Optimization of Spurious Response in Dielectric Resonator Tunable Filters 介质谐振腔可调谐滤波器杂散响应的优化

Methods of tunable filters spurious response improvement are described. Dielectric resonator based filters with ferrite elements suffer from spurious resonances located close to the useful passband. Optimization of the resonator structure as well as application of TEM resonators leads to significant improvement. Design methods and measured results are provided.

Digital System Interconnects Analysis using Model Order Reduction Methods 基于模型降阶法的数字系统互连分析

In this paper we study the accuracy and efficiency of digital system interconnects analysis using model order reduction (MOR) methods. The system is represented by its partial elements equivalent circuit (PEEC) and then reduced using ENOR, SMOR or SAPOR algorithm. As a result one obtains a compact input-output relation. Numerical examples confirm the efficiency and robustness of all model order reduction techniques.

Double-ridged Horn Antenna with Sinusoidal Ridge Profile 正弦脊型双脊喇叭天线

FDTD numerical study compared to the results of measurement is reported for double-ridged horn antenna with sinusoidal profile of the ridge. Different transitions from coaxial to double-ridged waveguide were considered on the preliminary step of the study. Next, a suitable configuration for feeding the ridges of antenna was chosen. The sinusoidal ridge taper is described in the next part of the paper. Finally, the simulations results of complete antenna are presented. Theoretical characteristics of reflection and antenna patterns are compared to the results of measurements showing acceptable accordance.

Label Processing and Node Implementation in Optical Packet Switching Networks 光分组交换网络中的标签处理与节点实现

In this paper we give an overview of a developed packet switching node. First the most important aspects of label multiplexing techniques in all-optical packet switched networks are discussed. Then we present an approach, which was chosen and implemented in this work. We show the main functionalities required in the node in detail, and present the experimental results of data transmission.

Design of an UWB Planar Monopole Antenna for Use in a Circular Cylindrical Microwave Imaging System 用于圆筒形微波成像系统的超宽带平面单极天线设计

The design of an ultra wideband planar monopole antenna for use in a circular cylindrical microwave imaging system is presented. The designed antenna is developed on a high dielectric substrate and its size is 13 mm by 26 mm. The measured 10-dB return loss bandwidth of this antenna element is from 3 GHz to more than 15 GHz. Its radiation efficiency is higher than 90% over the whole 10 dB return loss bandwidth.

Macromodeling of microwave structures based on noisy frequency-domain data 基于噪声频域数据的微波结构宏观建模

Frequency-domain macromodeling tools are of paramount importance for the design and study of microwave structures. In this paper, a reliable identification method, called orthormal vector fitting method, is combined with a relaxation constraint. This leads to more accurate fitting models, in a limited amount of computation time, especially if the spectral data is contaminated with noise. Its performance is analyzed on a measurement-based example and compared to other existing approaches in the field.

The paper deals with employing the resonant Rayleigh-Ritz method of measuring ε' and tgδε for the development of technology of various types of microwave dielectrics. The possibility of measuring ε' with uncertainties smaller than 0.2% allows to precisely design chemical composition of dielectrics as well as determine their functional properties which are important in terms of their application. The paper illustrates the capabilities of the method for three chosen types of dielectrics -composite with ε' ≅ 8; ceramic with ε' ≅ 10 as well as the one with ε' ≅ 37.

Radially-Three-Layer Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator for Permittivity Measurement 用于介电常数测量的径向三层圆柱形介电谐振器

The dispersion equation for complex frequencies of a radially-three-layer cylindrical dielectric resonator with perfect conductive end walls was obtained. The studying of influence of a middle layer, filled different substances, on a frequency and quality factor of resonator was carried out. Spectral and energy characteristics of a resonator with a whispering gallery oscillation were studied at different thickness of middle layer and its position along the radius. Different nature of behavior of an eigen frequency of resonator was obtained filling a middle layer by liquid with both small and large losses.

This article deals with the analysis of microwave structure of generalized transmission line. GTL equations for arbitrary orthogonal coordinate systems in matrix notation are the basic equations for efficient analysis algorithms based on the method of lines (MoL). To obtain the eigenmodes of the cylindrical microstrip waveguide it is assumed that wave propagation is in the longitudinal direction.

The paper describes a course on microwave engineering addressed to undergraduate students. It focuses on the technology of discrete RF and microwave circuit design. Presenting a whole range of problems from the transmission line theory to amplifier and generator design, the course is placing emphasis on the differences amongst the lower-frequency design methodologies (and architectures) and microwave ones. Special stress is put on the use of CAD software as an excellent aid in self-learning. Drawing students in to a survey of the technical periodicals may be regarded as a new initiative.
