Kecamatan Bangkala, Kabupaten Jeneponto di Sulawesi, memiliki potensi untuk lebih dikembangkan sebagai sentra penghasil garam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kondisi kualitas air dan garam (dengan Artemia dan tanpa Artemia), yang dilakukan melalui pengamatan pada Desember 2015 sampai Maret 2016. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi kualitas air (suhu, pH, salinitas, DO), dan kualitas garam (NaCl, Ca, Mg) dan kondisi garam. Berdasarkan pengamatan diketahui bahwa  kualitas air yang terdiri atas suhu, pH, salinitas, dan DO di tambak garam masing-masing adalah 30-36°C, 88-92‰, 7,1-7,9, dan 3,7-4,7 ppm. Kualitas garam di wilayah pengamatan memiliki kandungan rata-rata NaCl (83,30-95,6‰), Kalsium (Ca) (0,16-0,32‰), dan Magnesium (Mg) (0,12-0,28‰) yang secara umum tergolong sedang-baik.

Pola musim penangkapan dan kelimpahan ikan pelagis dipengaruhi oleh dinamika nilai klorofil-a dan suhu permukaan laut. Informasi pola musim penangkapan ikan dan hubungannya terhadap parameter oseanografi dapat membantu nelayan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi penangkapan. Oleh karenanya penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan pola musim penangkapan ikan pelagis di Perairan Palabuhanratu dan mengindentifikasi dinamika klorofil-a dan suhu permukaan laut serta hubungannya terhadap produksi perikanan pelagis. Data yang digunakan berupa data produksi perikanan pelagis tahun 2016-2020, dan data citra klorofil-a serta suhu permukaan laut. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode rata-rata bergerak dan korelasi pearson. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan musim penangkapan ikan cakalang, tongkol, tenggiri, dan layaran secara umum terjadi di musim timur. Terdapat hubungan yang erat antara produksi perikanan tongkol dan cakalang terhadap fluktuasi bulanan nilai suhu permukaan laut dan klorofil-a (p-value < 0,05). Kenaikan konsentrasi klorofil-a dan penurunan nilai suhu permukaan laut akan diikuti peningkatan produksi perikanan tongkol dan cakalang di perairan Palabuhanratu. Indeks korelasi ikan cakalang terhadap klorofil-a masuk pada kategori kuat (r = 0,697), sedangkan pada ikan tongkol masuk pada kategori sedang (r = 0,485). Indeks korelasi ikan cakalang dan tongkol terhadap suhu permukaan laut masuk pada kategori sedang (0,40 < r < 0,599).

PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN LAMPU ATRAKTOR CELUP TERHADAP HASIL TANGKAPAN JARING INSANG PERMUKAAN DI PERAIRAN SELAYAR

Prinsip pengoperasian jaring insang adalah menghadang arah ruaya ikan. Keberhasilannya sangat tergantung pada ketepatan pemasangan jaring. Salah satu solusi untuk memperbaiki metode penangkapan adalah menambahkan alat pengumpul ikan berupa lampu atraktor yang dicelupkan ke dalam perairan. Jenis lampu atraktor yang cocok adalah lampu light emitting diode (LED). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian adalah menentukan komposisi jenis ikan hasil tangkapan dan membuktikan bahwa penggunaan lampu atraktor celup akan meningkatkan jumlah ikan hasil tangkapan. Jaring insang permukaan yang digunakan sebanyak dua unit. Salah satu unit dilengkapi dengan lampu atraktor celup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lampu atraktor celup tidak mempengaruhi keragaman jenis ikan tangkapan. Kedua jaring insang menangkap 20 jenis ikan yang sama, yaitu lencam (Lethrinus obsoletus), tambak moncong (Lethrinus microdon), tambak belah (Lethrinus harak), ketambak (Lethrinus atkinsoni), jangki (Lethrinus ornatus), petek (Secutor indicius), cotek (Secutor insidiator), kakap ekor pelana (Lutjanus gibbus), kakap emas (Lutjanus johnii), belanak (Moolgarda perusii), gereh (Moolgarda seheli), baronang susu (Siganus canaliculatus), baronang kalung (Siganus virgatus), baronang angin (Siganus javus), baronang kunyit (Siganus puellus), baronang tompel (Siganus punctatus), kwee (Caranx tille), botana biru palsu (Acanthurus nigricauda), elak (Kyphosus vaigiensis), dan bandeng (Chanos chanos). Namun demikian, pemakaian lampu atraktor celup terbukti meningkatkan jumlah ikan hasil tangkapan jaring insang sebanyak 1.924 ekor, atau 74% lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan jaring insang tanpa lampu (1.108 ekor).

