The effect of aerobic exercise along with resveratrol supplementation on myocardial AMPK and MAFbx gene expression of diabetic rats 有氧运动联合补充白藜芦醇对糖尿病大鼠心肌AMPK和MAFbx基因表达的影响

Background and Aim: Diabetes is a metabolic disease that is associated with heart injury. It has been shown that exercise training and resveratrol can improve the cardiac structure and function of diabetic subjects. The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of aerobic training along with resveratrol on gene expression of AMPK and MAFbx on myocardial AMPK and MAFbx gene expression of diabetic rats.Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 40 males Wistar rats were randomly were divided into 5 groups: control (CN), diabetes (DM), diabetes-Resveratrol (RDM), diabetes-aerobic exercise (TDM), diabetes-aerobic exercise-Resveratrol (RTDM).Training groups have performed a running program on the treadmill for 8 weeks. Resveratrol (20 mg/kg) was injected subcutaneously 8 weeks for RDM and TRDM groups. 48 hours after the last training session, rats were anesthetized. Changes in the expression of AMPK and MAFbx myocardial genes were quantified using real-time PCR methods.Results: The results of the present study showed a reduction in AMPK expression (P < 0.001) and an increase in MAFbx (P < 0.001) in cardiomyocytes in DM groups compared to CN group.AMPK expression was significantly increased in TRDM group compared to DM (p=0.009), RDM (p=0.011) and TDM (p=0.043) groups. MAFbx expression of cardiomyocytes in RDM (p=0.012), TDM (p<0.001) and TRDM (p<0.001) groups had significantly reduction compared to DM group. Also, MAFbx expression was significantly reduction in TRDM groups compared to RDM (p=0.041) groups.Conclusion: Long-term aerobic exercise, with and without resveratrol consumption it may cause to reduce the genomic indicators of atrophy and increase myocardial hypertrophy in diabetic rats.Key Words: AMPK; Diabetic Rats; Exercise; MAFbx; Resveratrol

Semen bacterial contamination: Antibiotics susceptibilitypattern and standard sperm parameters in men of Birjand,2017 精液细菌污染:英国男性抗生素敏感型及标准精子参数,2017

Background and Aim: Urinary tract infections can be one of the most important causes of infertility in men. Identification of semenbacterial contamination and using of appropriate antibiotic treatment can cause to improvement sperm parameters. The aim of thisstudy was to evaluate the frequency of bacterial contamination of semen and its effect on standard sperm parameters.Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study, the semen analysis of 40 men referring to Birjand laboratories wasperformed by using the CASA model spermogram device. The Eosin-Nigrosin staining was used to evaluate of sperm viability. Aftersemen samples were cultured on microbial culture media, bacterial contamination was assessed by using conventionalmicrobiological methods. The determination of antibiotic susceptibility of bacterial isolates was performed by the disk diffusionmethod.Results: In the present study, 30% of semen 12 samples were detected with bacterial contamination, the most frequent of which wasrelated to Escherichia coli (41.7%). Statistical analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between bacterialcontamination of semen and history of urinary tract infection (UTI) (P=0.001). There was a significant decrease in the motility,viability and sperm count in subjects with bacterial semen contamination (P<0.05). Nitrofurantoin, Gentamicin and third-generationof Cephalosporins were reported as the most effective treatment options for reducing bacterial contamination in semen.Conclusion: The bacterial contamination of semen can significantly reduce the motility, viability and sperm count. Due to the highprevalence of bacterial contamination in semen and its significant association with sperm factors, the microbial screening of infertilecouples without clinical symptoms is essential.Key Words: Antibiotic Resistance; Bacterial Contamination; Infertility; Semen fluid; Sperm

Effect of hydroalcoholic extract of Ferula assa-foetida L. resin on rheumatoid arthritis symptoms in the collagen-induced animal model 阿魏树脂水醇提取物对胶原诱导的类风湿性关节炎动物模型症状的影响

