The Perfumery Spices of Dayak Land and Its Trade in the Nineteenth Century 19世纪大雅地的香料及其贸易

The study of spices in Kalimantan area tends to focus on pepper, a commodity that can be said to introduce this island as a 'pepper country' to the wider world in the maps made by European explorers. In fact, other commodities, such as garu (agarwood) and sintok (wild cinnamon), have also been traded long before pepper. As a commodity, the two endemic fragrances that grow naturally in the forest certainly have different effects on the community than the cultivated pepper. How the mutual influence that binds between the community and the environment in the perfume trade is the focus that will be revealed using the historical method with an environmental history approach. Thus, the environment becomes an aspect that is also discussed in changing people's lives. This is different from the study of pepper which focuses more on the political-economic aspects. The results showed that the production and trade system of perfumery spices is engaged with the values, traditions, and rules of the local forester of Dayak as the main actors, both as individuals and groups.

Local genius Tradisi Pembuatan Perahu Masyarakat Bontobahari sebagai Spirit Kebudayaan Maritim Nusantara

Sejarah maritim Nusantara tidak terlepas dari eksistensi Local genius yang berkembang di Indonesia termasuk pada masyarakat pesisir. Local genius dalam dunia maritim Nusantara tercermin pada aktivitas yang digiatkan oleh industri pembuatan perahu dan pelayaran. Salah satu daerah dengan masyarakat yang memiliki Local genius dalam keahlian pembuatan perahu yang kemudian menjadi sentra industri pembuatan perahu terbesar di Indonesia, bahkan di dunia adalah di Kec. Bontobahari, Kab, Bululkumba, Sulawesi Selatan. Dalam penelitian ini ingin menelusuri sejarah, unsur dan spririt budaya maritim dalam  tradisi pembuatan perahu sebagai local genius masyarakat Bontobahari. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi langsung dan teknik wawancara. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tradisi pembuatan perahu pada masyarakat konjo pesisir di Bontobahari merupakan suatu aktifitas budaya yang khas sebagai Local Genius. Spirit budaya maritim masyarakatt Bontobahari  tercermin dalam aktivitas pembuatan perahu menjadi identitas khas bagi masyarakat Bontobahari.

The DAMPAK NEGATIF JEMBATAN MERAH PUTIH TERHADAP KOMUNITAS SUBALTERN PENDAYUNG PERAHU DI TELUK AMBON 红白大桥对安邦湾桨手苏堡社区的负面影响

Abstract This research is expected to produce a strategy for the subaltern Poka-Galala boat rower in order to obtain the right strategy in order to get out of poverty caused by the construction of the red and white bridge so that the subaltern's income decreases and even loses their livelihood which has been a source of income to support their families. In addition, the research is also expected to be seen by stakeholders in the Maluku province and the Ambon City government in order to get the right solution in restoring the livelihood system that exists in the subordinate class of Poka-Galala boat rowers who depend on this work for a living. For this reason, it is hoped that it can produce an appropriate strategy for the subalterns, but will these subalterns be able to if they are not assisted both financially and morally in the form of motivation to fight for their rights and how to voice their rights to the government because basically subalterns are marginalized community groups? who are not able to express what they want they need strong voices sitting in government, and what about the attention of the government it self, the policy they are asking for is a policy that is truly in favor of the subaltern, if allowed then the government should be able to reengineer This beautiful bay of Ambon is a tourist spot in sea waters so that it can restore subaltern income which is reduced or even completely lost due to the construction of the red and white bridge.   Abstrak Artikel ini membahas tentang kelompok subaltern pendayung perahu di desa Galala. Penelitian ini diharapkan untuk menghasilkan sebuah strategi bagi subaltern pendayung perahu Poka-Galala agar dapat memperoleh strategi yang tepat agar dapat keluar dari himpitan kemiskinan yang diakibatkan adanya pembangunan jembatan merah putih sehingga berkurangnya pendapatan  subaltern bahkan hilang mata pencaharian yang selama ini  merupakan  sumber penghasilan dalam menghidupi keluarga mereka. Selain  itu penelitian juga diharapkan dapat dilihat oleh  stakeholder  pada propinsi  Maluku maupun pemerintah Kota Ambon  agar mendapat solusi yang tepat dalam mengembalikan sistem mata pencaharian hidup yang ada pada kalangan subaltern  pendayung perahu Poka-Galala yang selama ini menggantungkan hidup pada pekerjaan ini. Untuk itu penelitian diharapkan dapat menghasilkan sebuah strategi yang tepat bagi para subaltern, namun apakah subaltern ini mampu jika tidak dibantu baik secara finansial maupun secara moril berupa motivasi untuk memperjuangkan hak-hak mereka serta bagaimana menyuarakan hak mereka pada pemerintah sebab pada dasarnya subaltern adalah kelompok masyarakat yang termarginalkan yang tidak mampu mengungkapkan apa yang mereka inginkan mereka membutuhkan suara-suara yang tegas yang dududk di pemerintahan, dan bagaimana dengan perhatian pemerintah itu sendiri, kebijakan yang mereka butuhkan adalah kebijakan yang benar-benar berpihak pada subaltern, jika diperbolehkan maka pemerintah seyogyany

