: Background: Sleep disorders and anorexia are the most commonly reported symptoms of cancer children undergoing chemotherapy. The present study was aimed to investigate the effect of Benson's Relaxation Response (BRR) on sleep quality and anorexia of cancer children undergoing chemotherapy. A quasi-experimental research design was conducted at the pediatric oncology unit of South Egypt Cancer Institute, Assiut University. A total of 80 children took part in this trial, which was randomly divided into two groups: intervention and control. The data was collected using three tools. III: It included two parts : Part (1) visual analog appetite scale Tool I: Biosocial demographic characteristics of studied children, Tool II: St. Mary's Hospital Sleep Questionnaire (SMHSQ). Tool and Part (2) is the functional assessment of anorexia-cachexia therapy (FAACT). The results of this study showed a significant improvement in the sleep quality and anorexia level in the intervention group with a p-value of 0.001, while there was no statistically significant difference in the control group. The researchers concluded that Benson's Relaxation Response had a positive effect on sleep quality and anorexia in cancer children undergoing chemotherapy . For children with cancer receiving chemotherapy, hospitals are recommended to utilize the BRR in conjunction with other therapies to enhance sleep and reduce anorexia.

Background : Suicide rates were higher in patients with depressive illnesses, according to research. Suicidal thoughts were present in about 75 percent of depressive patients. The routes to Suicide are complicated and involve multiple risk factors. The study aimed to assess the likelihood of suicide behavior in depressed patients and how it relates to psychological pain and rumination. Design: A descriptive correlational research design. Subjects and Methods : A purposive sample, which included 112 patients with major depressive disorder, were enrolled in the study; also, they were chosen from the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics at the El Ahrar and Zagazig University Hospitals in Egypt. Demographic interview sheets, the Ruminative Responses Scale, the Mee-Bunney Psychological Pain Rating Scale, and the Suicide Probability Scale were requested to be completed by the participants. Results: Nearly three-fifths of the sample under consideration had high levels of psychological distress, high levels of rumination were present in more than 50% of the depressive patients, and most depressive patients had moderate levels of suicidal risk. Suicidal risk was positively correlated with rumination and psychological pain. Conclusion: Significantly positive predictors of suicidal probability included ruminating, psychological suffering, and previous suicide attempts. Recommendations: Interferences that emphasize relieving rumination, such as Rumination-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, learning problem-solving skills, and meditation, might be mainly helpful in diminishing suicide risk in patients with depression.

: Background: Half of pregnant women frequently complain of lumpo-pelvic pain (LPP). It could have a detrimental impact on sleep, work capacity, physical, social, and psychological health that contribute to physical inactivity. The benefits of LPP prevention or remedy for pregnant women through specific exercises should therefore be further investigated. Thus, this trial aimed to evaluate the effect of a concurrent exercise program on pregnancy-related lumbo-pelvic pain. Methods: A randomized, controlled trial was conducted at the family health centers affiliated to Mansoura district as well as the antenatal clinics of Mansoura University hospital in El Dakahlia Governorate. A total sample size of 144 pregnant women was selected using a randomized sampling technique. Data collection tools were five: a structured interview schedule for assessing pregnant women's characteristics; the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS); the Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ); an Arabic version of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS); and an Arabic version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Results: Before the exercise program, 70.8% of the pregnant women in study groups reported moderate pain level, while 58.3% of the pregnant women in control groups reported sever pain level. Compared to two-months after the program, this higher pain level improved in the study group to mild pain among 52.8%, but remained the severe pain level among 55.6% of the control group. Conclusion and recommendations: The concurrent exercises reduce the severity of lumbo-pelvic pain and its related symptoms in pregnant women. So, the researchers recommend including concurrent exercises in regular prenatal care as a viable therapeutic option for pregnancy-related LPP.
