Toward Efficient Simulation Platform for Platoon Communication in Large Scale C-ITS Scenarios 面向大规模C-ITS场景的高效排通信仿真平台研究

With recent technological advances made in the field of vehicular communications, a plethora of applications has emerged that aim to improve driver safety and traffic fluidity. The platooning application is expected to be a good first step to tame autonomous driving, especially traffic congestion problems in big cities. In this context, it is important to study a platoon of vehicles in its environment, sharing the road and wireless channel with other road users. For such a scenario, efficient simulation tools come in handy for studying vehicular communications in large scale environments. This paper presents a step toward improving iTETRIS simulation platform to simulate platoon communications in large-scale connected vehicles use case. To this end, a restricted communication zone, centered around the leading vehicle of the platoon, and in which vehicles can receive and send packets is introduced to limit the computational cost of communication simulation. The merits of the improved platform in term of time execution efficiency compared to iTETRIS are shown through extensive simulation using real mobility traces.

Indoor Thermal Comfort Collection of People with Physical Disabilities 残障人士室内热舒适收集

Indoor thermal comfort monitoring is becoming a crucial research topic to improve not only the occupants' comfort but also the energy consumption, and thus the building sustainability. Existing works focus on real time thermal comfort assessment of people that are performing some activities and able to answer a questionnaire. However, few works deal with thermal comfort for people with physical disabilities which may have different thermal requirements from those without physical disability, due to the disability itself. Furthermore, the remote and constant monitoring amenities are not established yet, properly. To overcome this, Internet of Things (IoT) can be used, which would introduce more flexibility to monitor residential building of these population from anywhere. As a first step, we aim to provide remote availability of thermal comfort information from A.P.E.I buildings of Troyes city11A.P.E.I stands for Association des Parents d'Enfants Inadapts, is an association of parents of in-adapted children and people with physical disabilities., located in east of France, in order to enable remote monitoring and assessment of thermal comfort in these residential buildings. To do so, a complete IoT architecture is proposed. This architecture is based on sensor devices and permits to collect data, to be transferred and processed in the Cloud infrastructure for an adequate decision-making. Moreover, we optimize sensors deployment in addition to the data collection process while ensuring high data collection accuracy. Numerical results show the efficiency and the reliability of our schemes.

Cybersecurity education and training activities are essential to empower end users to take informed decisions and address cyber threats. An ongoing problem that still troubles the cybersecurity community is the selection of weak passwords. Users keep using weak passwords, cultivating the risk of compromisation. Users often choose passwords that appear to be strong. This creates a false sense of security as users have the belief that their passwords cannot be guessed. Unfortunately, given that attackers are aware of the users' habits, they often recover users' passwords. Therefore, it is imperative to educate people about the bad password construction strategies and empower them to select stronger passwords. Educational activities should be enhanced by integrating practical aspects that will assist the users to realize the problem. This work identifies and combines a range of bad password construction strategies and designs a relevant tool to practically demonstrate the strategies to the users.

Nowadays, social networks have been widely used by different people for different purposes in the world. The discovering of communities and clustering is a widespread subject in the space of social networks analysis. Many interesting solutions have been proposed in the literature, such as the algorithms of Newman and Girvan. However, most solutions have common problems: the stability and the community structures quality. In this paper, we give a state of the art, from 1970 until 2018 on the approaches as well as the algorithms of communities' detection in social networks. GiLAN Roaming: Roam Like at Home in a Multi-Provider NFV Environment GiLAN漫游:在多提供商NFV环境中像在家一样漫游

‘Roam Like at Home’ is a slogan used to express the new roaming regulation applied to the countries within the European Union. Since June 15th, 2017, mobile network subscribers of the network operators within the European Union can use mobile services in other European countries without having extra charges for it. Although almost all mobile subscribers within countries of the European Union benefits from the new roaming rule, many mobile service providers are yet to be adapted to this change. Therefore, those providers bear the burden of the cost for the inter-provider traffic. Moreover, the latency between subscribers and their operator specific content must be reduced in order to provide a roaming service ‘like at home’. An emerging virtualization technology such as a Network Function Virtualization (NFV) sheds light on these challenges. This paper describes the concept of the mobile roaming service and our on-going implementation work as a part of 5G-PPP 5GEx project which aims at localizing inter-provider mobile traffic within the virtualized network infrastructure.

