The purpose of this research is to know the language variations through Sociolingustics and ethnolinguistics studies in the English heritage and colonial building areas. The approach used in this research is qualitative. The strategy of in this research designed by combining the qualitative research design from Lincoln (2003) with the descriptive qualitative research design from Permadi (2013). The research results in the emergence of code-mixing and code-switching in society. There are several languages are spread in those cultural heritage, such as: Chinese, Melayu, Arabic, Bugis, Maduresse and Indonesia. While, Banyuwangi has Oseng Language.Thus, the conclusion that it is necessary to understand the potential of the language used in society. In this case, not only the text but its use in social and cultural contexts because language does not only depend on its social aspects in the sense of how language is used in social contexts and culture but then how language finally can be an additinaol potention to support colonial tourism destination in Banyuwangi. This study aims to investigate the application of the flipped classroom learning model to influence class-A students' English speaking skills in the English Literature Study Program at Pakuan University, Bogor. This research uses action research. Action research is included in the scope of applied research (applied research) that combines knowledge, research, and action. This type of research employs classroom action research with 30 students in class A during the odd semester of 2022/23 enrolled in Speaking III. The collection of data was conducted with the use of speaking tests and observation sheets. Analyzing the data, an average score of 83% of students who had problems with speaking because they did not reach the passing standard value established in the lecture contract, and only 17% of students who were able to achieve the passing grade standard were obtained in the pre-action phase. The cycle I graduation rate increased to 46%; in cycle II, 100% of students achieved the standard passing score. The results of this study indicate that the flipped classroom learning model can influence students' English speaking skills. This study aims to describe the preposition of the various convention languages in the text of Pasambahan Manjapuik Marapulai (hereinafter abbreviated as TPMM) in Solok City, West Sumatera. TPMM is one of a series of marriage ceremonies carried out according to Minangkabau custom in Solok City. The method in this study uses a qualitative descriptive method with the object of study in the form of prepositions in TPMM. The research data is in the form of sentences containing prepositional phrases contained in the TPMM. For data collection, the listening method was used with note-taking techniques. Furthermore, to analyze the data, the distribution method was used with the direct element division technique as a basic technique and an advanced technique in the form of marking reading techniques. The results of the research show that the prepositional forms found are the basic prepositions and the derived forms in the form of combined prepositions of type the meaning found is the place of being, the place of origin, the place of destination, origin, a certain place, comparison, and inclusion.

This study examines the public's assessment of an Islamic blasphemy case named M. Kece on Twitter. It is a qualitative descriptive study. The data is a public assessment regarding the Islamic blasphemy case named M. Kece on Twitter using Appraisal Theory (Martin & White, 2005). Focusing on Attitudinal Analysis, the result shows the Attitudinal Analysis in social media, precisely Twitter, on the alleged Islamic blasphemy of M. Kece. Judgment is the most dominant, with as much as 54% over Affect (19%) and Appreciation (27%). In all three, more than three fourth of the data are negative. This dominant negative appraisal of netizens of Twitter users shows the public's assessment of what M. Kece has done, namely the content of his YouTube channel, which was reported and imprisoned due to a blasphemy case. This study affirmed that all content creators must be careful about the content they post. On the other hand, the viewer also must be selective about the content they access on social media not to be misleading. AbstrakStudi ini mengkaji penilaian publik terhadap kasus penistaan agama Islam bernama M. Kece di Twitter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah penilaian publik terkait kasus penistaan agama Islam bernama M. Kece di Twitter dengan menggunakan Appraisal Theory (Martin & White, 2005). Berfokus pada Analisis Sikap, hasilnya menunjukkan Analisis Sikap di media sosial, tepatnya Twitter, tentang dugaan penistaan agama Islam terhadap M. Kece. Afeksi adalah yang paling dominan, dengan sebanyak 54% di atas judgment (19%) dan Apresiasi (27%). Dari ketiga kategori ini, lebih dari tiga perempat data merupakan penialaian negatif. Dominasi penilaian netizen pengguna Twitter ini menunjukkan penilaian mereka terhadap apa yang telah dilakukan M. Kece on Twitter. It is a qualitative descriptive study. The data is a public assessment regarding the Islamic blasphemy case named M. Kece on Twitter using Appraisal Theory (Martin & White, 2005). Focusing on Attitudinal Analysis, the result shows the Attitudinal Analysis in social media, precisely Twitter, on the alleged Islamic blasphemy of M. Kece. Judgment is the most dominant, with as much as 54% over Affect (19%) and Appreciation (27%). In all three, more than three fourth of the data are negative. This dominant negative appraisal of netizens of Twitter users shows the public's assessment of what M. Kece has done, namely the content of his YouTube channel, which was reported and imprisoned due to a blasphemy case. This study affirmed that all content creators must be careful about the content they post. On the other hand, the viewer also must be selective about the content they access on social media not to be misleading. AbstrakStudi ini mengkaji penilaian publik terhadap kasus penistaan agama Islam bernama M. Kece di Twitter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah penilaian publik terkait kasus penistaan agama Islam bernama M. Kece di Twitter dengan menggunakan Appraisal Theory (Martin & White, 2005). Berfokus pada Analisis Sikap, hasilnya menunjukkan Analisis Sikap di media sosial, tepatnya Twitter, tentang dugaan penistaan agama Islam terhadap M. Kece. Afeksi adalah yang paling dominan, dengan sebanyak 54% di atas judgment (19%) dan Apresiasi (27%). Dari ketiga kategori ini, lebih dari tiga perempat data merupakan penialaian negatif. Dominasi penilaian netizen pengguna Twitter ini menunjukkan penilaian mereka terhadap apa yang telah dilakukan M. Kece, yaitu konten channel YouTube-nya yang dilaporkan dan dipenjara akibat kasus penistaan agama.
