A Comprehensive Evaluation of RPL under Mobility 流动性条件下RPL的综合评价

This paper focuses on routing for vehicles getting access to infrastructure either directly or via multiple hops through other vehicles. We study routing protocol for low-power and lossy networks (RPL), a tree-based routing protocol designed for sensor networks. Many design elements from RPL are transferable to the vehicular environment. We provide a simulation performance study of RPL and RPL tuning in VANETs. More specifically, we seek to study the impact of RPL's various parameters and external factors (e.g., various timers and speeds) on its performance and obtain insights on RPL tuning for its use in VANETs. We then fine tune RPL and obtain performance gain over existing RPL.

As the environmental pollution and energy crises are getting more and more remarkable, hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) have taken on an accelerated pace in the world. A comprehensive overview of HEVs is presented in this paper, with the emphasis on configurations, main issues, and energy management strategies. Conclusions are discussed finally.

Road Users' Risky Behavior: Analysis Focusing on Aggressiveness 道路使用者的危险行为:基于攻击性的分析

With transport and traffic developing permanently, we can meet more and more aggressive drivers on roads. We can see various kinds of aggressiveness and aggressive behavior that can lead to dangerous situations which can threaten one's health or even life. The problem of aggressive driving on the roads is becoming more current. Speeding, inappropriate gestures, and nonobservance of safe distance, are only a fraction of the aggressive behavior of many drivers that need to be solved in the road traffic. At present, the problem of aggressive driver behavior in Slovakia is not resolved yet.

Towards Driver's State Recognition on Real Driving Conditions 真实驾驶条件下驾驶员状态识别研究

In this work a methodology for detecting drivers' stress and fatigue and predicting driving performance is presented. The proposed methodology exploits a set of features obtained from three different sources: (i) physiological signals from the driver (ECG, EDA, and respiration), (ii) video recordings from the driver's face, and (iii) environmental information. The extracted features are examined in terms of their contribution to the classification of the states under investigation. The most significant indicators are selected and used for classification using various classifiers. The approach has been validated on an annotated dataset collected during real-world driving. The results obtained from the combination of physiological signals, video features, and driving environment parameters indicate high classification accuracy (88% using three fatigue scales and 86% using two stress scales). A series of experiments on a simulation environment confirms the association of fatigue states with driving performance.

Stereo Image Matching for Vehicle-Borne Mobile Mapping System Based on Digital Parallax Model 基于数字视差模型的车载移动地图系统立体图像匹配

Considering automatic and effective stereo image matching for vehicle-borne mobile mapping system (VMMS), a new stereo image matching algorithm based on digital parallax model (DPM) is proposed in this paper. The new matching propagation strategy is designed in this algorithm, which includes two processes as DPM construction and parallax prediction. With some known matched points, the DPM of stereo image pairs is firstly constructed, and parameters for confirming conjugate epipolar line is also worked out. Then searching range during dense matching can be confirmed under constraints of DPM and epipolar line, which can improve matching speed and accuracy. Furthermore, to improve matching robustness, the computation model of similarity measurement combined with local structure feature and global color feature is designed. The new algorithm is applied to actual stereo images taken by VMMS to verify its validity. Experimental results show that the proposed approach has higher reliability and accuracy.

A New Distributed and Scalable Network Protocol Targeting Intelligent Transportation Systems 面向智能交通系统的分布式可扩展网络协议

Vehicular networks are the major ingredients of the envisioned Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) concept. An important component of ITS which is currently attracting wider research focus is road traffic monitoring. The actual approaches for traffic road monitoring are characterized by longer response times and are also subject to higher processing requirements and possess high deployment costs. In this paper, we propose a completely distributed and scalable mechanism for wireless sensor network-based road traffic monitoring. The approach relies on the distributed and bidirectional exchange of traffic information between the vehicles traversing the routes and a miniature cluster head and takes into consideration both the security and reliability of data communication. In addition, the communication between nodes is collision-free since the underlined data link layer protocol relies on a heuristic time multiplexed-based protocol. The performance analysis shows that the proposed mechanism usually outperforms other algorithms for different traffic densities.

Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Network for Transportation System Applications 运输系统应用的异构无线传感器网络

The important innovations in wireless and digital electronics will support many applications in the areas of safety, environmental and emissions control, driving assistance, diagnostics, and maintenance in the transport domain. The last few years have seen the emergence of many new technologies that can potentially have major impacts on transportation systems. One of these technologies is Wireless Sensor Networks. A wireless sensor device is typically composed of a processing unit, memory, and a radio chip which allows it to communicate wirelessly with other devices within range. The Embedded Middleware in Mobility Applications (EMMA) project delivers a middleware that aims to facilitate the interaction between sensing technologies in transportation systems. This paper outlines our experience in the EMMA project and provides an illustration of the important role that wireless sensor technology can play in future transportation system. The paper discusses our experience of using heterogeneous sensors to develop transportation system applications in the EMMA project and focuses on how cooperation between vehicle and infrastructure can be addressed. It also presents encouraging results obtained from the experiments in investigating the feasibility of utilising wireless sensor in vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication in real transportation applications.

A wireless sensor device is typically composed of a processing unit, memory, and a radio chip which allows it to communicate wirelessly with other devices within range. The Embedded Middleware in Mobility Applications (EMMA) project delivers a middleware that aims to facilitate the interaction between sensing technologies in transportation systems. This paper outlines our experience in the EMMA project and provides an illustration of the important role that wireless sensor technology can play in future transportation system. The paper discusses our experience of using heterogeneous sensors to develop transportation system applications in the EMMA project and focuses on how cooperation between vehicle and infrastructure can be addressed.
