A simple passive scheme for increasing operation pulse-number to obtain high-quality input current waveform of three-phase diode rectifier is investigated in this paper. The topology and operation principle are described. Then, the performance is evaluated by means of a 20 kW setup. By referring to the evaluations result, the advantages in practical use of the rectifier are shown.

Evaluation of a D-Q-0 Frame Average Model for Multiple Single-Phase PFC Converters 用于多个单相PFC变换器的D-Q-0帧平均模型的评估

This paper presents a d-q-0 frame average model for multiple single-phase power-factor-correction (PFC) converters. The model is based on a three-phase four-wire load of equivalent per-phase PFC converters, characterized using an extended PWM switch model in order to eliminate the passive diode rectifying stage, thus extending the validity region of the proposed model to half of the switching frequency. The paper presents the complete derivation of the model, as well as a thorough evaluation in the time and frequency domains using simulations and quasi-stationary small-signal analysis. The results obtained show the effectiveness of the proposed model to perform direct d-q-0 frame simulations of multiple single-phase PFC converters, as well its capability to predict dynamic interactions - under balanced and unbalanced conditions - between filtering stages and the PFC converters.

Accuracy Improvement of IPMSM Sensorless Drives with On-line Parameter Identification 在线参数辨识提高IPMSM无传感器驱动精度

This paper proposes a position sensorless drive system combined with on-line parameter identification for an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor. The accuracy of the position estimation can be improved by the proposed system, in which the motor parameters used for the position estimation are identified according to the operating conditions. First, the influence of the parameter error on the estimation position error is examined from the simulation and experimental results. Next, the characteristics of the sensorless drive system and the performance of parameter identification are shown. The experimental results show that the proposed system can achieve more accurate position estimation than the drive system without the parameter identification for all operating conditions.

A Practical Model and a New Transient Performance Measurement of Capacitors for VR Applications 一种实用的虚拟现实电容器模型及一种新的暂态性能测量方法

This paper presents more exact model and practical measurement method of capacitors for voltage regulator (VR) applications. A simple two-stage RC ladder model of the capacitor is introduced and each parameter is extracted in a time domain measurement by employing a large dc discharge current with high current slew rate during switching. Based on the equivalent ladder model, the capacitance and equivalent series resistance of the capacitor are evaluated as a function of time. Furthermore, simulated results of the transient voltages of the buck converter for large step change of the load current are compared both to proposed model and conventional three components one.

Improvement Effect of Input Current Waveform of a Soft Switching Boost Type Three-Phase Diode Rectifier 软开关升压型三相二极管整流器输入电流波形的改进效果

We propose a boost type three-phase diode rectifier with a current resonant switch to realize soft switching and reduce switching loss. From the simulation results of the proposed circuit, the circuit can decrease the THD of the input current compared with the hard switching circuit without the resonant switch. In the soft switching circuit, the DC short circuit occurs more easily and frequently because of the resonant operation. The DC short circuit starts after the switch turns off, and the diode bridge input current in the switch off period is decreased. Then the diode bridge input current in the switch on period increases relatively when the DC short circuit occurs. Therefore the soft switching circuit improves the input current waveform and it becomes sinusoidal. We analyzed and clarified the process and the reason for the input current waveform improvement in the soft switching circuit.

A Speed Sensorless Induction Motor Control Method using Adaptive Flux Observer Improving Stability Around Zero Frequency 基于自适应磁链观测器的无速度传感器异步电机零频稳定控制方法

Authors have proposed the speed sensorless vector control method that can stabilize the speed estimator in regeneration region as well as in powering operation. However, actual experimental results showed there were problems when it is driven at unloaded or around zero frequency with heavy load. In this paper observer gains are reviewed and modified with considering the phase condition which they must satisfy. Finally, the proposed observer gain scheduling method is confirmed its effectiveness and performance with experiments.

Design of a Current Regulator with Extended Bandwidth for Servo Motor Drive 伺服电机驱动扩展带宽电流调节器的设计

To increase the productivity of the manufacturing process, the high bandwidth of the current regulation should be achieved. The bandwidth of the current regulator is dependent on the switching frequency and digital delay. The limited switching frequency is inevitable to reduce the switching loss due to excessive switching frequency. Also, the digital delay is inherent problem where the Digital Signal Processor (microcontroller) and PWM are used. This paper proposes the novel current regulation strategy to enhance the performance of the current regulation by reducing the digital delay which is the sum of the execution time and PWM delay and modifying the voltage reference. The proposed strategy is robust to the parameter and reference variation. Experimental results are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Robust Current Controller for IPMSM High Speed Sensorless Drives 用于IPMSM高速无传感器驱动器的鲁棒电流控制器

This paper proposes a new current controller for high speed drives of IPMSM position sensorless control. It has been pointed out that the conventional current control system with low performance design becomes unstable under high speed region. First, this paper shows that position estimation error cause unstable phenomenon, and this instability is especially emphasized under high speed region. To overcome this instability, simply modified controller with 2DOF structure is proposed in this paper. Stability using the proposed current controller is then analyzed theoretically, and the proposed controller can enlarge robust stable region for IPMSM position sensorless control, and some experimental results show that the proposed controller is superior to that using conventional one.

Multirate Perfect Tracking Control of Single-phase Inverter with Inter Sampling for Arbitrary Waveform 任意波形间采样单相逆变器的多速率完美跟踪控制

In this paper, multirate perfect tracking control is proposed for a single-phase inverter. Although conventional single-rate deadbeat control could not guarantee zero tracking error for arbitrary reference signals, the proposed multirate control can achieve perfect tracking at every sampling point. Feedback characteristic is enhanced by inter sampling technique. Simulations and experiments are carried out to compare the proposed method with a single-rate deadbeat controller for non-sinusoidal reference waveform. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a nonlinear rectifier load.

Analysis of a Fuel Starvation Phenomenon of a PEM Fuel Cell PEM燃料电池燃料短缺现象的分析

This paper presents the characteristics of a PEM fuel cell, especially a fuel (hydrogen and oxygen) starvation problem. This phenomenon is an original demonstration in the domain of fuel cell research. Naturally, a fuel cell power source is always connected with a power electronic converter (power conditioning circuit) to boost a low dc voltage to a higher utility level. Therefore, to present fuel cell characteristics, a fuel cell power conditioning circuit (classical boost converter) is designed and implemented in the GREEN/INPL laboratory. The studied PEM fuel cell is 500 W, 40 A, around 13 V, designed and manufactured by the ZSW Company. Experimental results authenticate the fuel cell characteristics when the fuel cell power source is operated with a power electronic converter at a switching frequency of 25 kHz. The high switching frequency and significant step load (fuel starvation effect) to the fuel cell voltage and current are clearly illustrated.