Background and Aim: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, autoimmune inflammatory disease that affects synovial tissue. According to potential side effects of current treatments, interest in using complementary and alternative medicine(CAM) has reappeared.The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of extract of Ferula assa-foetida L. resin on the severity of rheumatoid arthritis symptoms in the collagen induced animal model. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 30 female Wistar rats were randomly divided into 6 groups: healthy control, CIA, Dexamethasone receiving group to amount 1 mg/kg, receiving group to 100 mg/kg concentration of extract of asafoetida resin, receiving group to 300 mg/kg concentration of extract of asafoetida resin and receiving group to 100 mg/kg extract and dexamethasone (mixed group). Rheumatoid arthritis was induced by the administration of collagen type 2 and adjuvant. The clinical evaluation started and the severity of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, by examination and standard scoring was performed. Results: From the thirteenth day, Symptoms of the disease appeared and from the fourteenth day, there was a significant difference between the control and CIA groups in the clinical symptom score of arthritis. Among intervention groups, receiving group to 100 mg/kg concentration of extract earlier and more cause to decreased severity of symptoms. So on the 28th day, disease severity in the control group was 13.4 and in the treatment group with a concentration of 100 mg/kg extracts of Ferula assa-foetida L. resin was 9.6. Conclusion: Hydroalcoholic extract of asafoetida resin, its could reduce the severity of symptoms of ankle RA and in the dose of 100 mg/kg cause to mitigate the symptoms of apparent swelling and inflammation.

Evaluation of the Electro-Fenton efficiency in removal of Antibiotic Metronidazole from aqueous solutions 电fenton法去除水中抗生素甲硝唑的效果评价

Background and Aim: Metronidazole is one of the antibiotics that are widely used and resistant to biodegradation, it is one of the most important pollutants in the environment. The purpose of the study was to examine the efficacy of the Electro-Fenton process for removing metronidazole from synthetic wastewater using iron electrode under operating different conditions. Materials and Methods: The present study was an experimental, laboratory-scale study that was done discontinuously. The effect of soluble pH variables (11, 9, 7, 5, 3), initial concentration of metronidazole (10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 mg/ L), electrode spacing (0.5, 1, 2 and 3 cm), hydrogen peroxide concentration (50, 100, 150 and 200 mg/L) and current intensity (1, 0.5, 0.3, 0.2 and 0.05 A) with the mixing rate of 100 RPM at ambient temperature was investigated. The reaction kinetics was also studied. The antibiotic concentration was read by UV / Vis T80 + spectrophotometer at 320 nm wavelength. Results: The results showed that at optimum conditions (pH 7, 120 minutes, antibiotic concentration 20 mg / L, the hydrogen peroxide concentration 150 mg / L, inlet current intensity of 0.05 A and electrode spacing of 1 cm), The removal efficiency of metronidazole by Electro-Fenton process was 96.37%. Conclusion: According to the results, it was found that Electro-Fenton with iron electrodes can be used as an effective method in the removal of metronidazole from aqueous solutions.

Background and Aim: Urinary tract infections can be one of the most important causes of infertility in men. Identification of semen bacterial contamination and using of appropriate antibiotic treatment can cause to improvement sperm parameters. The aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of bacterial contamination of semen and its effect on standard sperm parameters. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study, the semen analysis of 40 men referring to Birjand laboratories was performed by using the CASA model spermogram device. The Eosin-Nigrosin staining was used to evaluate of sperm viability. After semen samples were cultured on microbial culture media, bacterial contamination was assessed by using conventional microbiological methods. The determination of antibiotic susceptibility of bacterial isolates was performed by the disk diffusion method. Results: In the present study, 30% of semen 12 samples were detected with bacterial contamination, the most frequent of which was related to Escherichia coli (41.7%). Statistical analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between bacterial contamination of semen and history of urinary tract infection (UTI) (P=0.001). There was a significant decrease in the motility, viability and sperm count in subjects with bacterial semen contamination (P<0.05). Nitrofurantoin, Gentamicin and third-generation of Cephalosporins were reported as the most effective treatment options for reducing bacterial contamination in semen. Conclusion: The bacterial contamination of semen can significantly reduce the motility, viability and sperm count. Due to the high prevalence of bacterial contamination in semen and its significant association with sperm factors, the microbial screening of infertile couples without clinical symptoms is essential.

