Wisran Hadi is known as a man of letters and an expert in culture who has produced works in various genres. During his career, the works he produced not only received a number of awards, but also caused controversy from his own community group in the Minangkabau. In this regard, this research tries to examine the position and achievements of Wisran Hadi in the arena of Indonesian literature. The discussion includes the efforts made by the author to achieve a position, to operate in the literary arena, and to maintain his position. Based on Pierre Bourdieu's theory of genetic structuralism, the results of the analysis show the following. First, the position of the literary arena occupied by Wisran Hadi is dominantly on the principle of an autonomous hierarchy, so that it tends to contradict the laws that apply in the arena of power The structure of the literary arena is a limited production arena. Second, the achievement of positions based on habitus, artistic practice, the acquisition and exchange of symbolic capital, the acquisition of awards, and the survival of the Bumi Teater group. Third, practices and strategies in maintaining position are by producing works in various genres, prioritizing exploration of words and languages, and elaborating classic works such as kaba, tambo, and history. In addition, the work is positioned based on various elements such as habitus, the structure of the arena occupied, the position in the arena, to the situation and conditions of social reality that are the source and target of the work.

This study discusses the reception of readers of the mega best-seller novel entitled Mariposa by Luluk HF. The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the reader's responses, (2) describe the horizon of readers' expectations, and (3) describe the factors that cause differences in responses and the horizon of expectations of readers of Mariposa's novel. The method applied is descriptive qualitative. This study uses a reception aesthetic approach that seeks to find consistent reception patterns as a reflection of the way the reader responds to the text. The research data consisted of texts containing the responses of twenty respondents from the data source in the form of the Goodreads reader site. The research results obtained are as follows. First, not all readers respond positively to the intrinsic elements of the novel, especially the characterization of the female protagonist who is considered to show aggressive behavior with a love motive. Second, most of the horizons of readers' expectations do not match the reality in Mariposa. Readings are generally motivated by curiosity because of the hyperbolic labeling of the novel, recommendations from friends, and the discourse of filming the novel. Third, the factors that cause the difference or suitability of the horizon of readers' expectations for the Mariposa novel are knowledge of literature, knowledge of life, and experience of reading literary works.

Learning literature in the digital form makes instilling character values in students easier. Learning to write moral stories as a potential alternative to imitating good behavior may foster literary appreciation through the publication of the results of writing moral stories. This study examined the effectiveness of e-paper in improving the ability to write moral stories and students’ productivity in learning. The type of this study was quantitative-descriptive research using a pre-experimental design, specifically in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. In this study, data were collected using a written test and documentation. The results showed that (1) e-paper was effective in improving the ability to write moral stories. (2) the learning process involved e-paper as a medium for student productivity in writing moral stories, as reviewed from students’ learning outcomes published in the mass media.

An adverbial clause is a subordinate clause that serves to provide information on the main clause. The presence of an adverbial clause is not a must, but it can help create coherence in a discourse. This study aims to describe the markers of adverbial clauses in Angkola language. The method used is descriptive qualitative markers. Data collections are conducted by speaking, listening, and taking notes. The data in this study are adverbial clauses in Angkola language obtained from native Angkola speakers and also written sources obtained from Angkola language books. Data analysis was carried out by matching the data with the theory contained in the study, namely adverbial clause markers in Angkola language sentences. The results showed that there were five types of adverbial clauses in Angkola language, namely temporal clauses marked by the word dung 'after' and dompak 'when', conditional clauses marked by the word molo 'if', causal clauses (causal clause) which is marked by the word harana 'because', the purpose clause (purposal clause) which is marked by the word anso 'so that/so', and the concession clause (consessive clause) which is marked by the words bope 'although' and aha pe 'what ever'. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to write story texts for students of the Indonesian Language Education Undergraduate Program FKIP Bengkulu University. The scope of this research covers aspects of (1) the suitability of the theme with the content, (2) the structure of the story text, (3) the choice of words (diction), (4) the use of story-style sentences, and (5) the Indonesian Language spelling and handwriting. This research uses descriptive method and quantitative approach. The research population was all students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program FKIP Bengkulu University in the odd semester of 2018/2019 and the sample was purposive sampling, determining that there were 34 students in semester III-A. Collecting data uses test techniques and instruments in the form of instructions for writing stories with the theme of "love" and guidelines for assessing the ability to write stories based on five components, including content, text structure, diction, sentences, and mechanics. Data analysis used descriptive statistics to find the mean and determined qualitative results. The results showed that the ability to write story texts for the students of the Indonesian Language Education Undergraduate Program, FKIP Bengkulu University, was categorized as good. This is based on the score of all components with an average of 73.97. These results still require efforts to improve to be better. The results of each aspect of the ability to write story texts, namely aspects (1) the suitability of the theme with the content, good category (18.94), (2) story structure, good category (16.09), (3) accuracy of diction in good category (score 14 ,3), (4) narrative language style sentences are in good category (17.24), and (5) mechanics (BI spelling and handwriting) are in good category (7.32).

