Metode Kompaksi Vertikal Panas (Warm Vertical Compaction) Sebagai Persiapan Aplikasi Pasak Fiber pada Saluran Akar 根管中应用纤维钉的准备工作--温热垂直压实法

ABSTRAKPendahuluan: Pasak diindikasikan pada gigi pasca perawatan saluran akar pada gigi dengan kerusakan struktur gigi yang luas, namun tahapan persiapan aplikasi pasak dapat menyebabkan berbagai komplikasi. Persiapan pasak meliputi pengambilan gutta-percha yang dapat dilakukan secara mekanis, kimia, atau termal. Metode termal pada teknik kompaksi vertikal panas (warm vertical compaction/WVC) memiliki berbagai kelebihan yang dapat mengoptimalkan persiapan aplikasi pasak fiber. Tujuan laporan kasus ini membahas metode kompaksi vertikal panas sebelum aplikasi pasak fiber. Laporan kasus: Pasien wanita, 62 tahun mengeluhkan gigi depan atas berlubang besar dan sakit berdenyut sejak 2 minggu lalu. Rencana perawatan adalah perawatan saluran akar gigi 12 dengan restorasi pasak fiber dan porcelain fused to metal crown. Teknik WVC digunakan sebagai persiapan aplikasi pasak fiber pada kasus ini. Metode ini menjadi pilihan persiapan aplikasi pasak fiber karena dapat mengoptimalisasi kondensasi gutta-percha, preparasi yang minimal invasif, mengangkat gutta-percha tanpa risiko mengambil dentin, mengurangi risiko kebocoran apikal, membantu penetrasi semen resin dan efisien dalam satu kunjungan. Metode ini umum ditemui pada kasus sehari-hari dan akan meningkatkan kualitas hasil perawatan, namun belum banyak laporan kasus yang menganalisisnya. However, preparation for post application could cause various complications. Post preparation involved removal of gutta-percha which could be done mechanically, chemically, or thermally. The thermal method with warm vertical compaction (WVC) technique had various advantages that could optimize the preparation of fiber post applications. The purpose of this case report was to discuss warm vertical compaction method prior to fiber post application. Case Report: A 62-year-old female patient complained of a large cavity in her upper front tooth and throbbing pain since 2 weeks ago. The treatment plan was root canal treatment for tooth 12 with fiber post and porcelain fused to metal crown. The WVC technique was used in preparation for fiber post application in this case. Bioceramic cement as a reparative material in apexification of immature permanent tooth: a case report 将生物陶瓷水泥作为修复材料用于未成熟恒牙的牙尖修复:一份病例报告

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Bioceramic cement is the latest material of choice that can be used in apexification, resorption case, perforation repair, and known as high-quality sealing material in regenerative endodontics. The treatment of apexification in immature teeth poses a considerable challenge due to the wide root canal, the absence of apical constriction, and thin dentin walls, thus requiring specialized techniques and materials for managing teeth with an open apex. The objective of this case report is to delineate the treatment of apexification in teeth with open apices using the latest bioceramic material (Bio-C® Repair). Case report: An 11-year-old female patient with chief complaints of swollen gums covering the cervical third of the crown after her front tooth was broken due to a fall two years ago. Radiographic examination showed a wide root canal with an open apex and radiolucency in the apical area. The apexification procedure with an apical plug was performed with Bio-C® Repair, followed by anatomical fiber post and direct composite restoration for the final restoration. In the 2-month and 4-month control, the periapical lesion showed signs of healing on radiographs. Bioceramic materials act as an artificial barrier in open apex management and provide various advantages, such as shortening treatment time, strengthening dentin structure, and possessing bioactive properties that can induce healing. The orthograde placement of bioceramic material is challenging in terms of length control. Using bioactive materials can reduce the risk of adverse impacts from material extrusion. Root canal treatment of a blunderbuss canal in the maxillary lateral incisor with dens invaginatus with apical plug application: a case report 用根尖塞治疗上颌侧切牙内陷窝的根管:病例报告

ABSTRACTIntroduction: The incidence of anterior dental trauma in young adults is high. The impact of this has been previously reported that pulp necrosis occurs in 50% of young fixed anterior teeth so that the process of apex formation is disrupted and in some cases can cause a blunderbuss shape at the tooth root apex. Root canal treatment of blunderbuss teeth accompanied by dens invaginatus poses a challenge for a dentist. Aims of this case report to explain successful root canal treatment of a blunderbuss canal in the maxillary lateral incisor with dens invaginatus with apical plug application using MTA followed by esthetic rehabilitation. Case report: A 25-year-old female presented to RSKGM with a complaint of pain and swelling of the gingiva. History of trauma at the age of the patient was 10 years old without treatment. Clinical examination revealed a complete crown with dens invaginatus. Radiographic examination showed a periapical lesion and an open apex blunderbuss shape. Treatment performed was treatment with an apical plug using MTA and restoration using a peg crown. Shape root canal with a blunderbuss is an open apex root canal with the root apex diameter greater than the coronal diameter, hence requiring adequate material to form a cap over the root apex (apical plug). It has been reported that MTA is an apical plug material that has good sealing ability, biocompatibility, bacteriostatic activity and the ability to regenerate periradicular tissues. Root canal treatment of blunderbuss teeth accompanied by dens invaginatus poses a challenge for a dentist. Aims of this case report to explain successful root canal treatment of a blunderbuss canal in the maxillary lateral incisor with dens invaginatus with apical plug application using MTA followed by esthetic rehabilitation. Case report: A 25-year-old female presented to RSKGM with a complaint of pain and swelling of the gingiva. History of trauma at the age of the patient was 10 years old without treatment. Clinical examination revealed a complete crown with dens invaginatus. Radiographic examination showed a periapical lesion and an open apex blunderbuss shape. Treatment performed was treatment with an apical plug using MTA and restoration using a peg crown. Shape root canal with a blunderbuss is an open apex root canal with the root apex diameter greater than the coronal diameter, hence requiring adequate material to form a cap over the root apex (apical plug). It has been reported that MTA is an apical plug material that has good sealing ability, biocompatibility, bacteriostatic activity and the ability to regenerate periradicular tissues. The radiopacity of glass ionomer cement after addition of nHA powder: experimental study 添加nHA粉末后玻璃离聚物水泥的辐射不透性实验研究

ABSTRACTIntroduction: One of the restorative materials often used in dental restoration treatment is GIC. One type of GIC is conventional GIC. Conventional GIC has the disadvantage of having low compressive strength compared to resin-modified GIC and high viscosity. One of the efforts to improve the mechanical properties of GIC is by adding nano hydroxyapatite (nHA) which can be obtained from natural materials such as eggshells. The addition of nHA to GIC can increase the compressive strength of GIC and the addition of nHA is thought to result in a change in the radiopacity properties of GIC. The research aims to analyze the radiopacity of GIC after the addition of nano-hydroxyapatite powder. Methods: The number of samples was 24 discs with a diameter of 7 mm and a height of 3 mm which were divided into 4 group. The research group was K0 (GIC) as the control group, K1 (GIC+ 2% nHA), K2 (GIC+ 3% nHA), and K3 (GIC + 4% nHA). Radiopacity measurements were carried out using the J Image application. Results: The results of the ANOVA test was p<0.05, which means that the radiopacity values in each group had a significant difference. The average gray value of GIC without the addition of nHA (K0) was 206.5, GIC + 2% nHA (K1) was 233.0, GIC + 3% nHA (K2) was 237.8 and GIC + 4% nHA (K3) was 241.0 measured with Image J.
