Colin Campbell states that the hedonism, in other words, the search for pleasure, is what drives not only consumption desires, but also the interpersonal relationships of modern individuals. On the other hand, Zygmunt Bauman claims that, in consumer society, the individuals’ conduct and relationships are influenced by market values inserted into everyday life activities. This paper presents a survey in which Tinder app users are interviewed in order to verify whether the propositions of both theorists apply to the way users perceive the app and relate to the other people who also use it. This paper analyzes the use of social networks, more specifically the fanpages of candidates for president in 2014, in order to identify which strategies were driven by politician actors. It is argued, therefore, how digital communication have being embedded in social life, in politics and in electoral’s struggles. For this, the article brings the debate on democracy and political participation (Dahl, 1997; Santos, 1993), the media interface and policy (Bourdieu, 1998; Gomes, 2004; Lima, 2006) and internet and elections (Aggio, 2011; Gomes, 2011; Recuero, 2009). To develop the analysis, the methodology is based on the work of Nucleo de Estudos em Arte, Midia e Politica (NEAMP), from PUC-SP (Cf. Bachini et al. , 2013), which is a mapping of the main key strategies and themes in candidates’ fanpages: Dilma Rousseff (PT) and Aecio Neves (PSDB), who dispute the runoff election, with a cut made in these medias between June and October 2014. Through a generic interpretation of the films Assault on Precinct 13 (John Carpenter, 1976) and Neighboring Sounds (O Som ao Redor, Kleber Mendonca Filho, 2012) according to the methodology proposed by Rick Altman (2011), the intention of this study is to analyse how these films re-signify the western. The comparative analysis aims to demonstrate that the differences on the institutionalization of the law in the United States and in Brazil play an important role in the gender aspects of the films. This article aims to explore Gus Van Sant’s film My Own Private Idaho (1991) starting from different approaches on the perception of the fragmentation of contemporary cultural identity from the perspective of cultural studies. We use especially the propositions from the authors Stuart Hall and Tomaz Tadeu da Silva in order to understand how this fragmentation condition configured in the film and its characters. This thesis focuses on the relation between the environment and the concepts of growth and development in economic journalism. To do so, the newspaper Valor Economico was chosen due to its position as the Brazilian main economic publication and the energy issues was selected as focus of analysis. Authors as Leff, Latouche and Georgescu- Roegen are used to give an overview of ecological thought linked to the economy. The concepts of development and growth are examined through the theories of Giddens, Sen and Furtado. The considerations of Berger and Luckmann and Park are employed in order to explain that this work considers journalism as a form of knowledge and construction of reality. There are also references to the theories of Foucault and Charaudeau about truth and journalistic discourse. On examination of the corpus, it was observed that the speech of Valor Economico is fundamentally linked to the idea of the need for economic growth. The environment, when it appears, occupies second place and there is no questioning about the current development model. Keywords: Journalism, Environment and Development.

This work promotes a reflection about the routine and the professional and personal values of nine journalists from Porto Alegre who began their careers between the years of 1940 and 1960. The concluding overview mainly shows that: the journalist could develop his activities more freely in the past; technological advances, on the one hand, facilitated the processes of information capture, but, on the other, decreased the journalist’s presence in the places where the events unfold; the press was organized into sections and editors who contributed to the routinization of the profession; the oldest reporters went through more challenging training processes with less education to carry out the tasks; and finally, this generation lived a more romantic atmosphere of the profession. This paper proposes a discussion about the political experience mediated by social media online from the Newspapers of June 2013 in Brazil. It works with the hypothesis that the demonstrations triggered during this period indicate the emergency of a new political experience, especially for a crowd encouraged by relations established in social networks on the internet. One of the main consequences of this new policy would be the shift in the importance of the traditional media. In order to analyze this scenario as an empirical research, the text observes the action of the Movement Free Pass, a social non-profit organization, and of TV Globo, the TV station with the largest audience in the area of events, according to IBOPE. Indeed, we observe the strengthening of the bargaining power of social movements, notably due to the spread of their causes and struggles, especially due to the exponential growth of their convening power. Ultimately, it is likely that a mutation of meanings, a shift in forms of communication, and, as a result, in the ways of doing politics, are ongoing. Esse estudo tem como objetivo analisar o atual panorama da economia criativa no Brasil, com foco na industria cinematografica nacional. Assim, busca-se compreender como o setor se comporta no Brasil, seu historico e filmes brasileiros como potenciais enquanto produto economico. Para realizar a referida analise, o trabalho verificou a bibliografia disponivel sobre o tema e os dados estatisticos gerados pelas instituicoes envolvidas com o setor da economia criativa e industria cinematografica brasileira. Este trabalho e uma tentativa de refletir sobre o comportamento do setor e apontar alguns caminhos que a industria possa seguir.