Banda Neira merupakan salah satu kepulauan yang berada di Maluku Tengah. Daerah kecil yang jauh dari ibu kota kabupaten maupun provinsi. Banda Neira memiliki sumber daya alam yang melimpah. Setidaknya di daerah kecil ini kini terkenal dengan dua sumberdaya alam yang dijadikan komoditas utama masyarakat. Pertama adalah potensi baharinya, sehingga daerah ini dijadikan pemerintah menjadi salah satu lumbung ikan nasional. Tidak heran jika laut Banda menyimpan banyak potensi perikanan terutama ikan tuna, cakalang, momar, kerapu dan masih banyak lagi jenis lainnya. Potensi kedua adalah hasil perkebunan pala. Pala menjadi salah satu komoditas utama andalan masyarakat Banda Neira. Bahkan Pala yang istimewa dari Banda membawa sejarah yang panjang untuk masyarakat Banda.

THE LEGACY OF SPICE ROUTE 香料路线的遗产

Panglima Laot is a cultural institution that has existed for a long time in Aceh. Starting in the 17th century, Panglima Laot consistently made an essential contribution to the coastal communities of Aceh, especially in preserving the marine environment by implementing and enforcing Adat Laot. While most research only discussed Panglima Laot's contribution to Aceh’s marine environment with its unique customary law, this research aspires to explore the role of Panglima Laot in the context of maritime security in Aceh. By utilising the maritime security matrix from Bueger, this study found that Panglima Laot contributed to realising four critical elements of maritime security: human security, marine environment, economic development, and national security. The contribution was obtained from the effective cooperation carried out by maritime security stakeholders in Aceh with Panglima Laot. These maritime security stakeholders are Aceh Regional Police, the Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of Aceh Province, and the Indonesian Navy.

KESIAPAN NILAI TRADISIONAL MASYARAKAT SUNDA DALAM REVOLUSI INDUSTRI 4.0 MENUJU SOCIETY 5.0

The industrial revolution 4.0 has great potential benefits for human life but still cannot be utilized optimally. On the other hand, the concept of society 5.0 focuses on a human-centered and technology-based society already developed partially. The transition from the industrial revolution 4.0 to society 5.0 certainly affected the lives of Indonesian society, including Sundanese society. According to modern values, the values of Sundanese traditional that is needed to be maintained on the transition from the industrial revolution 4.0 to society 5.0 is interesting to explore. This research aims to understand the existence of traditional Sundanese values, identify the inclusion of traditional Sundanese values between young and old in their interaction with modern values, and analyze the repositioning of Sundanese people in synergizing modern values to traditional values from industrial revolution 4.0 to society 5.0. The study is secondary research with a literature review from 23 with relevant keyword-based selected journals. The result is that the modern value of the industrial revolution 4.0 embraced by the younger generation does not conform to the traditional Sundanese values held by the older generation thus leading to the inclusion of different traditional Sundanese values and threatening the existence of traditional Sundanese values. The result also indicates that the transitioning from industrial revolution 4.0 to society 5.0 needs repositioning of Sundanese traditional values that able to synergize or collaborate with modern values towards society 5.0.
工业革命4.0为人类生活带来了巨大的潜在好处,但仍不能得到最佳利用。另一方面,社会5.0的概念侧重于已经部分发展起来的以人为中心和技术为基础的社会。从工业革命4.0到社会5.0的过渡当然影响了印尼社会的生活,包括巽他人的社会。从现代价值观来看,从工业革命4.0到社会5.0的过渡中需要保持的巽他传统价值观是值得探索的。本研究旨在了解传统巽他价值观的存在,识别传统巽他价值观在年轻人和老年人与现代价值观的互动中所包含的内容,并分析从工业革命4.0到社会5.0,巽他人在现代价值观与传统价值观协同中的重新定位。本研究为二次研究,选取了23本相关关键词期刊的文献综述。其结果是,年轻一代所信奉的工业革命4.0的现代价值观与老一辈所持有的传统巽他式价值观不一致,从而导致不同的传统巽他式价值观的包容,威胁了传统巽他式价值观的存在。结果还表明,从工业革命4.0到社会5.0的过渡需要重新定位能够与现代价值观协同或协作的传统价值观,以实现社会5.0。

