Automatic visual features weights obtention for Content-Based Image Retrieval Systems 基于内容的图像检索系统的自动视觉特征权重获取

In Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) Systems it is necessary to combine more than one visual descriptor in order to improve the retrieval performance. The most common descriptors are Color-Based, Shape-Based and Texture-Based descriptors. When more than one visual descriptor is linearly combined, some adequate weight must be assigned to each visual feature. The most common manner is setting the same weight value for each visual feature. The sum of these values must be equal to one. However, this process does not guarantee the optimum performance of the CBIR system. In order to guarantee the best performance, it is necessary to do several experimentations to find the optimum weight values combination. This is time consuming process and ambiguous, due to the weights values depends on the nature of the databases. In this paper we proposed a scheme which computes automatically the best weight combination and guarantees the optimum performance of the CBIR system.

A flexible mobile ticket for intelligent public transportation 智能公共交通的灵活移动票证

In the last ten years, wireless technologies and mobile devices are becoming more and more popular around the world; as a result, many mobile services have been created. Among these mobile services, mobile ticket is an emerging technology which can be used for intelligent public transportation. Although many mobile ticket schemes have been proposed, the expiration date and effective time are ignored. In this paper, we propose a flexible and practical mobile ticket scheme where the transport service provider embeds the expiration date in each mobile ticket during the withdrawal phase. The proposed scheme permits that each mobile ticket can be used more than one time if the mobile ticket is valid.

Study of dielectric parameters and the internal electric field prediction in an individual wheat grain particle 单粒小麦的介电参数及内部电场预测研究

The importance of dielectric parameters measurements of grain crops and insects is discussed in this work. The dielectric parameters behavior defines parameters such as external electric field and frequency that are necessary for grain disinfestation by radiofrequency and microwave. The beneficial frequencies are defined especially in a range 80-100MHz when the dielectric loss factor of insects exceeds 7 times that of wheat. A mathematical model is applied to one individual seed of grain of ellipsoidal shape. The calculations in MATLAB R2013a help to predict that less relative dielectric permittivity allows more energy absorption by the seed from the external electric field.

Embedded biometric cryptosystem based on finger vein patterns 基于手指静脉模式的嵌入式生物识别密码系统

Cryptosystems based on biometrics authentication is a developing area in the field of modern security systems. The present paper deals with the application of finger veins pattern as an approach for user authentication and encryption key generation. The design of the optical capture system by near infrared is described. We propose an algorithm for the location of the vein intersection points and the quantification of the angles between the vein-branches, this information is used to generate a personal key that allows the user to encrypt information after the authentication is approved. A testing of identity verification, after subject enrollment process is presented. In order to demonstrate the potential of the proposed approach, an example of image encryption is developed. All processes: biometric capture, image preprocessing, key generation and image encryption are performed on the same embedded platform adding an important portability and diminishing the execution time. The results show an accuracy of 96.1% for the authentication system.

Parameterized real operations based model for heart's valves with aortic stenosis 主动脉瓣狭窄的参数化实际手术模型

This work proposes a valve model that uses cardiac cycle phases and the flow control in order to model a closer representation of their operation based on its shape and values of the blood flow through the valve to study some dysfunctions such as aortic stenosis and how these affect cardiovascular dynamics. This dynamic model uses the 3 phases of a real valve operation; quick opening, slow closing, and quick closing, the shape for each phase is possible to simulate different slopes in the systolic and diastolic stages, and phase timing is coupled to the heart rate. Additionally one can use parameters to represent different hearts sizes. The valve model was implemented in VHDL-AMS for the electrical analog circuit replacing diodes. To simulate dynamic blood flow, the model was implemented in VENSIM, which allow for generation of blood flow velocity profiles and volumes. The simulation results present values in the reference ranges for a normal performance of the heart. This model will be helpful for independent valve's parameters change, so that each heart valves can be represented, also giving medical personnel to simulate several conditions such as the aortic stenosis.

Path planning in unknown environment with kernel smoothing and reinforcement learning for multi-agent systems 基于核平滑和强化学习的多智能体系统未知环境路径规划

In unknown environment, path planning of multiagent systems is difficult. The popular methods for the path planning, such as reinforcement learning (RL), do not work for these two cases: unknown environment and multi-agent. In this paper, we use a special intelligent method, kernel smoothing, to estimate the unknown environment, and combine it with the reinforcement learning technique. The advantage of the combination of the reinforcement learning and the kernel smoothing technique is we do not need to repeat RL for the unvisited state. The path planning process has three stages: 1) the reinforcement learning is applied to generate the training samples; 2) the model is trained by the kernel smoothing method; 3) the trained model gives an approximate action to agents. Experiment results show the proposed algorithm can generate desired paths in the unknown environment for multiple agents.

Solving the multi-traffic signal-control problem for a class of continuous-time markov games 求解一类连续时间马尔可夫对策的多交通信号控制问题

The traffic signal control setting is the most important factor that impacts the road network efficiency. The problem consists on generate appropriate signal patterns by controlling the timing of the green/red light cycles at an intersection with the goal of optimally reduce congestion and the amount of time wasted stuck in traffic. This is a very complicated problem. This paper deals with the solution of the multi-traffic signal control problem for continuos-time Markov games under the expected average cost criterion. We consider three intersecting unidirectional roads that imply three possible traffic phases which alternate. This game describes a Poisson process where the cars leave the queue in the order they arrive. The optimization approach is applied to constant arrival flows λ and departure flows μ over short time periods (Δt) involved in our processes. A conflict appears when each signal controller tries to minimize its queue. The c??variable method is extended with a special restriction for continuous-time Markov chains to obtain the set of average optimal policies. The usefulness of the method is demonstrated empirically by an application example.

A new model for non-uniform transmission lines 非均匀输电线路的新模型

In this paper, a new multiconductor transmission line model for the simulation of electromagnetic transients, which takes into account non-uniform and frequency dependent electrical parameters, is presented. The proposed model is based on the method of characteristics and has the same mathematical form either for a single phase line or a multiconductor line. The results obtained using the proposed models are compared to results from the Numerical Laplace Transform (NLT) and the Alternative Transients Program (ATP).

Design and implementation of a DC motor control using Field Programmable Analog Arrays 使用现场可编程模拟阵列的直流电机控制的设计与实现

This work presents an implementation of a control algorithm for DC motors using a technology that is gaining popularity, known as Field Programmable Analog Array (FPAA). The mathematical model of the DC motor and control are scaled to adjust the permitted voltages for the FPAA. Simulations of the implementation of the control algorithm with analog circuits are carried out where the good performance of the closed loop system is verified. Real Time experimentation results also validate the proposed design and implementation of the control Algorithm.

Effect of doping method on the morphological and gas sensing properties of Pt:SnO2 pellets 掺杂方法对Pt:SnO2微球形貌及气敏性能的影响

Platinum doped tin oxide (SnO2: Pt) powders were obtained by employing novel methods, which are a mixture of chemical and physical synthesis methods. The powders were prepared from tin chloride and urea as precipitant agent. The resultant SnO2 powders are milled in a planetary ball mill. Finally, a noble metal, platinum (Pt), was added to the milled SnO2 powders via bulk and surface doping methods, and then pressed with a pressing machine to manufacture thin pellets. After several experimental trials, stable Pt: SnO2 pellets were formed. Later, silver contacts were manufactured on the pellets surface by the thermal evaporation technique. The effect of Pt adding methods on the morphological properties is presented in this work. The morphological study was developed by using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM) analysis. Additionally, the sensing properties of these pellets as a function of the gas concentration were measured in carbon monoxide (CO) atmosphere at different operation temperatures.
