ABSTRACT Literary works is one form of art in which language is used as a medium, one of them is poetry. Language in poetry is free and solid regarding the licencia poetica, yet it still contains various aspects of life as the poet’s idea. In order to convey his ideas, the poet uses diction on poetry. The usage of dictions on poetry are able to reveal many things, for example, a city. The description of a city through diction within literary works are often depicted through Indonesian poetry. One of those poetry collections which potray a city through diction usage is Sarinah Poetry Collection by Esha Tegar Putra. This research present the usage of dictions within Sarinah Poetry Collection by Esha Tegar Putra. The problems being discussed are (1) how does the diction interpret a city within the Sarinah Poetry Collection by Esha Tegar Putra (2) how is the relation between the diction and other poetry elements contain in Sarinah Poetry Collection by Esha Tegar and (3) how does the meaning contained within Sarinah Poetry Collection by Esha Tegar Putra related to the diction which intepreted city. The approach used in this research is stylictica with qualitative method. The data were obtained from fifteen poems written in Sarinah Poetry Collection by Esha Tegar Putra. The result of this study showed that within this Sarinah Poetry Collection are carried diction in form of nouns, verbs, dictions with connotative and dennotative meaning, and diction in form of basic words also words that have undergone morphological processes. The usage of the diction based on the word type and the meaning type is aiming more valid interpretation about city, such as name of the places and facilities provided in the city. Based on the form, the usage of the diction within Sarinah Poetry Collection is working as the element to strengthen the atmosphere withi the poems. the diction contained in this poem are related to other poetry elements such as tone, imagery and figure of speech, so that they could bring a whole unity meaning of the poem. The diction being used by the poet is functioning to reinforce the meaning and the atmosphere, so that the depiction about a trip, traffic jam, bustle, poverty, environmental matters and injustice that represent a city is clearly present. Bahan ajar sastra yang dipilih oleh guru harus menyajikan berbagai nilai yang bisa diaplikasikan siswa dalam kehidupan nyata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan wujud konflik batin yang mengandung nilai-nilai kehidupan novel Ada Surga di Rumahmu karya Oka Aurora. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel berjudul “Ada Surga di Rumahmu” karya Oka Aurora. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teori psikopragmatik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa wujud konflik batin dalam novel Ada Surga di Rumahmu karya Oka Aurora antara lain pertentangan antara pilihan yang tidak sesuai dengan keinginan, kebimbangan dalam menghadapi permasalahan, serta harapan tidak sesuai dengan kenyataan. Kesesuaian konflik batin yang mengandung nilai-nilai kehidupan dalam novel Ada Surga di Rumahmu karya Oka Aurora dapat dilihat dari aspek psikologi. Rekomendasi dari hasil penelitian diharapkan penyajian bahan ajar pembelajaran sastra di SMA senantiasa diperbaiki, diperbarui dan dimutakhirkan sesuai kebutuhan dan standar yang telah ditentukan. ABSTRAK Realitas sosial tidak hanya terjadi di dunia nyata, tetapi juga tergambar dalam karya sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui realitas sosial dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori dan mengetahui pandangan dunia pengarang dalam novel mengenai realitas sosial yang dikaji melalui analisis strukturalisme genetik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode dialektik dari Lucien Goldmann. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan realitas sosial dalam novel melalui hubungan antartokoh dalam novel serta hubungan tokoh dengan objek yang ada di sekitarnya. Selain itu, terdapat fakta yang berkait dengan realitas sosial dalam novel. Pandangan dunia yang ditemukan dalam novel tersebut yaitu, pengarang menentang keotoriteran rezim Orde Baru yang sewenang-wenang, mengecam penghilangan paksa dan mendukung HAM, serta mengkritik pemerintah yang lambat dalam menyelesaikan kasus hilangnya aktivis. Chudori and find out the world view of the author in the novel regarding the social reality studied through analysis of genetic structuralism. This study uses a qualitative approach with the dialectical method of Lucien Goldmann. From the results of the study, found social reality in the novel through interpersonal relationships in the novel and the relationship of characters to the objects around them. In addition, there are facts that relate to social reality in the novel. The world view found in the novel, namely, the author opposed the arbitrary authorization of the New Order regime, condemned enforced disappearances and supported human rights, and criticized the government which was slow in resolving cases of activist disappearances. