This study aims to investigate the problems, solutions, and opinions about the use of the Tanjungpura University’s e-learning-Moodle LMS as learning media during the covid-19 pandemic by students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Tanjungpura University in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Respondents in this study were selected based on the characteristics of gender, and semester classifications. The qualitative research approach was employed in this study, utilizing semi-structured interviews where the interview questions underwent a piloting phase. The results of the study showed that the challenges faced by the students in using Moodle LMS included network instability, application errors, application disadvantages and the level of technology literacy which were followed up by shortcut tricks and strategies the respondents came up with to overcome them. In general, respondents gave a positive response to the use of Moodle LMS which can be seen from their preference for Moodle LMS over other LMS’s, claim of its suitability for use in learning, and willingness to recommend it to other potential users. However, all respondents revealed that they prefer face-to-face learning to online learning.

This study aims to execute the entrepreneurship education strategy implemented by Salaf Islamic boarding schools. This qualitative research collects data through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman models. This research shows that the alleged educational pattern of the Salaf Islamic boarding schools which ignores worldly problems, in fact has a very systematic pattern of entrepreneurship education. The results of this study provide a clear explanation of how the entrepreneurship education system in Islamic boarding schools is very well coordinated. Santri who are at the age of children are given educational provisions in the character of honesty, leadership, understanding opportunities, and cooperation so that they are able to become entrepreneurs who bring benefits to all people. Interestingly, this kind of character education is delivered in Islamic ways, namely using the study of arba'in hadiths. Considering that entrepreneurship character education alone is not enough to produce talented entrepreneurs, students who are in their teens are also given training to be able to choose good raw materials, understand how and what objects must be produced, and even learn to market their products within the pesantren. Apart from that, the pesantren also provides facilities for adult students to master marketing techniques, with the aim that the products produced can be in demand and known by the wider community. The contribution of this research can be used as a guideline for Islamic boarding schools to formulate policies so that entrepreneurship education programs can be implemented optimally in Islamic boarding schools.

This study aimed to find out the most frequently used method in teaching English grammar at the senior high schools of Mukomuko regency and to reveal the reasons of using the most frequently used method. An explanatory mixed method design was carried out to collect and analyze the data quantitatively and qualitatively. Three instruments were used; Questionnaire, interview, and classroom observational checklist. Thirty-one English teachers filled out the questionnaire, four teachers were selected to be interviewed, and two of them were observed. The results of this study showed; first, Situational Language Teaching was the most frequently used method in teaching English grammar at the senior high schools of Mukomuko regency. This study aims to determine the effect of the storytelling method and self-confidence on the expressive language skills of early childhood. The approach used is quantitative through an experimental method with treatment by level 2x2 design. This research was conducted on children in group B Kindergarten in Tanah Datar Regency. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling (simple random sampling). The number of samples in this study was 24 children (12 in the experimental class and 12 in the control class. Data collection in this study used a self-made checklist. The data analysis technique in this study used two-way ANOVA to see the main effects and interactions then used the Tukey test). To see a simple effect, the results of this study are as follows: 1) The expressive language ability of children who are given the storytelling method is higher than the children who are given the show and tell treatment. 2) There is an interaction between the storytelling method and self-confidence, in general, it has a significant effect on children's expressive language skills. 3) Children who have high self-confidence, by being treated with the storytelling method have higher expressive language skills than using the show and tell storytelling method). 4) Children who have low self-confidence using the show and tell storytelling method have higher expressive language skills than those who are treated using the storytelling method

The process of doing a needs analysis becomes essential since it gives instructional designers the chance to create learning materials that will actually benefit the target audiences. The present study aimed at scrutinizing the students’ needs to develop an English course for agriculture students in Indonesian vocational higher education or polytechnic. The researchers try to bring novelty in the present study by considering CEFR framework as a standard for describing and determining the level of ability or proficiency. Convergent parallel mixed methods design was employed in the current study. The data were obtained from questionnaires, interviews and focused group discussion. The questionnaire was distributed to the agriculture department students, employing a stratified random sampling method. In addition, the interview and focused group discussion were done with the coordinators of study program, the Head of Quality Assurance, lecturers who taught Intermediate English Course, and industry partners as well. The data collected from questionnaires, interview, and focused group discussion were then analyzed using side-by-side comparison. The results disclosed that the language skill considered the most important for the agriculture department students is speaking skill since it has a great impact on students’ academic, social and professional development. In other words, the agriculture department students require a learning process that emphasizes practice over theory. Furthermore, to make classroom activities more exciting, they desire the learning process that is blended with games. As a result, this study also provides implications for course designers to develop English materials that reflect comprehensive needs of the students.

The objective of this study is to determine the effects and advantages of using an eclectic approach in English textbooks for the eleventh grade of Indonesian senior high school students. The study was designed using qualitative research methods, with the objective of generating descriptive data in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. The study found the effect of using an eclectic approach in an English textbook for the eleventh-grade students of the Islamic High School (MAN) 1 of Metro. The use of an eclectic approach enabled teachers to use conversation, forming study group, loud-speaker, game, and body movement at the appropriate moment and arrangement while delivering the material. Among the advantages of using this method is that it allows the teacher to make the material more interesting, vary the teaching, increase confidence in delivering material, and liven up the bilingual situation. In addition, eclectic approach allows students to understand the English material more easily and relax while learning English. The study found that the use of an eclectic approach in English textbooks for the eleventh-grade students in an Islamic senior high school (MAN) 1 of Metro has a significant impact on both teachers and students when it comes to teaching and learning English.

Development of the globalized world of the 21st century brings many changes, especially advances in the world of education. Ethnoscience-based learning is an innovation that integrates local wisdom as a learning resource to achieve learning objectives. Teachers can connect local wisdom possessed by students and then link it to science learning materials so that learning will be more meaningful and fun. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of teachers' understanding of ethnoscience-based learning and its application as a learning resource in learning in elementary schools. The sampling technique was purposive sampling from 8 elementary schools, Kaliwungu Kendal. Data were collected by interview, observation and documentation and analyzed by qualitative descriptive method. results of data analysis from 8 resource persons, it shows five from eight teachers have not understood specifically about ethnoscience-based learning, and all teachers have used internal ethnoscience as a learning resource. However, of the 8 teachers, only 3 teachers wrote ethnoscience-based learning designs in the lesson plan.
