Leaky rectangular waveguide with deflected radiation field 具有偏转辐射场的泄漏矩形波导

A novel kind of leaky rectangular waveguide with a pair of inclined periodic slots cut in the broadside wall, working at 1.7GHz, is presented in this paper, which can generate a deflected radiation field. The radiation characteristics are analyzed by a hybrid method combining a full-wave method for near-field computation and an integral method for far-field computation. Results show that a deflected radiation field along the leaky rectangular waveguide can be obtained by properly designing the parameters of slots. This kind of leaky rectangular waveguide can be applied in rail transportation system, it will enhance the receiving signal and suppress the interference. As a result, the reliability of the system will be improved.

Composite right/left-handed substrate integrated waveguide leaky-wave antenna array with low sidelobe level and high gain 低旁瓣高增益的复合左右基板集成波导漏波天线阵列

Composite right/left-handed (CRLH) substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) leaky-wave antenna array with low sidelobe level and high gain is proposed. By controlling leakage amount of each interdigital slot etched on the broadside of the SIW, the sidelobe level of the antenna can be reduced effectively. A four-way SIW power divider with Chebyshev current distribution in magnitude is proposed to improve the main lobe and to suppress the sidelobe. The simulated results show that both the gain and radiation efficiency are improved by using antenna array. The proposed CRLH antenna array has a sidelobe level of −13.3dB and a high gain up to 23.67dB at 5.8GHz.

Simulation of the high-altitude nuclear EMP by using a novel initial electron distribution method 用一种新的初始电子分布方法模拟高空核电磁脉冲

In previous studies, Klein-Nishina (KN) formula is used to simulate the initial distribution of the motion of the Compton electrons generated during the high-altitude nuclear pulse (HEMP). Here we introduce a mean initial value method (MIVM) to approximate the KN distribution. An attenuation coefficient is added to the current density formula. The method is found good in calculating the peak value of the transverse electric field. The difference of the half-width between the two methods is no larger than 20 percent. The computing time of the MIVM is much shorter compared with the KN formula method.

Wideband pulse response of compact filter-antenna under impact of an EMP 紧凑型滤波天线在电磁脉冲作用下的宽带脉冲响应

Research on time-domain responses of the compact filter-antenna of communication system in the presence of an in intentional electromagnetic pulses (EMP) is carried out in this conference paper. An efficient numerical method based on FDTD method is implanted for studying an EMP coupling with some typical compact filter-antennas widely used in the communication systems. Our developed program code is used to capture the responses of the compact filter-antennas. The time-domain induced voltages characteristics of the antenna illuminated by different incident EMPs are shown and compared in detail. These results are useful for further evaluating electromagnetic environment and electromagnetic protection of some complex communication.

A two steps fast monostatic radar cross section simulation scheme based on adaptive cross approximation and singular value decomposition 一种基于自适应交叉逼近和奇异值分解的两步快速单站雷达截面仿真方案

The monostatic radar cross section are used widely in radar applications. The numerical algorithms such as integral equation can be used for accurate simulation of monostatic radar cross section. However, the simulation of monostatic radar cross section is much more time consuming than bistatic radar cross section, if an iterative solver is used. In this paper we propose a scheme based on the adaptive cross approximation (ACA) and singular value decomposition (SVD) which can reduce the simulation time of monostatic radar cross section simulation using integral equation method.

Generation of multiple modes microwave vortex beams using tunable metasurface 利用可调谐超表面产生多模微波涡旋光束

In this paper, an active metasurface for vortex beam generation is proposed. This metasurface can transform the incident plane wave into vortex beams carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) in four different modes. This active metasurface is composed of an array of varactor diodes loaded unit cells. The transmission phase of each metasurface unit cell can be fully controlled by the capacitance of the varactor diodes. Thus, it can generate four modes of vortex beams separately by simply changing the transmission phase distribution on the metasurface aperture. The properties of the proposed active metasurface is demonstrated by simulation results and have a good agreement with the theoretical design.

Modeling and optimization for balise coupling process in high speed railway 高速铁路车架耦合过程建模与优化

As key components of the train control system, balise and Balise Transmission Module (BTM) cooperate with each other and fulfill the ground-train information transmission to ensure the safety and reliability of train operation. In order to solve the problem of the coupling performance analysis of the balise, this paper sets up the coupling model of the balise system for the cause of formation of the induced voltage amplitude envelope(IVAE) during the coupling process, and finally proposes the optimization which could improve balise coupling performance by adjusting the spatial electromagnetic field distribution and changing the IVAE.

This paper shows the extension of Data matrix fitting-based Direction-of-Arrival (DOA) algorithm from the time domain to the frequency domain. We show that it is possible to implement Data matrix fitting-based DOA algorithm in the frequency domain and the estimation performance is superior to the DOA estimation algorithm in which no compressive sensing is applied to sinusoidal incident signals.

A compact monopole antenna for UWB application 用于超宽带应用的紧凑型单极天线

In this study, a novel compact printed monopole antenna for ultra-wideband systems is presented. The antenna exhibits an ultra-wideband frequency cover from 2.45 to 11.0GHz. The radiation pattern of the proposed antenna is nearly omni-directional in the H-plane over the entire operating bandwidth. Microwave experiments and numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate its functionalities. Good agreement is obtained between the simulated and the measured antenna characteristics.

Differentially-fed re-entrant coupled-line directional couplers 差动馈入式耦合线定向耦合器

In this paper differentially-fed directional couplers have been proposed in which two-conductor balanced lines are arranged vertically. The possible realizable coupling in such structures is investigated and a method for coupling enhancement is proposed. The method is based on the re-entrant technique utilized in the design of single ended coupled line directional couplers. The results of theoretical investigation have been confirmed by measurements of two differentially-fed directional couplers having coupling 10 dB and 3 dB.
