This research aims to clarify the importance of dialogue in calling the people to God Almighty and to elucidate on the correct belief of the interlocutor by using examples from the sunnah and biography of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the predecessor of this nation. It also aims to demonstrate the importance of dialogue in the life of the individual, society, and nation in building positive relationships among members of the Muslim community, with other communities, and even with non-Muslims. The research also aims to collect the authentic hadiths related to dialogue in the books on the Prophet’s (PBUH) sunnah regarding the topic of faith, which is the basis of the call to God Almighty and upon which the worship of Muslims is based. This study explains the most important matters that can benefit the discerning preacher regarding the phases after the Prophet’s mission in Makkah and after the Prophet’s migration. The researcher found that the straight prophetic method is what Mulims desperately need today to clarify the word of God to the people. This article also explains the importance of dialogue in the life of a Muslim preacher and society. The dialogue conducted should follow the method of the Prophet (PBUH) by displaying gentleness and kindness besides adopting the easiest ways and means to deliver the call to the faith.

A Comparative Study Between Reflexive Thematic Analysis in Social Sciences and Qur’anic Thematic Analysis in Qur’anic Sciences 社会科学中的反身性主位分析与古兰经科学中的古兰经主位分析的比较研究

Islamization of social sciences is a collective religious obligation (farḍ al-kifāyah) to serve the Muslim community. Thus, it is steadily progressing after being established last century. However, the Western secularly oriented social scientists as typically sceptical, especially the positivistic, or post-positivistic ones. Moreover, editors of established journals also are reluctant to acknowledge the application of traditional Islamic methodologies in the Islamization of Knowledge (IoK) researches due the methodological integrity issues such as the validity issues according to their practice. But then, Islam has a lengthy history of traditional methodologies dated back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. whose prophethood began in the seventh century C.E.  Since then, he had founded initial Thematic Analysis methodology in interpreting the Holy Qur'an with another relevant part of it intertextually, and his prophetic guidance (al-Sunnah), which is more developed in the Fundamentals of Islamic Jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh) for its significant role to the Islamic Jurisprudence (al-Fiqh al-Islamī). Thus, by rights it has to be equivalently recognized like other de/post-colonial/subaltern methodologies especially when it is being used in IoK movement that revers the revelation (al-Naqlī) above the human intellect (al-ᶜAqlī).  This paper is a comparative study between the Reflexive Thematic Analysis method that is commonly used in the Social Sciences and the Qur’anic Thematic Analysis (QTA – Al-Tafsīr Al-Mauḍūᶜī) methodology under the Qur’anic Sciences (ᶜUlūm al-Qur’ān). Some compatible methodological fusions allowable in Islam are suggested for the QTA to stay relevant in merging the Islamic Studies into the contemporary Social Sciences.

This paper is concerned with the cause of the plague and its prevention. It aims to investigate the prophetic guidance on this issue compared to medical discoveries of the modern era. The importance of this research lies in multiple prophetic hadiths regarding the plague disease and its accordance with the continuity of research and recent findings in contemporary medicine. The researcher followed two approaches in this study, namely analytical and comparative approaches. In the first part, the researcher defined the plague and its difference with pestilence. In the second part, the researcher compared the prophetic guidance and contemporary medical findings regarding plague definition, the cause of its occurrence, and ways to guard against it. The paper shows agreements between the hadiths of the Prophet and contemporary medicine in this issue. In a way, modern medicine expands on matters clarified by the hadiths in some respects.

Variasi Metodologi Ilmu Tarannum: Suatu Perbincangan Kritis 塔兰努姆科学的方法论变异:批判性对话

Al-Quran is the highest miracle of the Prophet Muhammad saw, which includes various disciplines of knowledge including the knowledge of Qiraat, tafsir and tarannum. In accordance with its meaning, this discipline of tarannum emphasizes the processing of sound and beautifying the sound according to the process of certain tones, beats and rhythms. Although it is generally understood that knowledge in this discipline is applied to appreciate the uslub of al-Quran, but wihin the public society,  they are not clear about the differences in the variation of knowledge methodology in this field. Therefore, this article aims to analyze some methodologies of tarannum science that should be followed by every reciter of the Qur'an. This study applies qualitative research methods with inductive and deductive methodologies, to identify the best methodological variations available in the science of tarannum. The results of the study found that there is a great importance in the implementation and use of the right methodology in the science of tarannum, this is because without it, it will inhibit the method of proper reading presentation. Even these methods must be diversified without running away from the methods that are imposed on the limits of recitation advocated by the Qurra.