ETHICAL IMPLICATION OF GOD CONCEPT IN JAVANESE PRAYERS 爪哇语祈祷中上帝观念的伦理意蕴

Penelitian ini didasari oleh fenomena ketidakpahaman maksud ritual  dan doa yang sering menimbulkan klaim kekafiran sehingga menjadi pemicu konflik  di masyarakat. Kebudayaan Jawa yang penuh ritual dan variasi doa menjadi salah satu objek yang menarik untuk dikaji. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi pengertian doa, macam doa Jawa, konsep Tuhan di dalam doa Jawa, dan implikasi etik dari doa.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka mengenai konsep yang ada di masyarakat. Untuk mendapatkan hasil penelitian dilakukan pengumpulan sumber bacaan, pembacaan referensi, deskripsi, klasifikasi, analisis dan penyimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa doa merupakan ucapan atau ungkapan keinginan berupa pernyataan eksistensi, pemujaan, permohonan, kepasrahan, kesyukuran dan ungkapan terima kasih  kepada Tuhan atau entitas Supranatural. Doa Jawa dibagi dua yaitu doa Slametan dan  mantra.  Kebanyakan doa Slametan dan doa mantra yang bersifat baik,  mengandung unsur nama Tuhan, sebagian lain mengandung unsur Nabi, sahabat Nabi, wali, dan nenek moyang. Hal ini bermakna keyakinan atas kekuasaan Tuhan dan penghormatan kepada para pihak yang berperan dalam hidup. Doa mantra yang cenderung bersifat negatif terindikasi tidak menyebut nama Tuhan dan tokoh kehidupan yang dihormati. Doa Slametan lebih bersifat baik dan komunal, bermuatan etik, mengarahkan pada laku baik. Doa Slametan juga berisi harapan untuk kebaikan diri pendoa dan semua manusia.

Henki Kleber on Bow and Strings 亨基·克莱伯的《琴弓》

Abstract This article tries to analyse the representation of postcolonialism in Indonesian children's literary works in the form of a novel entitled Komponis Kecil by Soesilo Toer. Komponis Kecil tells a story about the friendship of two figures namely Henki and Meneer Kleber. Meneer Kleber taught Henki to play a violin which at that time was considered as a musical instrument of the European or upper-class society, which later influenced Henki in the process of finding his true identity. This article uses qualitative social research methods with Komponis Kecil novel as the main research object. This article analyses the postcolonial concepts of otherness, mimicry and hybridity under the concept of orientalism. This article will use inductive analysis as data analysis method and hermeneutics as a methodology for interpreting texts; with the main narrative theme of Henki's hybridity which makes it unable to separate his European influences. This article also examines the expression of postcolonialism which also signifies the emergence of the social realism genre in Komponis Kecil.

Examining Women, Peace, and Security Agenda in Local Concept Case study: Aceh, Indonesia 审视妇女、和平与安全议程在地方概念的案例研究:亚齐,印度尼西亚

The UN security council established Resolution 1325 (SCR1325) to affirm women's vital role in peacemaking and peacebuilding in conflict. Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda emphases equal participation of men and women in the negotiation process and creates gender equality in post-conflict, and eradicates gender violence in conflict. This study illustrates how women in Aceh fight for their rights throughout the conflict and post-conflict within an unequal society; and also highlights how important to adapt the WPS agenda to ensure gender equality and social justice. By applying narrative analysis, researchers enable to explore Acehnese women's experiences and struggles in seeking justice through their narratives. The implementation of the WPS agenda in Aceh faces many challenges, both structural and cultural. Thegovernment and combatant groups overlooked women's participation in peace negotiation. When the conflict ended, gender inequality is still lingering in every aspect. Aceh women experience injustice, sexual violence, and discrimination in the domestic and public sphere. Besides revealing the challenges in adapting the WPS agenda and creating gender equality in Aceh, this study also obtains policy recommendations to be considered by the local and central governments to ensure gender justice and substantial peace for women in Aceh post-conflict.

Dilema Kewargaan Kelompok Minoritas: Studi Kasus Suku Bajo di Nusa Tenggara Timur 少数民族社会困境:在东努萨的巴约案例研究

Tulisan ini mendiskusikan masalah kewargaan kelompok minoritas suku Bajo di Pulau Kera, Kabupaten Kupang, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Adapun pertanyaan umum dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana suku Bajo memaknai kewargaan mereka dalam bingkai ke Indonesiaan?. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut maka digunakan konsep kewargaan (citizenship) sebagai alat analisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, dengan desain penelitian studi kasus (case study). Penelitian ini berkesimpulan bahwa orang-orang Bajo sebagai kelompok minoritas di Nusa Tenggara Timur mendapati dirinya dalam kondisi dilematis. Di satu sisi, negara menganggap orang-orang Bajo di Pulau Kera sebagai penduduk liar yang tidak berhak mendapatkan status kewargaan, karena itu mereka tidak mendapatkan hak-haknya terutama berkaitan dengan pelayanan dasar. Namun di sisi yang lain, orang-orang Bajo tetap dilibatkan dalam proses elektoral untuk menentukan wakil-wakil rakyat. Pada kondisi ini, orang Bajo merasa bahwa status kewargaan mereka hanya diberikan sepanjang berhubungan dengan kepentingan negara dan kembali dilupakan ketika negara tidak lagi berkepentingan.
