The Development of Learning Device Based on Cognitive Conflict to Improve Mathematics Problem Solving Skills for Students in Madrasah Tsanawiyah 基于认知冲突的学习工具的开发提高萨纳维耶伊斯兰学校学生解决数学问题的能力

According to the National Council of Mathematics Teachers (NCTM) 2005, Mathematics is a means of problem-solving. NCTM also emphasizes that problem solving cannot be separated from learning Mathematics because problem-solving is an integral part of learning Mathematics. This study aims to improve the mathematical problem-solving ability of students in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah by using a cognitive conflict-based learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah. This type of research is development research. Data collection was carried out in 3 stages, the investigation stage, the prototype phase, and the assessment phase as the level of implementation and achievement in using the cognitive conflict-based learning model. The instruments used in this study were in the form of interview guidelines, questionnaires, and observation sheets. The data analysis carried out is the analysis of data on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning tools. The results of problem-solving abilities can be seen from the results of students' final tests in each meeting which always increase. Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that Cognitive Conflict-based mathematics learning tools can improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Development of Rujuku Mobile Learning Apps on Integer Operation Material as Alternative Media 以整数运算材料为替代媒介的高校移动学习app开发

Since the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020, Indonesia has implemented distance education by optimizing the use of technology. Therefore, the researcher developed the Rujuku Mobile Learning Apps Development on Integer Operation Material in Class VII SMP/MTs to support the implementation of distance learning during the pandemic. This study aimed to develop the RUJUKU application and determine student responses in learning after using the developed media. This development research uses the ADDIE method. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with data processing techniques analyzed using percentage data analysis techniques. The results showed that RUJUKU was suitable for use, attractive, and easy to use. This is based on the validation results in terms of material, an average of 89.70%, and in terms of media, an average of 88.81%. Student response is quite good, with a percentage of 89.06%. Based on that result, this research significantly impacted the integers' learning process of addition and subtraction operations during this pandemic.

The Eighth Graders' Higher Order Thinking Skills in Solving Numeracy Problems-Based Minimum Competency Assessment 基于最低能力评估的八年级学生解决数学问题的高阶思维能力

The Indonesian government makes efforts to improve students' higher-order thinking skills by implementing a Minimum Competency Assessment or Assessment Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) as a substitute for the National Examination. With the implementation of the AKM, it is necessary to find out how students can solve these questions. This research analyzed students' higher-order thinking skills in solving AKM-type math problems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research consisting of 3 stages: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the data analysis stage. The research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year with the research subjects of eleven 8th grade students of SMP IT Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga, South Sumatra, and SMPN 11 Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. Data collection techniques used are tests, documentation, observation, and interviews. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that students with high abilities could solve several questions that required analytical power but were still weak in solving questions that required evaluation. Other students still need to improve their analytical and evaluation skills.

Hypothetical Learning Trajectory Design of Sinus Rules Based on PBL with Ethnomathematics of Minangkabau Culture 基于PBL和米南卡堡文化民族数学的窦规则假想学习轨迹设计

Based on the preliminary research, the tenth-grade students lacked ability in mathematical problem solving of sine rule. One of the factors that influenced this problem was the teacher's learning model, which was still mechanistic. The teacher did not relate between learning and environment or local culture. Based on this, this study aims to develop HLT on the topic of a valid ethnomathematical PBL-based sine rule. The development model used is the Plomp model and the Gravemeijer and Cobb model, which consists of the initial investigation stage, product development stage, and assessment stage. In this article, the discussion is focused on the HLT development stage. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and descriptive techniques. Data collection instruments used: validation sheets, observation sheets, interview sheets, questionnaires, and field notes. This study resulted in the HLT of the sine rule based on PBL nuances of Minangkabau Culture, which met the validity criteria of 0.771 and the characteristics of validity in terms of content and constructs.

Inquiry-Based Student Worksheet Design for Introduction to Mathematical Statistics Course 数理统计概论探究式学生工作表的设计

In the new normal, learning is carried out online. For this reason, educators must be able to package the learning activity interactively so that students have the motivation to learn. The inquiry method facilitates students to be active in learning. Students are guided through the questions arranged in the Worksheet. Therefore, this study aims to develop an Inquiry-Based Student Worksheet in the Introduction to Mathematical Statistics in the New Normal Era. The development model used is 4D with the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, the stages of this article are defined and designed. The instrument used in the define stage is a questionnaire. The results at the define stage are that teaching materials are needed to help students find concepts, and the Student Worksheets are one of the teaching materials that have a good impact on learning.

Analysis of Mathematical Communication Skills to Students Based on Problem-Solving Construction 基于问题解决结构的学生数学交际技巧分析

This research aims to systematically analyze students' mathematical communication skills based on the given problem-solving construction from the given math problems. The students involved in this study are class IX SMPN 1 Mangarabombang. The type of research applied is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research instruments are Mathematical Ability Test, Mathematical Communication Skills Guidelines, and Interview Guidelines. In this study, triangulation techniques were used to check the validity of the data that had been obtained. Data analysis techniques in this study use model with the following stages: 1. Data Reduction, 2. Data Presentation, and 3. Making Conclusion. The results show that mathematical communication skills can be demonstrated by mathematical modeling, representation of ideas, development of the ability to use mathematical object devices, and connecting algebraic expression to mathematical ideas. To realize this, the researcher understood and mastered mathematical concepts to support solving the given problems. Understanding, in this case, is characterized by indicators not only knowing mathematical concepts but knowing at the time when they are used and how to apply them. Then mastery is to place the mathematical concept in the context of the problem.