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah, 1) mendeskripsi bentuk pelanggaran tindak pengancaman muka positif, 2) mendeskripsi tindak pengancaman muka negatif pada tuturan teks media sosial berdasarkan teori Brown dan Levinson, 3) mendeskripsi strategi kesantunan dalam tuturan pada teks media sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tuturan teks media sosial facebook dan twitter tahun 2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik catat. Tindak pengancaman muka positif pada teks media sosial facebook terdapat tiga subbidal, yaitu 1) ungkapan ketidaksetujuan, 2) ungkapan emosi, 3) ungkapan yang tidak sopan. Tindak pengancaman muka negatif pada teks media sosial facebook terdapat dua subbidal, yaitu 1) ungkapan peringatan, dan 2) ungkapan perasaan negatif. Tindak pengancaman muka positif pada teks media sosial twitter terdapat lima subbidal, 1) ungkapan ketidaksetujuan, 2) ungkapan emosi, 3) ungkapan yang tidak sopan, 4) ungkapan yang tidak kooperatif, dan 5) ungkapan yang menunjukan sebutan 2 data. Masyarakat Jawa merupakan masyarakat yang berlapis dengan penandaan golongan melalui suatu cara hidup. Masyarakat Jawa memiliki tatanan sosial yang mengatur anggotanya untuk senantiasa dijadikan pedoman dan tidak diabaikan sehingga melekat dalam pribadi sebagai identitas. Tatanan nilai sosial dapat diungkapkan melalui berbagai hal, salah satunya melalui karya sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap tatanan sosial masyarakat Jawa dalam puisi Bolong karya Joko Pinurbo. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tatanan nilai sosial yakni Urip ora ngoyo, nrimo ing pandom, Ngajeni wong tua, dan ana catur mungkur yang bersumber dari puisi Bolong . Javanese society is a society that is layered with the designation of groups through a way of life. Javanese society has a social order that regulates its members to always be used as a guideline and not neglected so that it is inherent in the person as identity. The order of social values can be expressed through various things, one of which is through literature. This study aims to reveal the social fabric of Javanese society in Bolong poetry by Joko Pinurbo. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. The data in this study are social value structures, namely Urip ora ngoyo, nrimo ing pandom, Ngajeni wong tua, and chess games which are derived from Bolong poetry.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan refleksi diri tokoh dalam novel Pesentren Impian karya Asma Nadia yang dikaitkan dengan motivasi diri serta pemenuhan hiarki kebutuhan Abraham Maslow. Metode yang dipakai adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa teks dalam novel Pesantren Impian karya Asma Nadia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membaca sumber data. Kemudian pengklasifikasian data, data dipisahkan berdasarkan permasalahan dan tujuan penelitian. Data yang sudah diinterpretasikan selanjutnya di eksplanasi dalam bentuk paparan bahasa sebagai suatu hasil sebuah analisis. Hasil dari peneitian ini adalah paparan mengenai pemenuhan hirarki kebutuhan tokoh, motivasi tokoh, dan karakteristik tokoh setelah merefleksi diri. Hierarki kebutuhan yang terpenuhi dalam novel Pesantren Impian karya Asma Nadia meliputi kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan rasa aman, kebutuhan rasa dimiliki dan memiliki, kebutuhan harga diri dan aktualisasi diri. Sedangkan motivasi tokoh untuk merefleksi diri merupakan dorongan/keinginan tokoh untuk mendapatkan sesuatu, dalam hal ini adalah kehidupan yang lebih baik di masa mendatang. Tokoh yang merefleksi diri menunjukkan karakteristik yang berbeda-bedamulai dari perubahan penampilan sampai pada psikologis tokoh. This study aims to describe the self-reflection of the character in the novel Pesentren Impian by Asma Nadia which is associated with self-motivation and the fulfillment of the needs of Abraham Maslow. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collected in the form of a text in the novel Pesantren Impian by Asma Nadia. Data collection is done by reading data sources. Then classifying the data, the data are separated based on problems and research objectives. The data that has been interpreted is then explained in the form of language exposure as a result of an analysis. The results of this research are exposure to the fulfillment of the hierarchy of character needs, character motivation, and character characteristics after self-reflection. The hierarchy of needs fulfilled in the novel Pesantren Impian by Asma Nadia includes physiological needs, security needs, sense of belonging and belonging, self-esteem needs and self-actualization. While the motivation of the character to reflect on himself is the drive / desire of the character to get something, in this case is a better life in the future. People who reflect themselves show different characteristics ranging from changes in appearance to psychological character.