A New Radio Wave Propagation Model Optimization Approach for Tehran City Based on Standard Model Tuning 基于标准模型调谐的德黑兰城市无线电波传播模型优化新方法

The main parameters of cellular network are the environment, frequency allocation and interference. Propagation models are used for calculating the path loss to predict the coverage area. The Aim of this paper is to propose a method for an existing cellular operator that has been launched into a new network and is in the phase of pre-optimization. We used the existing collected data to propose a model tuning for development and further pre-optimization of the current phase. The data is collected using TEMS software during pre-optimization drive test (single site and cluster optimization). In this method, we have eliminated the traditional CW measurement test for model tuning. In this paper, we have selected Standard Propagation Model (SPM) as a suitable model. This model is used by Atoll software, for predicting propagation losses at 2100 MHz frequency for Tehran city, the capital of Iran. Three different clutter types for the main subject in this study are named urban, suburban and open. For verification, the results were compared to MATLAB simulation which confirms the correction of the proposed method.

TCP Wave changes the typical TCP transmission paradigm by replacing the ACK-clocked sliding window with self-scheduled bursts. In response to bursts, unmodified TCP receivers generate ACK trains, which carry useful information about the end-to-end link characteristics. TCP Wave inspects ACK-train flow to measure the following parameters: (i) ACK train spread (namely ACK train dispersion) and (ii) RTT variations. The former is expected to provide the overall “service capacity”, meant as the maximum capacity allowed over the end-to-end path, while the latter is considered as a congestion indicator. The joint use of such measurements allows TCP Wave to fine-tune the transmission rate to accurately match current network resource availability in the bottleneck link. This paper analysis TCP Wave ACK train-based measurements on a broad set of simulated links compliant to characteristics of today's real networks. To this scope, a testbed with TCP Wave implementation on Linux OS is used to perform tests varying both bottleneck capacity and physical latency.

Achievable Rate of $N$-Continuous Precoded SIM-OFDM 可实现的速率$N$连续预编码SIM-OFDM

$N$-continuous (NC) precoder is a class of efficient sidelobe suppression techniques by smoothing the consecutive multicarrier symbols at the cost of additional interference to the transmit signals. In this paper, we firstly investigate the $N$-continuous precoder in recently developed Subcarrier-Index Modulation Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (SIM-OFDM) systems, when the channel is modeled by frequency-selective fading. On the one hand, the Signal to Interference Plus Noise Ratio (SINR) is derived through theoretical analysis. Furthermore, with the quantified SINR, the achievable rate is first acquired for evaluating the performance of NC precoded SIM-OFDM. We also show that the above-mentioned performance analysis matches well with the simulation results.

Towards Smart Networking through Context Aware Traffic Identification Kit (TriCK) in 5G 通过5G环境感知流量识别套件(TriCK)实现智能网络

In order to distribute diverse traffic flow into proper network interfaces, Access Network Discovery and Selection Function (ANDSF) is proposed by 3GPP, which can distribute every traffic flow to a preferred network interface according to several observed features from that flow. However, the static policies in ANDSF can neither understand the context nor adapt to real time changes. In order to address that problem, in our previous work, we have proposed a server-client based Context aware Traffic identification Kit (TriCK) to dynamically identify traffic, which can extend the functionalities of 3GPP ANDSF. It can classify traffic data not only based on its own characteristics, but also the real time network conditions and the current context. In this paper, we provide an implementation for the network selection component in TriCK based on clustering techniques, with a complexity of $O(n)$. A static version and a dynamic version of the implementation are analysed. The static approach is easy to implement and comprehend. The static solution can distribute the traffic flow according to the traffic characteristics and the network context. The dynamic approach can further balance the traffic load between different network interfaces and therefore provide an overall better transmission quality.