The use of satire language in Laiyolo people's lives is quite intense. This is because it is motivated by the nature of the people of Laiyolo who do not like to be frank by sticking to the attitude of tasipakaito, 'humanizing each other' or posianggarangi 'mutual respect'. Therefore, Laiyolo people use satirical language as a form of indirect communication to people who have done something that is not pleasant. This paper discusses figure of speech of satire as a form of indirect communication in Laiyolo. The purpose of this paper is to describe the use of satirical as a form of indirect communication in Laiyolo. The method used is descriptive qualitative, the data collection technique through observational, conversation, and recording. The results of the data analysis show that satirical, namely irony, cynicism, and sarcasm. These three satirical are basically contrary to the principle of cooperation and the principle of politeness. However, these three satirical are considered safer spoken than criticizing, insulting, berating, mocking, and so on.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengungkap keberadaan syair Hamzah Fansuri, yang namanya menggegerkan dunia Islam melalui syair-syair sufistiknya. Kapur barus tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kota kecil di Pantai Barat Pulau Sumatera yang menjadi tempat asalnya, yaitu Barus yang memiliki nama lain Fansur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, karena tujuannya mengungkap keberadaan syair Hamzah Fansuri. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa syair Hamzah Fansuri pernah berkembang sekitar abad ke-XVI hingga ke-XVII, hampir sama terkenalnya dengan kisah kapur barus. Syair hamzah Fansuri sarat dengan ajaran lebih mendekatkan diri kepada Sang Khalik namun, keberlangsungan ajarannya sulit untuk meyakinkan orang. masyarakat Tapanuli Tengah yang mempunyai karakter sangat terbuka dengan pendatang. Sehingga banyak penduduknya dari luar, menyebabkan akutulrasi budaya hingga muncul syair baru yang berkembang hingga sekarang yaitu syair sikambang. Bergeser sedikit ke arah Barat kecamatan Manduamas berbatasan langsung dengan Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat ditemukan juga syair (odong-odong) yang dilantunkan oleh laki-laki yang sedang berada di tengah hutan.

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang wujud campur kode pada tuturan yang dilakukan oleh penyiar Solo RadioFM di kota Surakarta. Tuturan dalam acara “Pagi-Pagi” tersebut terjadi peristiwa campur kode, baik itu campur kode intern maupun campur kode ekstern. Peralihan bahasa yang terjadi, yaitu bahasa inggris dan Jawa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah siaran radio acara “Pagi-Pagi”yang dilakukan oleh Adis dan Abas sebagai penyiar pada acara tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bentuk dan faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode intern dan ekstern pada tuturan penyiar radio acara “Pagi-Pagi” Solo Radio FM. Pengumpulan data, dilakukan melalui teknik rekam, simak dan teknik catat. Kemudian penulis menganalisis jenis dan faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya campur kode dengan menggunakan analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut , pertama adalah bentuk campur kode beserta faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode. Bentuk-bentuk campur kode yang ditemukan meliptin campur kode intern dan ekstern. Campur kode intern berupa campur kode dari bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa Jawa dialek Solo dan campur kode ekstern yang ditemukan berupa campur kode bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa Inggris. Datatentang campur kode baik campur kode intern dan campur kode ekstern dalam tuturan penyiar acara “Pagi-Pagi” Solo Radio FM ditemukan 66 peristiwa campur kode, yaitu 33 dalam bentuk kata baik itu campur kode intern dan ekstern, 12 berbentuk Frasa, 5 berbentuk baster, 6 berbentuk pengulangan kata, 10 berbentuk klausa.

Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah siaran radio acara “Pagi-Pagi”yang dilakukan oleh Adis dan Abas sebagai penyiar pada acara tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bentuk dan faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode intern dan ekstern pada tuturan penyiar radio acara “Pagi-Pagi” Solo Radio FM. Pengumpulan data, dilakukan melalui teknik rekam, simak dan teknik catat. Kemudian penulis menganalisis jenis dan faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya campur kode dengan menggunakan analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut , pertama adalah bentuk campur kode beserta faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode. Bentuk-bentuk campur kode yang ditemukan meliptin campur kode intern dan ekstern. Campur kode intern berupa campur kode dari bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa Jawa dialek Solo dan campur kode ekstern yang ditemukan berupa campur kode bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa Inggris. There are three objectives in this study as follows. First, this study describes the reading comprehension skills of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang. Second, this study describes the writing skills of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang. Third, this study was to analyze the correlation between reading comprehension skills of the news text and writing skills of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The research design applied in this study is a correlational relationship of two variables. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 17 Padang in the academic year 2019/2020. The samples in this study were 32 students. Samples were taken using simple random sampling or simple random sampling. The research instruments are objective tests and performance tests. Based on data analysis, three results were obtained from this study. First, reading comprehension skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang with good qualifications with an average score of 81.80. Second, the skills of writing news texts for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang with good qualifications with an average score of 72.30. Third, there is a significant relationship between the relationship between reading comprehension skills and news text writing skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Padang which has a significant level of 95%. Based on the hypothesis test, it is accepted that the skills in writing news texts are also in sufficient qualifications (76-85%). Based on the results of the study, H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted because the test results prove that t count is greater than t table, namely 8.01> 1.63.
本研究有以下三个目的。首先,本研究描述了巴东17中学八年级学生的阅读理解能力。其次,本研究描述了巴东17中学八年级学生的写作技巧。第三,本研究分析了巴东17中学八年级学生新闻文本阅读理解能力与写作能力的相关关系。这种类型的研究是描述性定量研究。本研究采用的研究设计是两个变量的相关关系。本研究的人群是2019/2020学年巴东内格里17中学八班的学生。本研究的样本为32名学生。样本采用简单随机抽样或简单随机抽样。研究手段有客观测试和性能测试。根据数据分析,本研究得到三个结果。第一,巴东SMP Negeri 17的八年级学生的阅读理解能力,成绩良好,平均成绩为81.80分。第二,巴东SMP Negeri 17的八年级学生的新闻文本写作技能,平均得分为72.30,成绩较好。第三,巴东17中学八年级学生阅读理解能力与新闻文本写作能力的关系显著相关,显著水平为95%。在假设检验的基础上,新闻文本写作技能也达到了足够的水平(76-85%)。根据研究结果,由于测试结果证明t计数大于t表,即8.01> 1.63,因此拒绝H 0,接受H 1。

Bahasa tulis dalam berita utama pada media cetak surat kabar menjadi suatu daya tarik bagi pembaca dan kini sudah dapat dilihat melalui online dengan kecanggihan teknologi. Dalam bahasa tulis headline memiliki wacana bahasa dan analisis isi terhadap pembaca. Pasalnya, berita utama merupakan berita yang mendapatkan perhatian lebih dari redaksi sebuah media, sehingga menjadi prioritas dan diletakkan di halaman utama serta mendapatkan tempat khusus karena berada di tengah dan memiliki space yang besar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang wacana bahasa tulis dan komunikasi dalam pemberitaan di media cetak. Objek penelitian yang dilakukan adalah koran harian lokal di Sumatera Utara dan Aceh, Harian Waspada sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode wacana bahasa dan analisis isi secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pencatatan data berdasarkan kategorisasi tema-tema berita utama yang telah ditentukan dan dianalisis datanya dengan menggunakan tabel frekuensi. Hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan Harian Waspada memuat beberapa tema-tema berita seputar Covid-19 sebagai berita utama yaitu politik, ekonomi, kesehatan, dan luar negeri.