Development of Interactive Learning Media with A Malay Culture Nuances and Characteristics of RME on Cube and Cuboid Materials for Junior High School 以马来文化为核心的互动学习媒体的发展与初中立体教材RME的特点

This study aimed to produce interactive learning media with Malay culture nuances and characteristics of RME on Cube and cuboid Materials for Junior High School, valid and practical categories. This research is a solution to the problems arising from the Covid-19 pandemic that applies distance learning so that the learning provided is less appropriate and less effective through the developed learning media; it is expected to help and improve students' understanding. This research starts from the define stage, the design stage, to the development stage by conducting a validity and practicality test. The instruments used are peer assessment questionnaires, expert validation sheets, and practicality questionnaires for educators and students. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The data obtained is qualitative, and then the data is converted into quantitative data using MSR. From the Validation of material experts, they obtained an assessment of 80.50% with valid criteria, media expert Validation obtained an assessment of 87.73% with valid criteria, and linguistics expert validation obtained an assessment of 93.01% with valid criteria. For the practicality questionnaire, the teacher's response received an assessment of 92.79 % with practical criteria, and the student response practicality questionnaire received an assessment of 78.27% with practical criteria. The developed product has reached valid and practical criteria. Therefore, this research implies that interactive learning media with Malay culture and RME characteristics is feasible to test for effectiveness.

Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis. The data obtained is qualitative, and then the data is converted into quantitative data using MSR. From the Validation of material experts, they obtained an assessment of 80.50% with valid criteria, media expert Validation obtained an assessment of 87.73% with valid criteria, and linguistics expert validation obtained an assessment of 93.01% with valid criteria. Students’ Expectations of Offline Learning Road to Endemic Covid-19 Status as the Effect of Online Learning 学生对新冠肺炎线下学习之路的期望与在线学习的效果

Many methods and strategies of learning were being searched, made, and invented by a lecturer to provide an effective online learning process. Two years passed, and now Indonesia is on the road to endemic of covid-19 status, which soon caused the permission for offline learning. Indeed, students have their own expectations for this condition. Do they like it? Do they have difficulties so far? Do they want other methods? or other expectations of students which have not been explored yet? Therefore, this research will explore students' expectations of welcoming offline learning using a qualitative research method. The questionnaire was used as the instrument to collect the data from the students in the first year of the pandemic. The instrument mostly asked about the students' opinion of their online learning, then related to their expectations when it became offline learning soon. It was simply analyzed using excel to show the percentage of each data. The result showed that 75% did not like online learning since it impacts their score, which decreased from an average of about 70 to 50. Therefore, many students expect to understand the material with offline learning (80%) better than online. The reason for being less understandable with online learning and the decreasing score of students, becomes the evaluation of online learning found in this research. That strongly becomes the reason why the students expect to have a better understanding of offline learning in 2022

Development of Interactive Multimedia Using Adobe Animate Software on the Material of Sequences and Series For Class XI MAN Bintan

In the implementation of the teaching and learning process, the use of learning media is still not optimally applied, besides seeing the obstacles experienced by students in learning mathematics, especially the material for rows and Series. So, a solution is needed to deal with the problems that occur. Based on the results of interviews conducted with a mathematics subject teacher, it was found that the teaching materials required by students to support mathematics learning with the demands of the use of technology were in the form of teaching materials that could be run on a computer or smartphone. This study aims to describe the development of learning media in the form of interactive multimedia using Adobe Animate on the material of sequences and Series for class XI Islamic High School (MAN) Bintan, which is valid and practical. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE research model, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation; in this current research, it was only until the implementation stage. The subjects of this study were 20 students of class XI MAN Bintan. The types of data in this study are quantitative and qualitative data. Research instruments are media and material validation sheets and questionnaires for teacher and student responses to be checked for practicality. The results showed: (1) the validity of interactive multimedia based on the assessment of media and material experts got an average percentage of 81,37% validity with very valid criteria. (2) the practicality of interactive multimedia based on the questionnaire responses of teachers and students after using interactive multimedia got an average percentage of 89,34% practicality with very practical criteria.

Student Errors in Mathematics Word Problem: What Can Be Learned? 学生数学题中的错误:可以学到什么?

This study aims to understand better student errors in solving mathematics word problems. A Word problem is a problem that has a story or arrangement based on sentences. The qualitative research approach was used. The data were collected by giving tests and interviewing two male high achievers senior high school students in mathematics. The student error analysis adopted the Newman error analysis system. The source triangulation was used to ensure the data validity. Based on the collecting data and data analysis, the decoding/reading error happened caused by students' common understanding or unfamiliarity of the mathematical terms used in the problem. The subjects showed inconsistency in interpreting problem sentences and misused mathematical symbols. Furthermore, the subject encountered difficulties with the arithmetic process, especially fractions and their operation. This research identified students' difficulties in solving problem mathematics word problems. Moreover, this research provides evidence that encourages further research on mathematical literacy, mathematical communication skills, students' arithmetic skills, and the evaluation process of the problem-solving activity.