Penelitian ini membahas variasi bahasa Jawa di Kabupaten Cilacap pada tataran fonologi dan leksikon. Titik pengamatan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 4 yang merupakan daerah-daerah yang berbatasan dengan Kabupaten Pangandaran, Jawa Barat, yaitu Desa Kedungreja, Kecamatan Kedungreja dan Desa Tambakreja, Kecamatan Kedungreja serta Desa Purwodadi dan Desa Rawaapu, Kecamatan Patimuan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pupuan lapangan danmetode cakap. Data-data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode padan fonetis artikulatoris dan teknik pilah unsur penentu (teknik PUP) dengan teknik lanjutan yaitu teknik HBB dan teknik HBS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan variasi bahasa Jawa Cilacap (BJC) berupa variasi fonologi dan leksikon. Variasi fonologi meliputi variasi bunyi vokal dan konsonan serta korespondensi bunyi vokal dan konsonan. Variasi leksikon meliputi gejalaonomasiologis dan semasiologis. Data variasi fonologi dan leksikon tersebut selanjutnya disajikan dalam peta bahasa. Faktor-faktor geografis wilayah menjadi akibat munculnya variasi bahasa Jawa di Kabupaten Cilacap, khususnya di wilayah perbatasan Jawa-Sunda. The result of this research is was to knowthe phenomenon of conflict disclosures contained in the novel and then corelating with the real life of society. The corelation between conflict in the novel with real life can be seen from the equation of the conflict contained in the novel Re: by Maman Suherman and in the real life is able to be found from similarity of conflictwhich is existed in the novel and existed in the real life.The approach in this study is the psychology of literature Karen Horney, Results froms this study is the disclosure of conflict present in the novel then correlated with in real life. Naskah drama Obrog Owok-owok Ebreg Ewek-ewek karya Danarto dipilih untuk dikaji karena di dalam naskah drama ini terdapat berbagai masalah sosial yang kemudian memunculkan kritik. Kritik-kritik yang terdapat dalam naskah drama tersebut perlu dikaji dan disampaikan ke publik. Naskah drama ini juga memiliki keunikan. Dialog yang sama diucapkan dua atau tiga tokoh berurutan bahkan hampir bersamaan, namun tidak dalam satu ruang dan waktu. Naskah drama ini seolah-olah mencoba untuk menyatukan dimensi ruang dan waktu. Naskah drama ini adalah naskah dengan struktur yang tidak dapat dikatakan sederhana, meskipun secara umum termasuk dalam naskah realis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kritik sosial yang terdapat dalam naskah drama dan mendeskripsikan wujud ekspresi kritik sosial tersebut membangun estetika drama dalam naskah Obrog Owok-owok Ebreg Ewek-ewek karya Danarto. The play script of Obrog Owok-owok Ebreg Ewek-ewek by Danarto is chosen to be studied because in this play script there are various social problems which then generate criticism. The criticisms contained in this play script need to be reviewed and submitted to the public. This play script also has uniqueness in the dialogue. The same dialogue is spoken by two or three characters in sequence even almost simultaneously, but not in the same place and time. It looks as if trying to unify the dimensions of space and time. This play script is a text with a structure that cannot be said to be ordinary, although it is generally classified as realist script. Furthermore, in this drama script there are various social problems which then led to criticism. The purpose of this study is to describe the social criticism contained in the play script and describes form expression of social criticism build the aesthetic of drama in Obrog Owok-owok Ebreg Ewek-ewek by Danarto.
