This reflective case history introduces integrative development (ID) as an approach for evidence-based organizational change and development initiatives. ID brings adult development and organization development into a unified theory, and it aligns three human resource development disciplines (coaching, training, organization development) into a unified set of practices. The case history outlines how narrative coaching, an ID-based methodology, was used in creating a coaching culture in a professional services firm and offers principles and recommendations for EBOCD practitioners.

The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented global crisis affecting the worldwide socio-economy. Many SMEs have ceased operations due to various obstacles during the pandemic period. The chapter identifies challenges faced by SMEs, specifically in Malaysia. The chapter also proposes that having a sustainable business solution protects SMEs from experiencing a crisis by diluting the impact of the pandemic and the critical challenges related to the financial impact, supply chain disruption, changing customer behavior, and evolving business environment. Post-lockdown, SMEs must revisit, realign, and implement practical operating procedures to stay relevant. Moving forward, SMEs depend on reliable and proactive leadership in revamping some of their business strategies – strengthening financial position, supply chain management, digital transformation, and organizational agility. SMEs must be vigilant and operate within the sustainable business framework involving the environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Consequently, this will fulfill the United Nations' sustainable development goals.

Infrastructure plays a pivotal role in national development. However, financing infrastructure projects becomes a major hurdle as it is often considered unbankable, high risk, and requires a long payback period. The use of crowdfunding as an alternative source for infrastructure project financing is flourishing, especially in European and American countries. In contrast, the utilization of crowdfunding for such purposes in Asian countries is very limited. Hence, this study reviews four crowdfunding platforms in Europe and America that have successfully raised capital for infrastructure projects which are Oneplanetcrowd, Convergence Finance, Citizenergy, and Infrashares. Learning from best practices of those platforms, policies, and regulations, the study proposes four crowdfunding business models to be implemented in Asian countries including (1) blended finance, (2) cross-border citizen funding, (3) commercial infrastructure financing, and (4) within country crowdfunding.

This study is to reveal the challenges of millennials' preferences and criteria in booking a venue via an online platform. The main target users for this study are the millennials ranging in age from 18 – 40. The dependent variable for this study is user acceptance testing on Booktia. The independent variables for this study are content, navigation, multimedia, and usefulness. The result is very interesting. The finding concluded that user acceptance testing shows a positive relation towards the four independent variables with coefficient value for multimedia of 0.066, content of 0.055, navigation of 0.055, and usefulness of 0.060. All independent variables show a significant result between 0.000 to 0.005. Thus, the result shows the millennials are accepting features and usage of Booktia upon testing it. Implications were drawn in the study, such as the benefits this study will bring to the Booktia platform.

Narrative technology has been a prominent feature in educational value creation. Rapid penetration of internet and better digital infrastructure resulted in adoption of emerging technologies in education sector. As business of EdTech platforms soared up, the purpose of this research was to understand the impact of emerging technologies like big data analytics, cloud-based technologies, blockchain, machine learning, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality on various stages of EdTech value chain. This involved content creation, content distribution, and learning plus management system. A secondary data base case study analysis was carried out of EdTech firms in India. The value factors such as cost, accessibility, ease of use, and updated content came out as main attributes impacting acceptance of EdTech platforms. The mentioned emerging technologies impacted the content creation, delivery, evaluation, and feedback stages which resulted in improved performance across these value factors with lesser associated total costs.

Burnout is a kind of psychological withdrawal as a particular response to stress. As a costly coping mechanism, it can have adverse impacts on the motivation, performance, and personal wellbeing of special service providers. Ineffectiveness of direct and active problem-solving efforts gives rise to the burnout response. The professions dealing with high levels of stress, including healthcare, social work, police work, teaching, and customer services are regarded as the occupations most at risk of burnout. There is limited qualitative research and in particular grounded theory (GT) on a subjective definition of job burnout by employees. The present study is organized to contribute more qualitative studies to concentrate more on the application of GT approach in the field of occupational burnout. Since it examines current studies of occupational burnout that focused on GT, it is of particular value.

This chapter describes how Argentine teachers at the pre-school, primary, and secondary levels adapted to emergency distance education during the Preventive and Compulsory Social Isolation (ASPO) that was established in Argentina due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. From an exploitative-descriptive strategy, a non-probabilistic survey was carried out through an online questionnaire during June 2020, whose sample consisted of 411 cases. Among the results, it is highlighted that the teachers applied their knowledge and skills prior to the pandemic, but they also had to learn to use new resources to adapt to the educational conditions of the pandemic, which led to greater effort and difficulties for older teachers. In accordance with this, the predominance of joy and pride in the younger teachers indicates that they were more satisfied than the older ones. It is concluded that despite the fact that all teachers expressed having adapted, the older ones encountered greater difficulties and, consequently, had to resort to a greater diversity of adaptation strategies.
