Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan proses kognitif bermuatan HOTS pada pertanyaan, tu-gas, dan latihan dalam buku teks siswa Bahasa Indonesia Kelas XI SMA Kemendikbud Edisi Revisi 2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan kajian teks terhadap konten HOTS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pertanyaan HOTS berdasarkan taksonomi Barrett dan taksonomi Bloom revisi. Tugas dan latihan HOTS berdasarkan taksonomi Barrett me-nuntut peserta didik untuk dapat menggunakan informasi yang tertuang dalam teks untuk diseleksi dan dijadikan sebagai dasar anggapan mengenai aspek tertentu dalam teks serta memberikan pen-dapat menggunakan kriteria tertentu. Tugas HOTS berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom revisi menuntut peserta didik untuk mampu membuat atau menyusun teks setelah menelaah aspek dalam teks dan mengevaluasinya berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Latihan HOTS berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom revisi menuntut peserta didik untuk dapat menguraikan teks cerpen dan drama yang diklasifikasikan da-lam kategori tertentu, memperbaiki penulisan teks, serta mengomentari pementasan naskah drama berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Peserta didik juga dituntut untuk dapat membangun karakter tokoh berdasarkan hasil analisis dan evaluasi yang telah dilakukan terhadap naskah dalam pembelajaran ekspresi lisan sastra. Di Desa Kepuh Kecamatan Kertosono yang merupakan tempat tinggal penulis rata-rata masyarakatnya bermatapencaharian sebagai petani dan buruh tani. Kemudian, pada tahun 2021 hadir program yang diselenggarakan oleh desa bersama Pembudidaya Ikan Lele Jawa Timur untuk mengadakan penebaran di Desa Kepuh tersebut. Program tersebut dapa diikuti oleh para petani untuk menambah penghasilan. Setelah melihat fenomena tersebut dan menyadari adanya kesamaan antara petani dan ikan lele mereka, pada penciptaan ini penulis mengambil ide dari kehidupan seorang petani saat bekerja di persawahan dan karakteristik hewan ikan lele. Bagi penulis, keduanya memiliki keunikan dan nilai yang sebaiknya diangkat ke dalam karya seni. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan ide konsep dari budaya agraris dan budidaya ikan lele di Desa Kepuh, proses berkarya, hasil, dan penyajian karya. Penciptaan ini menggunakan metode Gustami yang melalui tiga tahapan yakni eksplorasi, perancangan, dan perwujudan. Hasil penciptaan karya batik tulis ini berupa enam karya seni batik tulis. Keenamnya diberi judul Kehidupan, Keberhasilan, Perjuangan Petani, Kesabaran Petani, Petani dan Lele, Tanaman Padi Sumber Energi. Diharapkan karya ini dapat menyampaikan pesan moral serta bagaimana kehidupan seorang petani yang dijalaninya dan kehidupan ikan lele sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai motivasi dalam kehidupan manusia. Kata kunci: budaya agraris; ikan lele; seni batik tulis An Agricultural Culture of Rice Planting and Catfish Cultivation in Kepuh Village Community, Kertosono District as an Inspiration for Batik Tulis Motifs In Kepuh Village, Kertosono District, where the author lives, the average community earns a living as farmers and farm labourers. Then, in 2021 there will be a program organized by the village together with East Java Catfish Farmers to hold stockings in the Kepuh Village. The program can be followed by farmers to increase income. After seeing this phenomenon and realizing that there are similarities between farmers and their catfish, in this creation the author takes ideas from the life of a farmer while working in the fields and the characteristics of catfish animals. For writers, both of them have uniqueness and values that should be embodied in works of art. This article describes the conceptual ideas of agrarian culture and catfish farming in Kepuh Village, the work process, results, and presentation of the work. This creation uses the Gustami method which goes through three stages namely exploration, design, and embodiment. The results of the creation of this written batik work are in the form of six written batik works of art. The six are entitled Life, Success, Farmer's Struggle, Farmer's Patience, Farmer and Catfish, Rice Plants Source of Energy. It is hoped that this work can convey a moral message as well as how the life of a farmer he lived and the life of a catfish so that it can be used as a motivation in human life. Pengembangan media animasi Proses Pembuatan Topeng Malang ini dilatarbelakangi oleh susahnya mencontohkan proses pembuatan topeng di kelas pada mata pelajaran seni budaya di SMKN 10 Malang pada kelas X. Pada prakteknya, tidak semua guru dapat mencontohkan proses pembuatan topeng. Dalam proses mengajar guru tidak menggunakan teknologi sebagai alat bantu yang dapat memudahkan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangakan media animasi sebagai media pembelajaran seni budaya untuk membantu guru menjelaskan proses pembuatan topeng Malang pada siswa kelas X SMKN 10 Malang. Ketika media selesai dikembangakan, kemudian melalui validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa untuk mengetahui layak atau tidaknya sebuah media. Metode yang digunakan dalampengembangan ini adalah Research and Development dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE Melalui proses validasi oleh ahli materi, media, dan siswa secara keseluruhan mendapatkan persentase rata-rata 88 persen. Berdasarkan nilai persentase bisa disimpulkan bahwa media animasi Proses Pembuatan Topeng Malang dinyatakan valid dan dapat digunkana sebagai media pembelajaran seni budaya untuk siswa kelas X SMKN 10 Malang. Kata kunci: media pembelajaran; topeng malang; animasi Teaching Media Development: Animation of Malang Mask Making Process to Improve Tenth Grade Vocational High School Students' Comprehension The development of animation media in Malang’s Mask Making Process is motivated by the difficulty of exemplifying the process of making masks