Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sosiologi sastra yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan memahami esensi relegiusitas dalam kumpulan cerpen Tersangka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan metode deskiptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kumpulan cerpen Tersangka karya Syukur A.Mirhan dan El Navisa. Data diperoleh dengan teknik lihat, baca dan catat. Untuk menganalisis data, digunakan teknik analisis isi yang meliputi tahapan identifikasi data, klasifikasi data, dan interpretasi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan esensi religiusitas yang meliputi lima dimensi religius. Pertama dimensi keyakinan berupa keyakinan kepada Allah, keihlasan dan percaya takdir. Kedua, dimensi praktik agama yaitu berkaitan tentang peribadatan, membaca Al-Quran, dan melakukan kegiatan keagamaan. Ketiga dimensi pengalaman berkaitan dengan perasaan tentang kehadiran Allah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dan sikap sabar. Ke empat, dimensi pengetahuan agama berkaitan tentang informasi keagamaan. Ke lima dimensi pengamalan yang berisi tentang sikap saling menghormati, menjaga amanat dan tolong-menolong.Kata kunci: esensi relegiusitas; kumpulan cerpen Tersangka; sosiologi sastraThe Essence of Religiousity in the Suspect’s Short Story Collection AbstractThis research is a sociological study of literature that aims to describe and understand the essence of religiosity in the collection of short stories of the suspect. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The source of data in this research is a collection of short stories Tersangka by Syukur A.Mirhan and El Navisa. The data was obtained by looking, reading and taking notes. To analyze the data, content analysis techniques were used which included the stages of data identification, data classification, and data interpretation. Based on the results of the study found the essence of religiosity which includes five religious dimensions. The second dimension of religious practice which is related to worship, reading the Koran, and carrying out religious activities. The third dimension of experience is related to feelings about God's presence in everyday life, and an attitude of patience. The four dimensions of religious knowledge relate to religious information. The purpose of this research is to see how pair work affects students' descriptive text writing skills. A quantitative research design was adopted in this study. It was a quasi-experimental study using a pret-test and post-test control design. The participants in the study were junior high school students in grades VIII F and VIII G in Madiun, East Java, Indonesia. There were 26 students in grades VIII F and 26 students in grades VIII G. There are 52 students in total. Giving the students a writing test was used to collect data. The descriptive writing test was employed as the instrument. The students were categorized into two groups: the control group and the experimental group. The data was analyzed using an independent t-test in SPSS version 16. The result of this research shows that pair work attests significant difference on the means score of the students’ writing skill on descriptive text for junior high school. Based on the score of the test, the significance value of t-test for equality of means is 0,000. It is less than α =0, 05 (0,000 < 0, 05). Then, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. It means that there is significant difference on the students’ writing means score in descriptive text after using pair work. Based on the findings, it can be stated that adopting pair work to improve students' descriptive text writing skills in junior high school is successful. Furthermore, pair work allows students to interact with their partners about the issue, gather knowledge, and correct their written content collaboratively. As a result, the teacher must be able to maintain control over the class in order for learning activities to perform efficiently. In the future, researchers are encouraged to do a study on pair work, particularly with eighth-grade junior high school students who are taught to a variety of text types.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pandangan remaja tionghoa terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa dialek Teochew. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif yang menggunakan instrumen berupa kuisioner. Hasil analisis kuisioner menunjukkan bahwa sikap dan presepsi anak remaja tionghoa Teochew terhadap pembelajaran bahasa dialek Teochew cenderung positif baik pada komponen pengetahuan (kognitif) maupun emosional (afektif). Dalam hal ini bahasa dialek Teochew masih dianggap penting untuk dilestarikan dan diminati untuk dipelajari oleh anak remaja tionghoa di Pontianak. Mereka merasa bangga menguasai bahasa dialek Teochew karena bahasa dialek Teochew dapat melambangkan identitas dirinya sebagai suku tionghoa yang berbahasa Teochew. Dari komponen konatif dapat di simpulkan bahwa sikap remaja tionghoa terhadap pembelajaran bahasa dialek Teochew positif, mereka lancar dalam berbahasa dialek Teochew, dan tidak akan mengurangi penggunaan bahasa dialek Teochew.

