There are many methods of simulating a crowd of people, each with its advantages and disadvantages. The increasing number of risk situations in big cities, such as fires or terrorist attacks, made it important to study the behavior of individuals in this type of situation. The purpose of this work is to develop a mathematical-computational model to simulate crowds in fire situations in order to establish relationships between different variables found in those scenarios. This work uses the instinctive concept of crowds in situations with high levels of stress to configure the interactions between people and the environment in a dynamic multiagent system, where each individual presents different cognitive and motor capacities, so that the safety of a closed environment can be diagnosed quicker than the current methods, as well as establishing relation between the fire stage, number of people and the percentage of survivors of the group, and

The electroencephalogram (EEG) is a medical examination that aims to record the individual's brain activity for further analysis. Several applications are currently emerging for the same, and a major factor for any application is finding patterns and groups in the signals and relating them to the actions. Currently, there are several classifiers used for this, and these classifiers are applied directly to EEG signals. However, another theme uses Mapping Features methods in signal processing and then performs the classification on the resulting signals for better results.

A large number of accidents and injuries caused by the presence of fatigue on people has caused a concern about this, more attention has been taken in recent years. Studying and developing techniques capable of detecting fatigue in a user has become possible thanks to the continuous evolution of technology and computer vision. Image processing has become a strong tool because does not interfere the driving of the vehicle, however, there are interferences that make difficult the analysis of the driver through the computer vision, these interferences are difficult to control because they involve the luminosity of the environment, cost of computational power of the tool and unnecessary objects in the environment. computer vision techniques were used: Template Matching, Hough Transfor and Landmarks, Python language with the help of the OpenCV library and use of low cost hardware such as Raspberry. The results were satisfactory and show that the combination of techniques and controlled light makes it possible to detect fatigue and alert the driver with great accuracy.

Brazil has the fifth highest death toll in the planet. Generally accidents are caused by human failure, involving inattention and disrespect to the law. In order to help the driver to act in a preventive and responsible manner, computer systems can establish ways to issue alerts when recognizing situations of risk to the safety in the traffic. The challenge of this work was to perform the detection and recognition of some traffic signals considered necessary for road safety. This work aimed at the development of an embedded system of assistance to the driver based on computer vision and machine learning. The function of the system is to recognize dangerous situations and alert the driver to the signals found on the tracks (maximum permissible speed, stop, preference and bearing tracks). We used a Raspberry Pi 3 and a camera of 5 megapixels to be the embedded hardware. The work aimed the development of algorithms that perform the task of assisting human perception in guiding vehicles, with execution in low-processing hardware in real time.

This work presents an analysis of different processor cooling methods used today, as well as a comparison of efficiency among some test cases using the three main cooling methods: Air Cooling, Water Cooling and Oil Cooling. Although the water-cooled systems is indicated as high efficiency the experiments carried out in this work, using air-cooling were the ones that presented the best results, in fact, as well as being the lowest cost implementation method.

In the case of primary commodities, price volatility would arise mainly due to disturbances in supply, whereas for industrial raw materials, it would be the result of disturbances in demand. In the analysis of commodity markets can be seen that information, hedging, speculation and physical availability are factors that can influence their volatility. Moreover, increased volatility in commodity markets can justify the use of information-based processes for modeling the pattern of return volatility of these commodities. Since the relevance of autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (ARCH) family models in the solution of problems in economic and financial areas due to their applicability and interpretation (the relation between return and volatility) have been provided, the aim of this work was to compare the Bayesian estimates for the parameters of ARCH processes with normal and Student’s t distributions for the conditional distribution of the return series of coffee beans price. In addition, informative prior distributions were suggested and posterior summaries were obtained by Monte Carlo Markov Chain simulation methods. Results showed that the proposed Bayesian approach provides satisfactory estimates and that the ARCH process with Student’s t distribution adjusts better to the data.

ABSTRACT – Machine learning is a concept that has been a part of the day-to-day life, being used in applications like social networks, e-commerce, smartphone assistants, among others. In the music area it can be used to inspire composers, produce music based on a specific style or generate music in real time for games or VR applications. This article will evaluate the ability of a neural network to generate satisfactory results in the music area, using Magenta libraries, a toolkit for the use of machine learning in artistic applications. The songs are generated based on a dataset of Bach compositions and procedurally checked for plagiarism, comparing the obtained results to the dataset.

Currently the range of medical content available on the Web is very wide, mainly clinical cases that serve as the basis for studies and analyzes, however many of these data are without structures and originate from heterogeneous sources, making it difficult to search indexing and data analysis. Thus, this work proposes a metadata model to standardize such contents and serves as a basis for the use of conventional text mining techniques and PLN for their settlement, for future searches, recoveries and maintenance with higher quality.
