Students are expected to have high prosocial behavior. However, the fact shows that most of theirs are still low indicated by being less sensitive to friend’s conditions, being unsympathetic, having a low sense of charity, dishonesty, disrespecting others’ rights and welfare. Thus, this study attempted to examine the effectiveness of classical guidance with reinforcement technique, cooperative play technique, and the combination of reinforcement and cooperative play techniques to promote students’ prosocial behavior. Non-Equivalent Control Group Design was employed by involving 47 Junior High School students in grades VII, VIII, and IX. Once the analysis has been conducted, the Wilcoxon test showed that the classical guidance with both techniques were effective to promote prosocial behavior, namely reinforcement technique gained (Z = -3,25, p <0, 05), and cooperative play technique gained (Z = -2,27, p <0, 05). In the same way, the combination of those techniques was effective to promote students’ prosocial behavior by having the results of (Z = -3.40, p <0.05). To discover any differences in the effectiveness, the researchers used Kruskal Wallis test. This test revealed that the difference between the three techniques was v (x² = 7.67, p <0.05). These findings are expected to provide input for counselors by providing classical guidance services with reinforcement and cooperative play techniques to promote prosocial behavior.

Career adaptability is an individual’s readiness which develops over time from the age of children, adolescents, to adults and functions to overcome predictable tasks and participate directly in the work environment and roles. Low adaptability of careers can cause individuals to have difficulty in preparing for their future careers. This study aimed to determine whether career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) group counseling effectively improves students’ career adaptability. It was an experimental study that used a randomized pretest-posttest control group design by selecting 18 of 360 students as the subjects of this study and dividing them into 2 groups, namely experimental and control groups. In analyzing the data, this study used Mixed MANOVA. Findings confirmed that career decision self-efficacy group counseling was effective in improving students’ career adaptability (F (1.16) = 1401.74, p < 0.01. This effectiveness could also be seen in the effect of time (F (2,32) = 462.18, p < 0.01), and the effect of the interaction between time and group (F (2,32) = 443.38, p < 0.01). Finally, the current study confirms that to improve students’ career adaptability, counselors or guidance and counseling teachers can apply CDSE to group counseling services.

Prosocial development is strongly related to various positive development for students, including academic success, personal achievement, positive relationship with others, and higher social competence. However, some adolescents remain doing antisocial behavior. Thus, this study attempted to examine the effectiveness of a group guidance service with cinematherapy, role playing, and the combination of cinematherapy and role-playing techniques to improve the prosocial behavior of Vocational High School (SMK) students. To do so, it used an experimental design of Randomized Pretest-Posttest Comparison Group by involving 30 students divided into three groups with 10 students in each. Based on Wilcoxon test results, the guidance group with both cinematherapy and role-playing techniques was effective to improve prosocial behavior indicated by the results of (Z=2.81, p<0.05) for cinematherapy, and (Z=2.81, p<0.05) for role playing. In the same way, the combination of both techniques was effective to improve prosocial behavior by gaining (Z=2.81, p<0.05). Additionally, the results of Kruskal Wallis test showed no significant difference in the level of effectiveness of the group with cinematherapy, role playing, and the combination of both techniques, namely (x2=0.23, p>0.05). These findings are expected to encourage counselors to conduct group guidance with cinematherapy and role-playing techniques to improve prosocial behavior.

Career planning is a process that needs to be prepared to achieve career goals. However, since many students have not been able to determine their goals, they often fail in making career decision and planning. Thus, the current study was done to describe Senior High School students’ needs for a blended learning-based career information service model. It was conducted by having a qualitative survey design with Focused Group Discussion (FGD) method participated by 10 Guidance and Counseling teachers through MGBK or Guidance and Counseling Teacher Forum in Demak Regency and career planning scale distributed to 150 students to obtain the descriptive data. After the analysis, it was found that student’s career planning ability is categorized low and counselors experience some difficulties in sharing career information, particularly in terms of available time and method. In this way, career information content developers are suggested to provide digital content of career information so that students can access it outside school hours.

High anxiety level which can disrupt students’ concentration and reduce their memory performance results in less focus, confusion, and less optimal learning in terms of comprehending subject materials. Thus, this study attempted to analyze the effects of self-compassion and Islamic spiritual orientation on academic anxiety. It involved students from four public schools in Semarang as population. Further, they were sampled using cluster random sampling technique and resulted 350 students. After some analyses were carried out, it was known that there was a negative and significant effect of self-compassion and Islamic spiritual orientation on students’ academic anxiety, while self-compassion and Islamic spiritual orientation on academic anxiety reduction can be understood through changes in positive self-perception.

One of the measures to accommodate the learning needs of slow learner students is as a form of support for the inclusion paradigm in schools. Learning that is attempted by the teacher is an effort to condition slow learner students according to their learning needs. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy counseling to increase the Self Esteem of Slow Learner Children in Inclusion Schools SMP Negeri 15 Cirebon. . To achieve such objective, the study used single subject design with the pattern of multiple baseline across individuals done in eleven sessions of observation, namely 3 baseline A1 sessions, 5 times intervention session, and 3 baseline A2 sessions. For more, the subjects of this study were two indicated experiencing self esteem. In this state, behavior target was reduced from self esteem behavior. Meanwhile, the data of the observed subjects were collected thorough direct observation method with Goal Attainment Scale guides. Further, visual graph analyses were carried out to look for mean, the degree of level of performance, rapidity behavior change, the trend of performance, stability levels, and overlap data which were then followed by T score and z score calculations. The results showed that Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy counseling was able to increase self esteem. For further research, you can use a reversal design pattern so that it can be seen about the comparison of the two baseline conditions before and after the intervention so that the effect of consistent behavior change in the intervention phase can be revealed more deeply
