The article describes the experience in teaching the course “Social and Speech Communication”. As the result of training the students are to master the arsenal of means for effective communication, the base of which turns out to be linguistic communication and its bearer that is the language personality, get knowledge about complex processes of information exchange, discover the psychological peculiarities of verbal and non-verbal communication, learn how to communicate for solving professional and personal problems. The skill of fluent mastering all kinds of speech activity, the skill of correct and intellectual communication in various spheres and structures, the skill of speech event linguistic analysis including from the point of view of their esthetical value represent the unity of systemic and individual approach in the sphere of humanitarian training for future architects, designers and managers.

Purpose. The article looks at the phenomenon of significant Other as an element of self-consciousness and its correlation with life satisfaction of elderly people. The author of the article draws special attention to the interrelation of life satisfaction and the Image of significant Other for elderly people which is of current interest in connection with the importance of developing co-existence relationships with the Others. Research Methods: theoretical study method; techniques of data processing, Fisher’s ratio test, Spearman rank correlation analysis. Results. Elderly people’s life satisfaction is connected with the Image of significant Other: for satisfied with their life elderly people – with self-respect, for dissatisfied – with self-confidence. Self-respect and self-confidence of the significant Other increases elderly people’s life satisfaction. Moreover, the vision of values of the Other (communication values, self-actualization, business) is a crucial parameter linked to elderly people’s life satisfaction. Results Application. The study findings can be used to develop courses on psychology of personality, developmental psychology, gerontopsychology, counseling and psychocorrection, the findings can be also useful for social service centers providing aid for the elderly.

The purpose of the study is to determine the content and technologies to improve the level of health and physical fitness of students by means of physical training. The main research method is a pedagogical experiment. The article describes the need for the implementation of innovative technologies in the educational process of students’ physical education. The author proposes a fitness technology of cardio strength training and implementation of the results that have confirmed its effectiveness. Specifically, a pedagogical experiment revealed that the students of the experimental group significantly were superior the control groups of students in terms of physical characteristics, level of physical health and anthropometric indicators of physical development.
