Organic thin film transistors based on anthracene oligomers 基于蒽低聚物的有机薄膜晶体管

Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) were fabricated using organic semiconductor anthracene oligomers, 2,2'-bianthracene (2A), 2,6-trianthracene (3A), and their dihexyl derivatives (DH-2A and DH-3A), as the active layer material. X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy revealed that the thin films of anthracene oligomers deposited by thermal evaporation had a high degree of lamellar ordering. The OTFTs showed high field effect mobilities; the highest mobility (0.13 cm/sup 2//Vs) was obtained for DH-2A.

Tackling occlusion in scan rate conversion systems 扫描速率转换系统中的遮挡处理

We present a motion compensated frame rate up-conversion algorithm which aims at reducing the interpolation artefacts in occlusion areas. This algorithm uses motion vectors estimated between two successive frames, and uses the same 2 frames for the up-conversion.

The author has applied a guided scrambling (GS) technique, usually used for a recording channel, to digital watermarking (Kunisa, A., Proc. SPIE: Security and Watermarking of Multimedia Contents, V, 2003). The paper modifies the GS-based watermarking algorithm to a block-wise watermarking system. It is well suited for compression processing, such as JPEG or JPEG2000, and is readily applied to digital cameras.

We proposed a system on a chip (SOC) for CD-RW (ReWritable) drives. This SOC consists of 32 bit RISC CPU, 4 Mb flash ROM, C1/C2 ENDEC, data recovery, digital servo, C3 ENDEC, ATAPI and write strategy blocks. It supports up to 52X CD-R and 32X CD-RW recording speed. Most of the servo functions except the loop filter are implemented in software with embedded CPU. the servo loop filter is implemented in a hardwire 32 bit adder and a 16/spl times/16 multiplier. We designed a new data slicing circuit to improve readability. Also, we introduced a new linking method to link data seamlessly even in the occurrence of buffer under-run. This chip was fabricated in 0.18 /spl mu/m, 1-poly 5-metal CMOS process and occupies an active area of 5.2 mm /spl times/ 5.6 mm.

The personal video recorder such as recordable-DVD recorder and/or hard disk recorder has become popular as a large volume storage device for video/audio content and a browsing function that would quickly provide a desired scene to the user is required as an essential part of such a large capacity system. We propose an intra-program content browsing system using not only a combination of motion based video summarization and topic-related metadata in the incoming video stream but also an audio-assisted video browsing feature that enables completely automatic topic-based browsing.

A single chip hybrid (analog/digital) TV media processor is designed to implement high quality television at a lower cost.

A novel track jump controller with hybrid track position detector for the optical disk drives 一种新型的带混合磁道位置检测器的光盘驱动器磁道跳变控制器

This paper presents a novel hybrid track position detector for the track jump control in optical disk drives. The proposed controller draws the feedback information from the HTP position information instead of the conventional track crossing velocity. The controller design is then based on the position information. The design leads to more accurate feedback information, and thus more accurate velocity profile. The experimental results show that the proposed controller achieves better seeks time performance. The short jump experiments also show that the proposed system can more effectively cancel the disk eccentricity effect.

An adaptive trace deletion method for the management of survivor paths in Viterbi decoders is proposed. The proposed scheme has an adaptive decoding length. By using the proposed scheme, lower latency and lower power consumption than the traditional trace deletion scheme can be achieved.

As one of the first results of video indexing research, applied to real-world consumer products, we present genre-independent video browsing functions for digital TV receivers with persistent storage, i.e. PVRs. The presented browsing functionalities are enabled by real-time video indexing technology, which can handle HD-class MPEG-2 broadcast video in real-time.
