This research aims to describe the significant relationship between appreciative reading skills and the ability to write short stories for seventh grade students of junior high school. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational methods. The data obtained in this study were in the form of scores on the results of measurements on appreciative reading skills and scores on the results of measurements on students' ability to write short story texts. The populations in this study were all class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang, totaling 254 students. The sampling technique used is a simple random technique. In this study, class VII C was chosen as the research sample because this class is a normal and homogeneous class. The numbers of samples in this study were 30 students. The data in this study were analyzed using a simple correlation test intended to test the research hypothesis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between appreciative reading skills and the ability to write short stories for class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This can be seen from the results of tcount>ttable or 5.49>1.70.

This study aims to describe the implementation of project-based learning of Indonesian Literary History during the pandemic. This study uses quantitative-experimental research methods to be able to explore how effective this method is if implemented within the scope of learning. This method provides opportunities for lecturers to manage learning in class by involving project work. In this course, there are three work projects applied, namely: (1) students make infographics in groups which will be presented every meeting; (2) students make a book chapter which will later at the end of the semester be made into a book; and finally (3) students make a scientific publication in the form of journal articles which later must be submitted to national journals. The object of this research is a 2nd semester student of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. So, it can be concluded that the project method applied in learning literary history in the Modern Indonesian Literature History course Semester 2 of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta is an effective learning method applied during a pandemic.

This study aims to describe the poetry writing skills of grade X students. MA Darul Hikmah Temon Sawoo Ponorogo by utilizing brainwriting techniques and contextual approaches. Research data collection was carried out by interviews, observations, and tests. The data analysis method of this study is comparative descriptive analysis. Triangulation of data collection methods is the data validity technique used. Accuracy of theme and meaning, style, diction, and rhyme. All four aspects of poetry writing showed improved results. The grade point average before the study was 68, meeting the minimum completeness requirement of 75. The average value in cycle I is 75. A total of 15 students or 56% have met the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). However, it has not met the target of 75% of students or 19 students scoring above KKM, so the percentage does not meet the achievement indicators. The average score of writing student poetry increased to 84% in Cycle II. Eighty-four percent of the 26 students had achieved minimum mastery scores. It can be concluded that the goal of achieving a minimum completion score of 75% of students can be achieved. As a result, Class X students of MA Darul Hikmah Temon Sawoo Ponorogo can improve their poetry writing skills by utilizing brainwriting strategies and Contextual Approaches.

This study aims to explain the form of assertive and directive speech in the novel "Tak Putus Dirundung Malang" by S. Destiny Alisjahbana, as well as to understand the meaning of each speech in the form of writing, especially in novels. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a pragmatic approach. This research data is the speech of the characters in the novel "Tak Putus Dirundung Malang" by S. Destiny Alisjahbana. Then the collected data is analyzed based on the theoretical studies that have been obtained. From the results of the analysis, seven forms of assertive speech acts and seven forms of directive speech acts were obtained. Forms of assertive speech acts that have been found, namely assertive speech acts stating (8 quotes), bragging (3 quotes), complaining (7 quotes), expressing (8 quotes), expressing opinions (12 quotes), mentioning (2 quotes), and reporting (4 quotes). The forms of directive speech acts found, namely prohibitive directive speech acts (17 citations), commanding (20 citations), begging (4 citations), demanding (4 citations), advising (13 citations), advising (13 citations), suggesting (21 citations), and opposing (3 citations). So, it can be concluded that this novel contains many directive speech acts, especially in the form of speech that has the intention of suggesting and commanding.

This study aims to explain the nature and character of the Holy Prophetsa as narrated in the series Children's Books Exemplifying the Nature and Character of the Prophet published by Ziyadbooks. This research method is carried out with a qualitative approach by applying the content analysis method. The results of the analysis show that to achieve the purpose of conveying the nature and character of the Holy Prophetsa to children, the narrative used in this book is in the form of short and simple sentences. The form of narration used to explain the nature and character of the Holy Prophet in this book is in the form of descriptive and dialogue. Based on this, it can be concluded that the age and cognitive development of children as readers are the main considerations in the selection of vocabulary and sentence construction used in this book.

Prestasi belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh minat baca. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan minat baca siswa di tingkatan SMA atau sederajat di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 56 siswa dengan rincian 25 siswa jurusan IPA di SMAN 4 Bangkalan dan 31 siswa jurusan TKJ di SMKN 3 Bangkalan. Instrumen minat baca menggunakan angket minat baca yang terdiri dari aspek kesenangan membaca, aspek perhatian terhadap membaca, aspek kesadaran akan manfaat membaca, dan aspek frekuensi membaca. Instrumen angket minat baca termasuk dalam kategori valid dengan nilai reliabilitas Cronbach Alpha = 0,938, termasuk dalam kategori reliabel. Angket minat baca dianalisis menjadi tiga kategori yaitu rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Analisis data hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan dengan SPSS Versi 18. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa minat baca di tingkat sekolah menengah atas atau sederajat termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Aspek minat baca yang masih dalam kategori rendah adalah aspek kesenangan membaca, aspek perhatian terhadap membaca, dan aspek frekuensi membaca, sedangkan aspek kesadaran manfaat membaca yaitu mayoritas siswa termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

