Our study explores the average degree and clustering of a complex mobility network designed to model and simulate the COVID-19 pandemic. To construct this network, we utilized mobility data collected in São Paulo, creating a network in which each node represents an individual, and each edge weight denotes the duration of contact between individuals during a typical day. By analyzing data from an Origin-Destination Research, we calculated the average degree and weighted clustering coefficient of the network for various minimum contact duration. We aimed to understand the effect of increasing minimum contact duration on network structure. Our findings indicate that networks with different minimum contact duration remained sparse, as the average degree of the generated graphs decreased.

. In this work we propose a two dimensional version of the spatial Solow-Swan economic growth model with capital-induced labor migration. As in the unidimensional model, the stability analysis results show that the capital-induced labor migration parameter must be greater than a critical value so that the model can generate static spatial agglomerations or spatio-temporal cycles. Numerical simulations show that a more intense capital-induced labor migration and returns to scale in the production process tend to increase the complexity of the two-dimensional spatio-temporal dynamical behavior of the economy. Moreover, in two spatial dimensions the static economic agglomerations generated by the model can assume one of two forms, spots or stripes.

. The dynamics of information propagating among populations that interact might have an enormous impact on public opinion, particularly when such information is false, known as fake news. In this contribution, we propose and analyze the fake news dissemination that occurs when two distinct sub-populations (not necessarily homogeneous) share information, using a reinterpre-tation of a compartmental model for disease dissemination. We show the model’s well-posedness and present numerically simulated scenarios for the dynamics of fake news spreading among populations, with the model parameters associated with some human development indices. The obtained results show that the velocity of the fake news diffusion among the populations is largely impacted by the gap between the human development indices of each population. They also show that a small percentage of control over the information shared by the population leads to a large decrease in the amount and velocity of fake news diffusion.
