This article aims to discuss the interrelation and formation of narrative meanings between journalistic coverage and opinion polls made available by the press. Based on polls conducted by Datafolha, and compared to news from the Folha de Sao Paulo, this reflection problematizes the content of the reports with the topics from Datafolha in order to verify the convergence, or lack of, between the content of the materials and the results of the communication medium polls. In this text, we argue that there is a double production of presence in Christian heavy metal shows. The Devil, who is constituted as a presence, through materialities, at first secular, which, disinterested, act in the Christian metal. First, the presence of God, in the Word, taken as an actualization of the Divine in its material dimension, invoked to purge and banish the image of the devil situated in the individual form or in the form of the legions assigned to it. Second, through organized practices in the form of ministries in charge of the so-called spiritual battles. Making diabolic gifts present and then denying them is a crusade daily reaffirmed in the Christian metal. The text has as theoretical contribution the studies on production of presence of Hans Gumbrecht (2010–2015) and field research content on Christian heavy metal, and aims at contributing to delineate one of contemporary neopentecostal practices and to discuss the articulations between ministries created to combat the devil and the heavy metal music linked to the biblical discourse. This paper intends to understand the strategies used by telejournalism in order to explore the emotional character of television. Its starting point is a reflection by Ferres (1998), for whom the experience of television reception is predominantly influenced by the viewer’s emotions. In order to achieve its objective, the article tries to discover how the three most recurring characters in the telejournalistic narrative – victim, good guy, and villain (Coutinho, 2012) – are activated and built by the production instance to touch the audience. In relation to the theoretical reference, it uses contributions from Charaudeau (2009), Fechine (2008), and Wolton (1996) as well. The objects of analysis are reports from Jornal Nacional (Rede Globo), about the Samarco case, the biggest environmental disaster in Brazil. It concludes that the program emphasizes the role of victims, intending to touch and involve the viewers, and denies attention to fundamental aspects of the news. Este artigo tem o objetivo de problematizar a apropriacao da Analise de Discurso (AD) para estudar discurso(s) de coletivos midiativistas, surgidos a partir das possibilidades das Tecnologias da Informacao e Comunicacao (TICs), que tem uma forte atuacao nas redes sociais digitais e pautam suas acoes pelo ativismo social. A metodologia utilizada para realizar o estudo e a pesquisa bibliografica de natureza exploratoria (Gil, 1989). A discussao sobre a AD tem como base o pensamento de autores como Fairclough (2001), Foucault (2008, 2015) e Maingueneau (2008, 2015), entre outros. A partir do dialogo com esses estudiosos, chega-se a ideia de que a AD e interdisciplinar, parte do pressuposto de que o discurso nao e inocente e esta diretamente relacionado com o contexto historico-social no qual ha o processo enunciativo. Entende-se, ainda, que e preciso congregar uma rede teorica que de base a analise, no caso em destaque, em especial teorias relativas ao midiativismo e a comunicacao nas redes digitais, possibilitada pela internet, realidade que afeta diretamente a producao discursiva na atualidade. Por fim, propoe-se um modelo de analise que se baseia na concepcao tridimensional de discurso formulada por Fairclough (2001), o qual relaciona texto, pratica discursiva e pratica social, no intuito de interpretar os significados de publicacoes oriundas de grupos midiativistas. Em junho de 2015, a atriz e modelo Viviany Beleboni realizou uma encenacao da crucificacao durante a Parada do Orgulho LGBT de Sao Paulo. A partir dessa situacao empirica, o artigo busca refletir acerca da circulacao midiatica do corpo travesti por meio das reconfiguracoes divergentes dos estatutos de sacralidade e profanidade. Entendendo a imagem de Viviany crucificada como uma imagem incendiaria, observamos como o acontecimento midiatico organiza os processos de circulacao da imagem originaria e das imagens ofertadas pelos atores sociais. E possivel observar duas dinâmicas distintas de interpretacao: um demarca a possibilidade de “fazer existir o que existe”, que comunga com a mensagem da “Cristo-travesti”, e a outra busca por “fazer inexistir o que existe”, interditando as formas de reconhecimento da precariedade das vidas das travestis brasileiras e das populacoes LGBTs. This article presents part of a qualitative exploratory approach research that aimed at understanding how the users of mobile communication devices manage, from everyday use, questions related to interactional practices. The sample consisted of 120 university students from six cities in the northeastern region of Brazil. In this text, we present the discussions about the categorical set entitled Perceptions of surveillance and control actions, composed of the categories: (i) surveillance and control over everyday life; (ii) surveillance and control of social presence; (iii) surveillance and control in relation to situations of physical proximity; and (iv) surveillance in relation to data control. The results indicate the existence and development of new social monitoring practices, facilitated by the presence of constraints and technical resources associated to the expansion of mobile communication, with direct and indirect consequences to the processes of social adjustment of individuals, with emphasis on the influence of social expectations arising from face-to-face communications in the negotiation of interactive practices mediated by mobile devices. O presente trabalho investiga a atuacao do BBC News Labs, laboratorio de inovacao em jornalismo da empresa homonima. Por meio de bibliografia sobre o conceito de media labs e sobre a digitalizacao da TV publica, busca-se compreender como a experimentacao realizada no laboratorio se relaciona com principios da TV publica, principalmente no que tange ao incentivo da concorrencia. Observou-se que os projetos do laboratorio podem ser conectados com um principio mais amplo de inovacao aberta no jornalismo, sendo o incentivo desse tipo de estrutura na comunicacao publica uma medida importante para o incentivo ao jornalismo de qualidade. This paper seeks to understand the representations of death present in the poetic narrative of the soap opera “Velho Chico” (Gshow, 2016), produced by Rede Globo. We start from the concepts of communication as an event, bonding and artifice, the last one based on the consciousness of mortality, phenomenon which distresses the human being and produces culture. Here, the soap opera is understood as a form of representation, interpretation, criticism and reconstruction phenomena of the world. The poetic aspects present in the representations of death in the soap opera Velho Chico, sensitively approach the mortality as a nature and culture phenomenon, aside from being the link between the narrative items and, more than this, the profound human link. This article started from a bigger study, whose research problem intends to investigate if, using the contextualization of classic film noir and what is called neonoir film, is possible to consider a modern noir approach. The hedonism was chosen as the cern of one of the typologies used for the analysis, considering its relevance to the study of genre, and it’s also intended, in this article, to demonstrate how the hedonism is worked in the classic film noir, backed by the figure of the femme fatale. Methodological strategies of film analysis were used, from Aumont and Marie (2004) and Vanoye and Goliot-Lete (1994), which permit to confirm that the femme fatale orientates the actions of the protagonist, valuing the hedonism since the classic period of the film noir.
