Establishing communication between job candidates and companies has always been a priority for both sides. The Internet and Internet technologies brought significant changes in communication methods and expanded opportunities for both parties. From the company's point of view finding the adequate candidates is a demanding task. It needs to broadcast vacancies publicly and make them visible to a large number of potential employees. Based on the received job applications, it is necessary to select the right applicants. New technologies allow pre-selection without the need of candidates physical presence, which significantly reduces costs. From the aspect of job candidates, changes in communication have brought significant advantages. Exploring for a potential jobs is easier via the Internet, applying and sending application documents is simplified and with minimal costs. The opportunity for the candidates to present their skills, creates good preconditions for the employment. The paper analyzes the possibilities for the selection of employees by companies and the potential that the Internet provides to individuals to find vacancies and apply for jobs. Special attention has been put on the analysis of the job databases as well as databases of those who are willing to offer their knowledge and find an employment.

Insurance, as a source of society's aspirations, represents the association of all those who are exposed to the same danger. The coronavirus pandemic has affected various aspects of life, including the insurance industry. Life insurance is one of the types of insurance where the obligations of insurance companies to policyholders have increased during the coronavirus pandemic. The paper analyzes the normative complex of the insurance premium with the specifics and characteristics of this topic. We consider it important to comprehensively explain the premium as an essential element of the life insurance contract. The analysis includes how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting life insurance premiums. This period of change could be a turning point and lead to transformational changes in the life insurance industry. Those who are able to adapt quickly to changes in the environment, who prioritize the insurance consumer and who see this crisis as an opportunity to start from scratch and fundamentally rethink the way they do business will quickly find their place when things calm down.

Social networks have significantly contributed to the relativization of the boundaries between private life and the business sphere, which has enabled employers to more easily and quickly obtain relevant data during the employment process, while avoiding contact with the candidates. Employers violate the privacy of potential candidates by obtaining data in this manner without making prior notification and receiving consent, which opens up a whole range of complex ethical and legal issues, especially in the light of the large number of fake profiles and pages on social networks. On the other hand, candidates applying for a vacant position have the opportunity to get to know an organization's employers and employees in more detail, and to gather more information that can often be decisive when making the final decision on whether or not to send in a job application. Most employers today use social media during the process of collecting data on job candidates. Employers cite inappropriate photos, videos or information, followed by announcements pertaining to alcohol or drug consumption, as well as detected discriminatory comments, as the most common reasons for not hiring candidates after verification through social networks.

Innovation emerged as a subject of major research in the second half of the twentieth century, so that researchers observe this period as the beginning of the development of innovation studies. The paper presents an analysis of relevant literature that indicates innovation as a significant factor in increasing the competitiveness of the economy. The European System of Innovation Indicators (EIS and IUS) is explained, which enables a comparable assessment of the success of innovation in EU countries, pointing out the relative strengths and weaknesses of their research and innovation systems. In this way, it helps Member States to assess areas that would be good to focus on in order to strengthen their profits in the field of innovation. The paper presents an analysis and a comparative innovation index of Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia for 2021 according to the IUS methodology.

The starting point from which we began our research was that many companies around the world could not predict and adapt to the new changes taking place in the environment (closure due to the corona virus pandemic, war in Ukraine, sanctions against Russia). Through strategic analysis, companies were able to gather information about planned scenarios and based on them, quality decisions could be made. The goal of the research is to point out the importance of strategic analysis, as an important phase in strategic planning, in order to avoid or mitigate all threats that have arisen in the external environment. The paper will present methods and techniques, with which management will collect data, all with the aim of making timely decisions. The methods we used for the work are: analysis and synthesis. The results of the research show us that if companies master these methods and techniques of strategic management on the one hand and have quality management on the other hand, they can largely predict the emergence of potential threats from the external environment. To avoid crisis situations, it is necessary for every company to incorporate crisis management within its organization.

