Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman fonetik yang merujuk pada pelafalan bunyi bahasa, intonasi, dan pengaruh dialek bahasa daerah terhadap pelafalan siswa kelas 1-6 SD melalui teknik membaca bersuara. Masalah penelitian adalah terdapat ketidaktepatan pelafalan bunyi bahasa dan intonasi saat membaca pada siswa sekolah dasar khususnya pada siswa kelas awal. Untuk memecahkan masalah dan tujuan penelitian digunakan metode kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa (1) pelafalan bunyi vokoid, kontoid dan semi vokoid pada siswa kelas 1-6 SD belum sempurna. (2) Terdapat ketidaktepatan intonasi saat membaca. Ketidaktepatan dalam berintonasi dialami oleh siswa kelas 1-2 SD. Siswa kelas 1-2 SD belum memahami intonasi sehingga siswa cenderung membaca dengan nada datar. (3) Pemahaman intonasi pada kelas 3-6 SD sudah mulai berkembang, walaupun intonasi yang dihasilkan belum sepenuhnya sempurna.(4)Tedapat pengaruh dialek bahasa daerah terhadap pelafalan bunyi bahasa dan intonasi pada siswa kelas 1 SD. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman fonetik siswa sekolah dasar belum sempurna layaknya orang dewasa.

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan struktur semantis predikat mental BM pada subkategori verba sebagai subjek pengalam dan verba sebagai objek pengalam. Adapun yang melatar belakangi penulisan ini mengingat bahwa predikat mental atau verba psikologi termasuk verba yang memiliki pemetaan komponen semantis yang sangat rumit dan membutuhkan strategi yang tepat untuk menghindari kekeliruan dalam membatasi makna butir leksikal yang dianalisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa verba mental yang bersumber dari Bahasa Mandailing (BM). Kemudian data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik prafrase untuk mengidentifikasi butir-butir leksikal yang secara intuitif termasuk predikat mental. This study examines the use of interrogative sentences in trials at the Banda Aceh District Court. The trial in principle is an activity to obtain and prove the information being tried. Therefore, the judge as the person in charge of examining and adjudicating cases uses question sentences to obtain information as clearly as possible. The results of this study conclude that the types of question sentences contained in the trials at the Banda Aceh District Court are, partial sentences, total sentences, rhetorical sentences, and subtle sentences. Furthermore, the question sentence function is a representative and directive function.

This study discusses the reconstruction of eco-etimon culinary culture in the Malay community of Tanjung Pura. The aim of this study was to find out the eco-etymon reconstruction of culture in spicy pulp ingredients, their lingual forms and proto reconstruction of the spicy pulp ingredients. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data of this study are words contained in the spicy porridge ingredients of Tanjung Pura Malay community, as well as data obtained from interviews. Then some lexicon of spicy porridge from Karo, and Aceh. Data is collected by note-taking technique, which is to record ingredients from spicy porridge and interviews with informants around the data source. The data analysis technique in this study was carried out by collecting lexicons of spicy pulp, reconstructing the lexicon and the function of spicy pulp, interviewing informants about the existence of the lexicon. Then compare the pattern of sound changes (reconstruction implications) of several lexicons in spicy porridge ingredients. The results of the analysis indicate that the encoding of spicy porridge ingredients by Tanjungpura Malay ancestors in the form of lexicalisation and grammaticalisation is included in compound words and expression metaphors. The reconstruction of language forms and functions of spicy porridge ingredients. BA, BK, and BM have reconstruction based on the type of sound change.

AbstrakThe research aims to describe the result of needing, development, evaluation of validation, and describes the potential effects of teaching materials of writing poetry of seventh graders of SMP N 1 Pagarlam. The research was developmentt research. Validation conducted of realibility of the materials, presentation, linguistic, and chart using 5. The research subject were seventh graders of expert validation, the teaching materials of writing poetry can be categorized validity for use. The result of writing poetry test of heroism showed increasing from 59.09 to 80.95. and 21 difference while, the result of writing poetry test of friensdship showed increasing from 56.68 to 76.54 and 19.86 difference. This, teaching material of writing poetry the development outcome of researcher can improve student’s understanding of writing poetry.AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil kebutuhan, pengembangan, evaluasi dari validasi, dan mendeskripsikan efek potensial bahan ajar menulis puisi siswa kelas Vll SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam. Dengan demikian, bahan ajar menulis puisi hasil pengembangan peneliti dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap menulis puisi.

This study aims to describe the portrait of poverty that exist in a collection of short stories the Tawa Gadis Padang Sampah by Ahmad Tohari. The method of this research is qualitative desktiptif method with the study of the sociology of literature. The source of the data in this study is a collection of short stories the Tawa Gadis Padang Sampah by Ahmad Tohari, book the theory of sociology of literature and related journals. The data in this research in the form of sentences that indicate problems in research. Data collection techniques in the study is the analysis of the techniques document. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis techniques (interactive model of analysis). The results showed that the portrait of poverty in a collection of short stories the Tawa Gadis Padang Sampah by Ahmad Tohari is shown by the residence or the place of residence, employment or profession of a character who was involved the tevye, consumption or food, until the purchasing power of the character, as well as the role of a character in the short story.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh peran ganda perempuan yang harus pintar membagi waktu antara keluarga dan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Temuan hasil penelitian terungkap bahwa : 1. Gambaran umum peran ganda pada perempuan yaitu peran sebagai ibu rumah tangga. 2. Kendala yang dirasakan perempuan dalam menjalankan semua perannya berasal dari internal dan eksternal. Kendala internal yaitu lelah fisik, lelah mental. dan kendala eksternal yaitu adanya keterbatasan waktu. 3. Dampak yang terjadi dalam menjalankan peran gandanya berdampak positif dan negatif. Dampak positif nya bisa membantu perekonimian keluarga adanya kerja sama antara ibu dan anak dalam menyelesaikan tugas rumah.kata kunci : peran ganda perempuan, kehidupan keluarga.

This present, study focuses on the teacher talk in teaching writing which conducted in a eleventh grade classroom of SMK Swasta Teladan Medan and to describe how the categories teacher talk affect the students’ learning process during the teaching writing to the eleventh grade of SMK Swasta Teladan Medan. In this research, the FLINT is used to identify the categories of teacher talk occur during the learning process. Moreover, this study is conducted on the form of descriptive qualitative research where the researcher as the non-participant observer on the classroom. The subject of this study is a vocational high school English teacher and the eleventh graders of SMK Swasta Teladan Medan. From the data that has been taken, it is obtained that the categories of teacher talk used by the teacher in teaching writing interaction in the eleventh grader of SMK Swasta Teladan Medan are deals with feeling, praises or encourages, jokes, uses ideas of students, repeats students response verbatim, asks question, gives information, corrects without rejection, gives direction, and criticizes student behavior. More over the categories of teacher talk used also have been proven to help the students understand better about the subject and elicit students’ contribution during the learning process. In conclusion, the researcher has found that the teacher who teaches writing in an eleventh grade classroom of SMK Swasta Teladan Medan has performed some categories of the teacher talk from FLINT.