It is critical to know and memorize the vocabulary of a foreign language if one wishes to learn it, and repetition is necessary to aid in the retention of new knowledge. This paper investigated primary school students’ perception of gamification on vocabulary learning with 32 participants divided into two groups: Primary 1 and Primary 2. The research purpose on perception using Marbel for primary students and conducted with quantitative method. The results of this research show that gamification can improve students’ vocabulary size with majority of students’ feedback saying that they preferred Marbel than worksheet to learn vocabulary. At the same time, students were learning through their failures throughout the gameplay, they were encouraged to memorize the words. This will help students grow into independent and competent learners.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tutur direktif dalam pembelajaran daring di prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalaam penelitian adalah tuturan guru dalam pembelajaran daring di program studi pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan guru yang mengandung tindak tutur direktif yang berupa kata-kata yang dituturkan secara langsung oleh pengajar saat proses pembelajaran. Pada peneitian ini teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik sadap dan teknik catat analisis. The development of appropriate teaching materials not only needs to be adjusted to the latest curriculum but also to the needs of the parties involved in learning. One of the parties involved is the learner. The needs of learners in the learning process must be known in order to develop appropriate teaching materials. This study is intended to map the needs of learners in the Seminar on ELT class as a first step to develop appropriate teaching materials by considering the different characteristics of students through the perspective of their epistemological beliefs. The participants involved in this study were 102 students who had attended the Seminar on ELT class. The result showed that majority of Seminar on ELT students (95%) are having sophisticated epistemic beliefs which we can describe them as the students that believe the knowledge is always changing or tentative, learning can be done individually by everyone, their knowledge of English did not come from authority, but through reason or logic experiences. They also believe that everyone can learn English from the beginning, no matter what age, or even their background. They agree on process-oriented learning. They also tend to have high motivation to learn English regardless of whether the motivation is extrinsic or intrinsic motivation. With this finding, we can finally understand the characteristics of the Seminar on ELT students as an initial step to develop an appropriate course material. The article explains about the representation of maritime-metaphors of Lamaholot Language of Bahinga Community in Increasing the values of educational character. The aims of this article are to find the kinds of maritime-metaphor and to find the representation of those metaphors in building the students’ characters. Research approaches in this article is descriptive qualitative. The data retrieved by using observation and interview as main data and secondary data is taken from the thesis. The results show that there are nine maritime-metaphors of Lamaholot Language of Bahinga Community can be used in increasing the values of educational character.

This article describes the diversity of languages formed by the development of society in various aspects of life which includes various social activities, such as trade, government, health, education, and religion. The variety of languages has functions such as the variety of languages used by fish sellers in Oka market, Lamawalang, Larantuka District, East Flores Regency which grows and develops especially among speakers of the fish seller community. This variety of languages can be found when fish sellers offer their fish to buyers where there is language contact, between Indonesian and local languages. The functions of various languages used by fish sellers in the Oka Lamawalang market, Larantuka District, East Flores Regency with the Oka Lamawalang dialect include (1) instrumental (directive) functions, such as seducing, convincing, and asking, (2) interactional or interaction functions, such as asking , forms of interaction in the form of rejection and forms of agreement interaction, (3) representational or representational (declarative) functions such as showing and expressing, (4) personal functions, such as joy and disappointment.

The variety of languages has functions such as the variety of languages used by fish sellers in Oka market, Lamawalang, Larantuka District, East Flores Regency which grows and develops especially among speakers of the fish seller community. This variety of languages can be found when fish sellers offer their fish to buyers where there is language contact, between Indonesian and local languages. This research is intended to develop a web-based learning application “Mahir Berbahasa” to support the learning process of BIPA students at IKIP Budi Utomo. The software used in the development of this application is the Codeigniter and Bootstrap Framework. It is hoped that this application will become a student learning medium that can make it easier for foreign students to continue studying wherever they are. This type of research is R&D development research. The development model used is the development of Borg and Gall. The results of this research development product in the form of "Mahir Berbahasa" learning applications have been tested and have received good ratings from users and validators. The assessment includes aspects of visual appearance, aspects of media relevance, aspects of material organization, aspects of software engineering, aspects of effects for learning strategies, and aspects of language. From a value range of 1-5, the user gives a mean value of 4.72, while the validator gives a value of 4.52. Based on this assessment, this learning application is in the category of feasible to use.

This article aims to describe the exploration of NTT's culture in the novels by Gerson Poyk as one of the national writers, Angkatan `66. This NTT-born author writes novel literary works by raising cultural traditions as a characteristic, the identity of the NTT people, cultural traditions with the values contained in them that are lived and preserved, although some have begun to disappear by the influence of modern culture. The uniqueness of Gerson Poyk is that he is able to raise the cultural background of NTT with its vast territory into his novels with a straightforward, expressive, and high aesthetic style of expression. Not only limited to cultural traditions but tourism development, agricultural cultivation, commercial crops, livestock, fisheries, handicrafts. Through a number of his novels, Gerson Poyk explores the culture that exists in the life of the people of NTT which can be used as a character of Indonesian culture. This research uses the theoretical basis of sociology of literature with the emphasis that the novel is actually a form of socio-historical embodiment, where novels can witness paintings of social and social reality. history, into a genre that is close to social phenomena. Using qualitative research methods in literature studies can describe, understand, and explain the exploration of NTT culture in the novel by Gerson Poyk.