Tuturan guru mendominasi dalam kegiatan interaktif dengan siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Untuk mewujudkan pembelajaran yang komunikatif dan interaktif, guru mematuhi maksim kuantitas yang dikemukakan oleh Grice, yaitu berbicara sesingkat dan sejelas mungkin agar informasi yang disampaikan dapat dipahami dengan mudah. Artikel ini membahas bagaimana mematuhi maksim kuantitas Grice dalam tuturan guru. Sumber Data penelitian ini adalah tuturaan guru Bahasa Indonesia di MI Al Adnani. Adapun data yang digunakan adalah tuturan guru yang mengandung pentaatan maxim kuantitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif dimana data dikumpulkan melalui metode dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode interaktif. Pengumpulan data dengan cara merekam semua kegitan aktifitas guru Bahasa Indonesia di MI Al-adnani kemudian data tersebut dittranskip dan klasisfikasikan berdasarn kategori teori grice dan dikelompokkan berdasarkan pola yang sama.Hasil penelitian ini adalah pola-pola kalimat yang digunakan guru ketika berbicara dan menjelaskan mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia. Pola kalimat pada saat mentaati maksim kuantitas dalam tuturan guru digunakan dalam beberapa kategori; yaitu, 1) Permintaan "memohon", 2) Permintaan "Berdoa"; 3) Permintaan Bertanya; 4) Pertanyaan "tanyakan"; 5) Soal “menyelidiki”, dan 6) Larangan “Melarang”. Tujuan jangka panjang penelitian ini adalah mempolakan interaksi yang yang efektif yang digunakan guru.

Umi Lestari, 2022. Moral values of novel Novel Khadijah : Rahasia Mim Tersingkap by Sibel Eraslan. This recearch aims to get moral values from novel Khadijah : Rahasia Mim Tersingkap written by Sibel Eraslan.The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data resours used is Novel Khadijah : Rahasia Mim Tersingkap by Sibel Eraslan. The insrument of getting data si the researher and the technique is document from Novel Khadijah : Rahasia Mim Tersingkap by Sibel Eraslan. The techique of data analysis is examine the whole documents.The result of this research is to find out the moral values fron Novel Khadijah : Rahasia Mim Tersingkap by Sibel Eraslan relates to the relations between human and other people and nature. The moral values found are generous, or helpful, affection, keep friendship, empathy, respect to parents, work together, respect to guesst, politeness, empathy , conference, and relation to nature.

Pikiran merupakan suatu hal yang penting bagi manusia. Sepanjang sejarah, manusia telah berupaya memahami pikirannya sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pemahaman masyarakat Indonesia, dalam bahasa Indonesia, terhadap PIKIRAN. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metafora Konseptual yang diajukan oleh Lakoff dan Johnson. Data diambil dengan memungut data dari Twitter dengan kata kunci ”pikiran”. Penelitian ini bahwa, dalam bahasa Indonesia, PIKIRAN dipahami sebagai RUANG. Selain itu, terdapat pula pemahaman bahwa PIKIRAN YANG BAIK MELUAS; PIKIRAN YANG BURUK MENYEMPIT dan PIKIRAN YANG HATI-HATI MEMANJANG; PIKIRAN YANG TIDAK HATI-HATI MEMENDEK. PIKIRAN ADALAH RUANG merupakan metafora konseptual yang fundamental, diikuti dengan PIKIRAN YANG BAIK MELUAS; PIKIRAN YANG BURUK MENYEMPIT. Sedangkan, PIKIRAN YANG HATI-HATI MEMANJANG; PIKIRAN YANG TIDAK HATI-HATI MEMENDEK merupakan pemahaman pada konteks tertentu.

Penelitian ini mengkaji konflik batin tokoh Kartika yang taerdapat pada naskah drama berjudul Kartini Berdarah (2008) karya Amanatia J. S. Permasalahan dalam naskah drama tersebut dilatari oleh pemberontakan batin oleh tokoh Kartika atas penyalahgunaan kebebasan kaum perempuan yang tlah dimerdekakan oleh Kartini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Data penelitian diperoleh dari teknik simak catat dan membaca secara berulang-ulang, mengidentifikasi, mencatat atau memberi tanda, menyeleksi data yang ditemukan, dan memasukkan data yang sesuai dengan tema penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Cara berfikir tokoh Kartika pada naskah drama Kartini Berdarah karya Amanatia Junda S. dapat dilihat dari faktor yang memengaruhi kehidupan tokoh, (2) Sikap atau tindakan tokoh Kartika pada naskah drama Kartini Berdarah karya Amanatia Junda S. dapat dilihat dari faktor yang memengaruhi kehidupan tokoh. Penelitian ini sangat penting bagi masyarakat untuk memberikan gambaran dan menyampaikan pesan yang tersirat dalam naskah mengenai mirisnya perjuangan R.A Kartini yang disalahgunakan oleh kaum perempuan saat ini.
