of identifying risk factors related to the characteristics of the road.

In this paper we present our approach in the field of Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS), in fact the risk of dropping out for learners have emerged as crucial issues to be solved. So it is necessary to ensure an individualized and continuous learner's follow-up during learning process. Several research effort has been spent on the development of ITS. However the available literature does not generally concentrate on the individual realtime continuous follow up of learners. Our contribution in this field is to design and implement a computer system able to initiate learning and provide an individualized monitoring of learners. This approach involves 1) the use of Dynamic Case Based Reasoning to retrieve the past experiences that are similar to the learners' traces (traces in progress), and 2) the use of Multi-Agents System. Our Work focuses on the use of the learner traces. When interacting with the platform, every learner leaves his/her traces in the machine. The traces are stored in database, this operation enriches collective past experiences. Via monitoring, comparing and analyzing these traces, the system keeps a constant intelligent watch on the platform, and therefore it detects the difficulties hindering progress, and it avoids possible dropping out. The system can support any learning subject.

This paper presents a binarization pre-processing strategy for mixed datasets. We propose that the use of binary attributes for representing nominal and integer data is beneficial for classification accuracy. We also describe a procedure to convert integer and nominal data into binary attributes. Expectation- Maximization (EM) clustering algorithms was applied to classify the values of the attributes with a wide range to use a small number of binary attributes. Once the data set is pre-processed, we use the Support Vector Machine (LibSVM) for classification. The proposed method was tested on datasets from the literature. We demonstrate the improved accuracy and efficiency of presented binarization strategy for modelling mixed and complex data in comparison to the classification of the original dataset, nominal dataset and binary dataset.

This paper proposes a new algorithm to coordinate two partners of a supply chain. Using incentive systems to influence their partner's planning, members of supply chains exchange non-strategic information to coordinate their operations planning with their partners.

In the context of “supply chain” characterized by the presence of risks and uncertainties, the adoption of a risk management based on robust tools is paramount. Assuming that the contract is the tool of our risk management, our objective is to study the difference of contract role for two contracting parties in a dyadic supply chain based on an adopted method to analyze clauses utilities. To capitalize on the achievements of the conducted analysis, a characterization of the risk elements in each part of the studied relationship was made.

In the following paper, we were interested in a model related to School Bus Routing Problem (SBRP). Our first objective is to develop a transportation plan to minimize the costs of running across network while meeting a set of constraints such as the capacity of bus and the distance establish by each vehicle. The metaheuristics, namely genetic algorithm are able to solve NP-hard problems. To reach the optimal solution, a new version of genetic algorithm is developed; the set of new operators created in this version offer a great exploitation of the space and then it take can provide a feasible solution. The best solution provided by SBRP allows us to reduce the total transport costs. SBRP would be probably the key to develop the transport company's economies and a major challenge for sustainable development.

In this paper, a guideline for designing dependable assistance systems with fault-tolerant control and real-time adaptation of autonomy degree for Human-Machine-Interaction (HMI) with the human in the loop is proposed. The approach models the technical system and its operator symmetrically as dynamical system components, which are decomposed into behavioral levels with different reaction times. The approach is based on a multi-level behavior-based control structure, which is extended to monitoring and fault detection in order to enhance the overall system dependability, to user modeling and to shared human-machine interaction. Methods and techniques used for the implementation of the proposed concept are demonstrated on an air and a ground vehicle.

The reverse logistic activities consist to import used manufacturing systems, and reuse them for further production periods. In this paper we present a general framework for a remanufacturing system. The process of remanufacturing is treated as a source of raw material acquisition. We propose a multi criteria method to find out the number of parts to be processed at each remanufacturing facilities and the number of purchased parts taking into account the goals of decision maker. The proposed mathematical goal programming model is validated through numerical analysis.

The quality evaluation topic of human computer interfaces is increasingly attracting researchers' attention in the information system community. The quality subjective assessment of the interactive systems interfaces using the advanced technology is an important issue which merits attention from researchers. In order to increase the overall satisfaction of users, questionnaire tool is used as one of the main techniques dedicated to aid evaluators to measure users' perceived qualities. The purpose of this paper is to enhance the quality subjective assessment by defining a conceptual specification for a new automatic questionnaire generating tool able to collect, analyze and criticize the users' views. The developed questionnaire tool will be used in the context of evaluation of traffic supervision system in Valenciennes (France). The main contribution is to propose a web generation questionnaire environment to provide a subjective evaluation for the interactive systems interfaces. It includes the proposed questionnaire model and describes the applied subjective evaluation process based on ISO 14598 norms.