Mekanisme Kawalan Kesejahteraan Psikologi Berasaskan Metode al-Tafakkur Dalam Al-Quran

The issue of the psychological well-being of society is a discourse that is increasingly given universal attention in the aftermath of the covid-19 pandemic. In the fourth quarter of 2020, a study by the Malaysian Public Service Department reported that the interpretation of the Malaysian psychological well-being index was at a moderate level with an overall score of 7.2. Among the key elements that are a measure of psychological well-being are emotional quality, self-actualization, life satisfaction, psychological functionality and the ability to interact with the environment. In this regard, initiatives to control the sustainability of psychological well-being are being actively pursued by various parties. Thus, the purpose of this study is to present a proposal for the control of psychological well-being control based on the method of al-tafakkur in the Quran. The study in the form of theory application is worked on the basis of qualitative methods through content analysis approach. The results of the study found that the discourse of the method of al-tafakkur in the Qur'an is holistic. The combination of the understanding is able to control and stabilize the mind or emotions. In conclusion, the Quran-based method of al-tafakkur should be dignified as part of the complementary mechanism of psychological well-being control.

Keberkesanan Pengajaran Dan Pembelajaran Terhadap Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Islam Secara Dalam Talian: Perspektif Guru Di Sekolah Maahad Hafiz, Klang

The COVID-19 pandemic had impacted teaching and learning (P&P) at schools and higher institutions. The schools closure due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) had prompted the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) to prepare a Teaching and Learning at Home Manual (PdPR) as an alternative to teaching and learning in the new norms. Practical assessment in Islamic Education subjects such as servitude (Ibadah) and Islamic Jurisprudence (fikh) is a challenge in providing the understanding to the students. In addition, the attendance and commitment of students in learning sessions are the matters that need to be given attention to in observing the effectiveness of the teaching and learning. Thus, this study aims to identify the online teaching and learning methods for Islamic Education subjects in Maahad Hafiz School, Klang. This study also examines the teachers' perspectives on online teaching and learning methods (P&P) on Islamic Education subjects and analyzes its effectiveness. This descriptive study will be using both qualitative and quantitative data. Library method is used to analyze documents such as reports and circulars from the MOE. Semi-structured interviews are also used in this study on two selected teachers. The quantitative data is obtained using a questionnaire method on 12 teachers at Sekolah Maahad Hafiz, Klang. The data of this study are analyzed using frequency, percentage, and mean methods by statistical testing using Statistical Package For The Social Science (SPSS) version 22.0. The result shows that all of the teachers prefer to use the Google Meet application in their teaching and learning process as compared to other applications. The study also found that the effectiveness of online teaching & learning is high with the mean of 3.99. Nevertheless, all of the teachers prefer the face-to-face method rather than the online method. The teachers also agreed that online teaching and learning must be made as a new platform in education even though there are many challenges for the teachers in applying this method such as the accessibility of the internet, students’ awareness in the classroom and teachers’ delivery in assuring the students’ comprehension.