Rehabilitasi diperlukan untuk pemulihan dan penciptaan ekosistem mangrove di kawasan PLTU Banten 3 Lontar yang telah rusak dan menurun fungsinya menjadi stabil kembali. Keberhasilan program rehabilitasi dipengaruhi oleh strategi perencanaan rehabilitasi yang matang dengan memperhatikan parameter-parameter ekologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan tingkat kerusakan dan kesesuaian habitat untuk pembuatan rekomendasi strategi rehabilitasi ekosistem mangrove di kawasan PLTU Banten 3 Lontar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kawasan rehabilitasi mangrove PLTU Banten 3 Lontar pada bulan Januari 2020. Pengambilan data primer melalui observasi lapangan menggunakan pendekatan ekologi dan spasial diantaranya yaitu metode transek kuadran pada ekosistem mangrove, aspek kualitas air dengan sampling insitu dan analisis spasial untuk mengetahui kesesuaian habitat berbasis sistem informasi geografis. Mangrove di kawasan PLTU Banten 3 Lontar mengalami kerusakan pada tingkat rusak sedang dan rusak berat. Jenis mangrove yang ditemukan ada dua jenis yaitu Avicennia marina dan Rhizophora mucronata. Kawasan rehabilitasi mangrove di PLTU Banten 3 Lontar memiliki tipe pasut diurnal, substrat liat berpasir, kandungan C-organik berkisar 2-5 %, sebaran salinitas berkisar 30-32 ‰, dan sebaran pH berkisar 7,3-7,4. Kawasan PLTU Banten 3 Lontar memiliki habitat seluas 14.874 m2 yang tidak dapat langsung dilakukan rehabilitasi. Pengelolaan mangrove di kawasan PLTU Banten 3 Lontar direkomendasikan dengan empat strategi rehabilitasi diantaranya penyesuaian dan penyiapan kondisi habitat serta pengoptimalan aliran air.

Narrow barred Spanish mackerel and wolf herring is an important commodity that has commercialized intensively to fulfill the needs of the market, both domestic and export. Research has been conducted from June-August 2020 in Malacca Strait Waters. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamics of population parameters such as growth rate, mortality rate, exploitation rates, and recruitment patterns of narrow barred mackerel (Scomberomorus commerson) and wolf herring (Chirocentrus dorab). The sample size of spanish mackerel was taken at random from the purse seiner and gillnet catches. Data of size obtained were used for the analysis of population dynamics parameters. Some population dynamics parameters were estimated using the program FISAT II. Von Bertalanffy growth parameters of spanish mackerel were derived L and growth rate (K),for males 772.8 mm and 0.5/year and for females 979.65 mm and 1,7/year, and wolf herring was derived L and growth rate (K), for males 871.5 mm and 0.59/year and for females 1048.95 mm and 0.65/year, respectively. Total mortality (Z) of Spanish mackerel males and females was 0.61/year and 4.07/year and wolf herring males and females were 0.36/year and 1,3/year. Fishing mortality rate of Spanish mackerel (F) for males and females was 0,13/year and 3.07/year high than the natural mortality rate (M) 0.48/year and 1/year and the wolf herring fishing mortality rate for males and females was 0.16/year and 0.78/year lower than natural mortality rate (M) 0.52/year. Exploitation rate (E) of Spanish mackerel for males and females was 0.21/year and 0.75/year and wolf herring for males and females was 0.44/ year and 0,6/year, that almost full exploitation when compared with the optimum of 0.40. The recruitment pattern of Spanish mackerel for males was (14.59%) in June and for females was (26.84%) in August and wolf herring for males was (16.02) in June and for females was (28.63%) in July.

Analisis Korelasi Parameter Oseanografi Terhadap Hasil Tangkapan Jaring Purse Seine di Perairan Kranji, Kecamatan Paciran Kabupaten Lamongan

Kranji waters have potential fishing grounds for the development of large marine fisheries. Kranji fishermen often face obstacles in their fishing efforts due to a lack of information about the season and potential fishing areas. The oceanographic factor of the waters can be one of the clues to determining a good catch. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of the oceanographic parameters of the fishing area, determine the catch rate and determine the correlation of oceanographic parameters to the catch of ring trawlers. The data used in this study were temperature, salinity, depth, current velocity and catch for 10 fishing trips. Oceanographic parameters in the Kranji fishing area for 10 fishing trips were as follows: temperature ranged from 29.9- 31.8°C, water salinity ranged from 29-31.1‰, water depth ranges from 50-70 m and the current velocity ranges from 0.09to 0.34 m/s. The variability of ring trawl production during 10 times of capture found 5 species caught. The variability and composition of purse seine catches were as follows: Tongkol Walang with a percentage of 54.42%, Tongkol Lorek with a percentage of 38.13%, belo fish with a percentage of 6.37%, juwi with a percentage of 0.53%, and the lowest. the percentage is bagong by 0.52%. The correlation of oceanographic parameters with purse seine catches is as follows: Current velocity has the highest correlation value with a correlation coefficient of 0.814. The temperature has a strong category value with a correlation coefficient of 0.756. Salinity has a negative correlation value with a value of -0.658. Depth has a strong category value with a correlation coefficient value of 0.657.