Background and Aim: Anemia caused by iron deficiency, an important health issue is especially in teenager girls. Thepurpose of this study was, to determine the application of the Health Belief Model (HBM) constructs for theidentification of influential factors on iron supplementation consumption among 9 th-grade female students in Birjand.Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study was performed on 517 of 9th grade femalestudents. Students were selected by the randomized multistage sampling method. Data were collected through aresearcher-made questionnaire whose validity and reliability was confirmed. The questionnaire included demographicinformation, HBM structures, and knowledge questions. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient andregression model.Results: The results of the study showed that public knowledge was about iron supplementation consumption, 10.1%,42.6%, and 34.7%. Their attitudes are 1.4%, 52.6%, and 46%, and also their performance was 57.8%, 34.6% and 7.5%,respectively that were in poor, moderate and good levels, respectively. Iron supplementation consumption behaviorpredictors include: Self-efficacy (p = 0.196, P <0.001), practice guidelines (030/330 =, <0.001) and perceived severity(P < 0.046, β = 0.085). These structures predicted 32.4% (R = 0.324) of behavioral changes overall.Conclusion: Students' knowledge and attitude are moderate, and most 9th-grade female students do not take iron tablet,it is suggested that by conducting educational interventions and practice guidelines, perceived severity, and self-efficacyin students be strengthened.Key Words: Attitude; Health Belief Model; Iron; Knowledge; Supplementary; Students

Background and Aim: Adding salt to foods including bread along with improving its taste can cause problems such as high bloodpressure; therefore, considering the importance of the presence of salt in bread, the purpose of this study was to investigate theamount of bread salt in bakeries in South Khorasan province in 2014-2018.Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical and retrospective study was performed by random sampling method onbakeries in South Khorasan province in the period of 2014-2018. The measurement of the salt level was done according to thestandards of the Iranian Institute of Standards and Industrial Research. The data were analyzed by using variance analysis tests andTukey's post-hoc test.Results: 2577 loaves of bread were sent to the food laboratory of South Khorasan province during the years 2014-2018, which is thetotal average amount of salt In Lavash bread, it was equal to 1.63 ± 0.57 g, Taftoon was 1.51 ± 0.53 g, and in Sangag bread, it was1.42 ± 0.56 g. The mean results of salt levels in different years had significantly different (p <0.001).Conclusion: The amount of salt consumed was the highest in terms of changes in the average consumption of bread in 2016, whichseems to be due to the lack of awareness of bakers about changing the standard of salt in that year. In this regard, the adoption ofpreventive and regulatory programs by the Food and Drug Administration can be a guide.Key Words: Bakery; Bread; Salt; South Khorasan

Background and Aim: Adding salt to foods including bread along with improving its taste can cause problems such as high blood pressure; therefore, considering the importance of the presence of salt in bread, the purpose of this study was to investigate the amount of bread salt in bakeries in South Khorasan province in 2014-2018.Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical and retrospective study was performed by random sampling method on bakeries in South Khorasan province in the period of 2014-2018. The measurement of the salt level was done according to the standards of the Iranian Institute of Standards and Industrial Research. The data were analyzed by using variance analysis tests and Tukey's post-hoc test.Results: 2577 loaves of bread were sent to the food laboratory of South Khorasan province during the years 2014-2018, which is the total average amount of salt In Lavash bread, it was equal to 1.63 ± 0.57 g, Taftoon was 1.51 ± 0.53 g, and in Sangag bread, it was 1.42 ± 0.56 g. The mean of salt levels in years had significantly various (p <0.001).Conclusion: Our result showed that the amount of salt in bread was highest in 2016. It seems to be due to the lack of awareness of bakers about changing the standard of salt in that year. In this regard, the adoption of preventive and regulatory programs by the Food and Drug Administration can be a guide.Key Words: Bakery; Bread; Salt; South Khorasan
背景与目的:在包括面包在内的食物中添加盐以改善其味道可能会导致高血压等问题;因此,考虑到面包中盐的存在的重要性,本研究的目的是调查2014-2018年南呼罗珊省面包店面包盐的数量。材料与方法:采用描述性分析与回顾性研究相结合的随机抽样方法,于2014-2018年对南呼罗珊省的面包店进行研究。含盐量的测量是按照伊朗标准与工业研究所的标准进行的。采用方差分析检验和Tukey事后检验对数据进行分析。结果:2014-2018年共向呼罗南省食品实验室送出2577块面包,其中Lavash面包的平均含盐量为1.63±0.57 g, Taftoon面包为1.51±0.53 g, Sangag面包为1.42±0.56 g。年平均含盐量差异有统计学意义(p <0.001)。结论:我们的研究结果显示,2016年面包含盐量最高。这似乎是由于烘焙师对当年改变盐的标准缺乏认识。在这方面,食品和药物管理局采取的预防和监管计划可以提供指导。关键词:烘焙;面包;盐;南Khorasan
