The article is devoted to the grammatical aspect of English low colloquialisms in its translation into Russian, which have so far been marginalized both in linguistics and in translation theory. The research topic contributes to understanding the necessity of a more detailed study of grammatical aspect of English low colloquialisms in order to identify the most suitable methods of translation.

The article examines the main features of a literary text as an object of translation activity. We investigate the translation methods of realities in fiction. The analysis includes 3 translations of A. Christie's novel "Mysterious Affair at Styles" into Russian and German. Comparison of the original and the translations reveals different frequency and different success of the translation task.

The author of the given article points out the necessity of applying the methods of problem-oriented teaching and introducing problem tasks into the modern education program at the university. As a tool for realization of the given approach, the author proposes to use the theory of solving inventive problems (TRIZ), which contributes to the development of non-trivial creative thinking of students and the prevention of psychological inertia.The article gives examples of assignments developed on the base of methods of TRIZ-pedagogics and aimed at the formation of communicative competence of junior students of language universities.