The importance of research on the impact of social networks on the employment is an increasingly current topic for research at the global level. LinkedIn is increasingly present by companies, businesses offering jobs as well as people looking for a business opportunity. The aim of the research was to determine the extent to which the LinkedIn network has an impact on employment in the Republic of Serbia and to investigate the attitudes of users of this network. The survey was conducted from January to March 2022 on a sample of 244 respondents, users of the LinkedIn network. SPSS software was used, 26.00, and the obtained data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. To determine the structure of the questionnaire and the percentage of variance, an exploratory factor analysis was performed together with a higher order factor analysis, in order to obtain the desired number of factors. The authors used multiple regression analysis to confirm the significance of the predictors. The results indicate that the greatest importance is in predicting the use of the Linkedin network when hiring workers and their feelings when using this network. The importance of work is reflected in the recognition of the importance of the social network LinkedIn in hiring workers in order to better recruit professionals.

Facilitated and stimulated transfer of knowledge, primarily due to digital technology and globalization, enabled subjects in the economy to actively use it in order to achieve success in business. The company's portfolio becomes enriched with resources or assets whose main substantial element is knowledge. However, knowledge is not easy to track and include in business books. Due to the fact that it cannot be seen or touched, additional efforts have been made by researchers to develop a quality accounting methodology. In addition to the fact that in the context of accounting, knowledge is qualified as an intangible asset, the methodology of financial accounting has been improved, and various models of its measurement have been offered in the literature. In particular, the VAIC model for measuring the efficiency of using intangible assets stands out in the literature.

Economic diplomacy as such includes targeted activities carried out by representatives of one country with representatives of another country, which in their core aim to increase foreign investments, greater volume of exports or imports, as well as strengthening the positions of domestic companies in other countries. In addition to the aforementioned activities, economic diplomacy also includes activities that a country undertakes by participating in international economic organizations as well as joining them. This discipline represents the future and the direction of diplomacy of every modern state that wants to survive in today's market conditions, which are unstable, changing and a decisive factor for every participant. The main goal, focus and function of economic diplomacy must be the protection of national economic interests in every international relationship, whatever level it may be. In this paper, economic diplomacy as a discipline will be dealt with, a short theoretical review will be given, as well as the author's perspectives and views on the progress of the Republic of Serbia and the countries of the region in this field.

The area that causes great attention of economic science is the issue of growth and development. The impact of human resources on economic growth is of great importance. Human capital is the driver of the economic growth of any national economy, on the other hand, the state is the driver of education of its population. An important driver of development is education, i.e. investing in the education system, which further drives other macroeconomic variables. Both theory and practice are increasingly dealing with the issue of human capital, as important components and factors of the overall economic development of the national economy. Investments in education result in an increase in economic growth, this increase allows for greater investment in future education. Long-term economic growth determines the standard of living, which directly affects human development. The Human Development Index sublimates several parameters in itself and at the same time shows correlations between the economy, quality of life, and level of education in the country. The paper aims to point out the importance of human capital in economic science and practice through the paradigm of the concept of human development, following the trends of HDI in the Republic of Serbia and the surrounding countries.

Two significant phenomena that have occurred in the past few years have been emigration and the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. These events shook the world on a global level, causing political, economic, social and other consequences. These two crises seem to have been used to achieve certain political goals, both nationally and globally. Thus, political goals came to the fore in the defense against the crisis. However, the crisis of the pandemic is more relevant by nature, because it is about people's lives and health, globally, encompassing all countries, different nations, cultures, religions, but also different gender, age, education and other structures. The crisis of the pandemic and the fight against it is aggravated by migration, environmental, economic and other crises, which means that these are integrated crises to which an integrated or holistic response should be given. Medical and pharmaceutical science and the profession found themselves in a delicate situation, to respond to the challenges of mass infection with the C-19 virus, and both were not prepared to respond to the pandemic, and this disorientation caused "cracks" that led to undermined public confidence in medicine and the subordination of the medical profession to politics. This is more or less a statement that applies to the whole world, and especially to transition countries with a low level of democracy and without strong health, but also other institutions. The paper deals with the place and role of medical science and profession in the COVID-19 pandemic and the problems that led to the ideologisation, but also the commercialization of the pandemic. The aim of the paper is to point out certain problems in the management of the pandemic, so that they would not appear in the next mass crises
