There are lots of skyscrapers in Indonesia, especially in the Jakarta area. In designing the building, of course, it needs to be designed with appropriate earthquake loads for the location and conditions around the building. Regulations that can be used in the design of skyscrapers are regulations developed by the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), including earthquake loads, gravity loads, and design standards. The method of collecting data in research includes 2 things, namely, (1). primary data, in the form of style output in the SAP2000 version 20 application, Spcolumn v.6.0 column interaction diagrams, and the results of Microsoft Excel calculation analysis. (2) the secondary data obtained is in the form of an image of the structure of the 17 Floor Hotel Kemayoran Area Building.Secondary and primary data processing is in the form of remodeling the redesigned building structure design in SAP2000 version 20 and Spcoloumn v.6.0, determining the seismic design category, analyzing and making changes to the original building structure design that are not in accordance with SNI 1726: 2019 and SNI 2847: 2019. The results of the study found differences in the year versions in SNI 2847:2013 and 2847:2019, SNI 1726:2012 and SNI 1726:2019. In SNI 2847:2019 concerning structural concrete there is a change or addition of special detailing and stirrup reinforcement in columns, beams and floor slabs, while in SNI 1726:2019 concerning earthquake loads there is an increase in seismic forces.

The Citizen Science Association (CSA) is a member-driven organization that connects people with interest in community/citizen science (c*science) from a wide range of backgrounds, disciplines, and experiences. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the bi-annual CSA conference pivoted away from an in-person format to a virtual format. CitSciVirtual: Local, Global, Connected occurred throughout May 2021 and brought together more than 700 attendees from 36 countries. The conference prioritized interactive experiences for attendees, including 16 collaborative poster sessions featuring 240 virtual posters, 55 workshops to learn and practice new skills, and 7 social events. This paper summarizes the impacts of the rapid transition to a virtual format on the conference goals, planning and decision-making processes, practices, outcomes, and attendee experiences. Both the strengths and weaknesses of this first virtual conference are featured to outline opportunities for growth for the CSA, c*science at large, and science conferences in general. © 2023 AESS Publications. Ecological research, education, and community engagement were interrupted globally in the spring and summer of 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. To allow for continued data collection and to provide opportunities for people to interact with nature, we developed a community science project focusing on pollinator visitation to gardens and lawns. To evaluate the accessibility of this project to volunteers, we conducted 28 semi-structured interviews with people who participated in the project training. Interviewees experienced a number of barriers to participation, the most common of which were difficulty with the data collection procedure (n = 22), challenges using technology (n = 11), and lack of access to technology (n = 9). However, components of the online training and data collection procedure helped overcome some of these barriers. Strategies such as using a hybrid training format, simplifying the use of technology during training, and incorporating active learning into online workshops could increase participation in community science projects, both in the context of the pandemic and moving forward. © 2023 The Author(s).

Semarang City, the capital city of Central Java Province, is one of the cities with a dense population in Indonesia of 1.7 million people and ranks 4th in the region with a population of Central Java. With increasing population growth and limited land for infrastructure development, adding a building floor can solve infrastructure with limited land by utilizing every building space. This study uses the Meyerhof method in 1956 regarding the bearing capacity of deep foundations using NSP-T data and ETABS v18.1 application as an analysis of the superstructure. The results of this study found that the carrying capacity of single and group foundations with Meyerhof calculations with a foundation bearing capacity of 906.189 tons was able to support the maximum load of the superstructure of 647.637 tons after obtaining the addition of one floor and changing the steel roof structure to a concrete slab roof by using the roof as open areas and connections between buildings.