This study also examines the teachers' perspectives on online teaching and learning methods (P&P) on Islamic Education subjects and analyzes its effectiveness. This descriptive study will be using both qualitative and quantitative data. Library method is used to analyze documents such as reports and circulars from the MOE. Semi-structured interviews are also used in this study on two selected teachers. The quantitative data is obtained using a questionnaire method on 12 teachers at Sekolah Maahad Hafiz, Klang. The data of this study are analyzed using frequency, percentage, and mean methods by statistical testing using Statistical Package For The Social Science (SPSS) version 22.0. The result shows that all of the teachers prefer to use the Google Meet application in their teaching and learning process as compared to other applications. The study also found that the effectiveness of online teaching & learning is high with the mean of 3.99. Nevertheless, all of the teachers prefer the face-to-face method rather than the online method. Prisoners of war (POWs) are the result of an armed conflict between two different parties. POWs are persons captured or being held by the enemy during a war, whether they are militaries or civilians. Therefore, prisoners of war must be treated appropriately as Islam recommends. However, the treatment to POWs through the movements in the name of al-Jihad today often portrays cruel and inhumane that convey a negative image of Islam. This is because such Jihadist movements do not follow the methods shown in Islam. Thus, Prophet Muhammad SAW has shown various methods of treating POWs through revelations (al-Quran and al-Hadith) that show Islam is not a religion that oppresses POWs. This article explains the Prophet Muhammad's principles and methods of dealing with POWs. This study applied the method of library research by emphasizing the method of content analysis as the main method of data collection as well as descriptive analysis inductively and deductively to provide guidelines for the application of treatments to POWs according to the method of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The results of the study concluded that the methods used were the prohibition of torturing or killing prisoners, good treatment, parole or not, the death penalty, beating prisoners, the treatment of female prisoners such as the prohibition of rape and permission to marry. In general, the concept of treatments of POWs in Islam, such as the right to medical treatment, humanitarian values and security guarantees, are strongly emphasized.

This study deals with the variant readings of Surat Al-Fatihah transmitted in two influential works of qiraat, namely al-Ibanah ‘an Ma’ani al-Qiraat by Imam Makki bin Abi Talib Al-Qaisi, and al-Nashr fi al-Qira’at al-‘Ashr by Imam Ibn al-Jazari along with several other books. The research aims to collect frequent and abnormal recitations related to Surat Al-Fatihah based on guidance from specific authors and review whether the various recitations affect the meaning of the Surah; as the meaning is complementary, not contradictory or not contradictory. Since many of the variant readings in the linguistic works and exegesis of the Quran were not attributed to any scholars, this paper will note these unattainable discussions. The importance of the research lies in some guidance in contemplating Surah Al-Fatihah. In this study, the researchers used the inductive method in collecting the recitations from its sources, then the descriptive-analytical way. Among the most important results of the study is Surat Al-Fatihah - with its various recitations - is full of meanings that should be followed and studied in deepening its contemplation.

Algeria witnessed a very critical time during the French colonial period, which prompted Ibn Badis, the one called as revivifier and reformer of his era, to look for solutions to the issues of his period. Ibn Badis resorted to the holy Qurʾān and designated his life to serve the book of Allah, interpreting and contemplating it, as well as extracting and deducing all regulations and provisions, applying them to his daily life. He also ensured proper installation of verses of the Qurʾān to act as a solution to various issues, including spreading the message of Allah and informing people about Him. This article introduces Ibn Badis and shines a light on how he implemented and used his understanding of Qurʾānic verses to solve his daily life issues, specifically his journey of advocating and guiding people towards getting to know Allah. The paper employed inductive and descriptive analysis to achieve this goal and concluded that Ibn Badis is a pioneer of reform and uplifted his society using Qurʾānic verses. He was greatly interested in the advocacy aspect (getting people to know Allah) of interpreting the Qurʾān verses, where he extracted the advocacy rules, etiquettes of the advocator and then implemented them in his everyday life.

The Tabi'in aware of the status of the hadith of the Prophet, and they knew its value, and they comprehended the texts ordering the transmission of knowledge, and they transmitted it to their successors in the best possible way. If we reflect on their books, it would be crystal clear that they have given their greatest effort in the pursuit of conserving hadith. Through it, they were able to memorize the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and to pass it on to the next generations in a soft way. The researcher followed the extrapolative approach of eliciting some of the most remarkable ways, efforts and means of the companions and their followers, and found that they were using almost the same steps as the communicators - God willing - in keeping and caring for the conversations. It was the same method that was used by the Companions in their memorization of hadiths and care for them, but it clarified and developed some of these approaches; They expanded on some means and methods, such as the journey in seeking hadith, opposition and comparison between narrations; According to the necessities of time and the surrounding circumstances, this is an increase in caution and caution, and such is the collection of the chains of transmission in one hadith due to its great importance in the balance of hadith criticism. And their agreement that a hadith is not taken into account unless its narrators are described as fair and precise, and they have mastered the writing and classification of hadith and others, and these efforts have resulted in preserving hadith and spreading it among the people.
