Digital transformation has been gaining attention amongst organizations, especially in keeping up with the demands and changes posed by COVID-19 pandemic. However, the pandemic introduced challenges to organizations in the context of digital transformation and caused human resource management (HRM) to deal with such a challenging environment, impacting their practices and the workforce. The chapter intends to uncover the challenges of digital transformation following the COVID-19 crisis which is affecting the culture of one's organization. It also aims to provide insights of how HRM can play an important role in addressing these challenges. The result is promising. Digital transformation affected to HRM with challenging business processes within the organization. The study will be valuable for organizations to understand the issues surrounding digital transformation in Asia and comprehend the potential means of managing these issues, especially for the HRM, and it contributes to knowledge in the area of digital transformation, information technology, and innovation.

In the globalizing world, students can cross the boundaries and benefit from the education systems from other cultures. Management of the international students' acceptance processes are given under the responsibility of higher education institutions within the bounds of criteria determined by the Higher Education Council in Turkey. Therefore, selection process shows differences in each institution and the management of the process becomes difficult because of the increase in applications. Consequently, it has been an inevitable need to use digitalization and information systems to conduct this process correctly. In this chapter, digital transformation and integration in educational activities through the international student application process is discussed. This chapter involves different application methods used in universities and some enhanced processes. This chapter is to be a guide for effectively conducting the process of international student applications in universities using information technologies and how to perform integration with educational practices.

The regulations that emerged from the global financial crisis of 2008 and fines that were imposed afterwards triggered a wave of changes in how risk is managed. Innovative methods for risk management became more important as the standards for compliance and management tightened. Institutions also invested in strengthening their risk cultures and involved their boards more closely in key risk decisions. This chapter discusses major risk factors for financial institutions and the innovative solutions that they introduced to manage risk better. Innovative solutions in risk management are not limited to advances in technology such as machine learning and data mining, but also include new regulations, better monitoring, and stricter auditing. Financial institutions improved boards' oversight of risk, created new committees for risk assessment and monitoring. and developed new methodologies for risk management.

Innovation capacity is one of the essential elements that ensure sustainability of the organizations. Organizations need to be creative and innovative so as to put products and services to market by forecasting customer needs to get competitive advantage in a rapidly changing business environment. Businesses that are more pioneering in innovation will be more successful if they can respond to changing environmental conditions and develop new capabilities that will allow them to deliver better performance. Innovation helps businesses to reduce costs, improve performance, and create new products and services to increase their competitiveness. Scholars contend that the development and implementation of human resource management is critical to benefit such essential employee contributions.

This case study will analyze the critical success factors and key matters related to the deployment of BI deployment in different organizations. Different organizations have different approaches to making BI available for different business users, divisions, and departments. Data visualization is also one of the important factors which will provide user better reflection of data rather than make them confuse about organization data with too much information in the reports and dashboards. Data quality and diverse standards, which make BI famous in the different organizations, are also analyzed during the investigation of both organizations used in this case study. The case study analysis also shows how BI maturity, governance, and framework are key factors involved in the successful deployment of the BI in different organizations.