in class on cultural arts subjects at SMKN 10 Malang in class X. In practice, not all teachers can give examples of the process of making masks. In the teaching process the teacher does not use technology as a tool that can facilitate the teacher. This study aims to develop animation media as a medium for learning arts and culture to help teachers explain the process of making Malang masks in class X SMKN 10 Malang. When the media has been developed, then it is validated by material experts, media experts, and students to find out whether a media is feasible. The method used in this development is Research and Development using the ADDIE development model. Through a validation process by material experts, media, and students overall get an average percentage of 88 percent. Based on the percentage value, it can be concluded that the animation media of Malang Mask Making Process is declared valid and can be used as a medium for learning cultural arts for class X students of SMKN 10 Malang. Salah satu faktor keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran di dalam kelas ialah menggunakan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat. Namun, pada kenyataannya penggunaan strategi pembelajaran di SMPN 1 Tanggul masih dirasa belum optimal. Salah satu faktor yang menjadi penyebabnya adalah keterbatasan guru dalam memahami strategi pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VII B SMPN 1 Tanggul. Penelitian ini membutuhkan waktu dua siklus untuk menyelesaikan masalah pembelajaran yang ditemukan. Pada setiap siklusnya, terdapat beberapa tahapan yang harus dilakukan, yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahapan pelaksanaan, pengamatan, serta refleksi. Pada siklus satu, ditemukan data belajar siswa masih belum menunjukkan pencapaian yang signifikan dan diperlukan adanya perbaikan pada siklus dua. Setelah dilakukan tindakan lanjutan pada siklus dua diperoleh data peningkatan nilai hasil belajar siswa. Sebelumnya, pada siklus satu, diperoleh nilai sebesar 75,37 dan meningkat pada siklus dua menjadi 88,60. Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 13,23. Dari hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual berhasil mengatasi masalah pembelajaran di kelas VII B SMPN 1 Tanggul dan terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar Seni Budaya materi ansambel musik. Kata kunci: strategi pembelajaran; pembelajaran kontekstual; hasil belajar Contextual Learning Strategies to Improve Student Musical Ensemble Learning Outcomes in Junior High Schools One of the success factors in learning in the classroom is using the right learning strategy. However, in reality the use of learning strategies at SMPN 1 Tanggul is still not optimal. One of the contributing factors is the teacher's limitations in understanding learning strategies. Therefore, researchers apply contextual learning strategies in this study. This research was carried out by applying the classroom action research method with the research subjects being class VII B students of SMPN 1 Tanggul. This research takes 2 cycles to solve the learning problems found. In each cycle there are several stages that must be carried out including the planning stage, the implementation stage, observation, and reflection. Cycle I found that student learning data still did not show significant achievement and needed improvement in cycle 2. After further action was taken in cycle II, data was obtained on increasing the value of student learning outcomes where previously in cycle I the score was 75.37 and increased in cycle 2 be 88,60. This means that there is an increase in the average value of 13.23. From these results it was concluded that the application of contextual learning strategies succeeded in overcoming learning problems in class VII B of SMPN 1 Tanggul and there was an increase in learning outcomes in arts and culture

Namun, pada kenyataannya penggunaan strategi pembelajaran di SMPN 1 Tanggul masih dirasa belum optimal. Salah satu faktor yang menjadi penyebabnya adalah keterbatasan guru dalam memahami strategi pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti menerapkan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VII B SMPN 1 Tanggul. Penelitian ini membutuhkan waktu dua siklus untuk menyelesaikan masalah pembelajaran yang ditemukan. Pada setiap siklusnya, terdapat beberapa tahapan yang harus dilakukan, yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahapan pelaksanaan, pengamatan, serta refleksi. Pada siklus satu, ditemukan data belajar siswa masih belum menunjukkan pencapaian yang signifikan dan diperlukan adanya perbaikan pada siklus dua. Setelah dilakukan tindakan lanjutan pada siklus dua diperoleh data peningkatan nilai hasil belajar siswa. Sebelumnya, pada siklus satu, diperoleh nilai sebesar 75,37 dan meningkat pada siklus dua menjadi 88,60. Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 13,23. Dari hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual berhasil mengatasi masalah pembelajaran di kelas VII B SMPN 1 Tanggul dan terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar Seni Budaya materi ansambel musik.\u0000Kata kunci: strategi pembelajaran; pembelajaran kontekstual; hasil belajar\u0000Contextual Learning Strategies to Improve Student Musical Ensemble Learning Outcomes in Junior High Schools\u0000One of the success factors in learning in the classroom is using the right learning strategy. However, in reality the use of learning strategies at SMPN 1 Tanggul is still not optimal. One of the contributing factors is the teacher's limitations in understanding learning strategies. Therefore, researchers apply contextual learning strategies in this study. This research was carried out by applying the classroom action research method with the research subjects being class VII B students of SMPN 1 Tanggul. This research takes 2 cycles to solve the learning problems found. In each cycle there are several stages that must be carried out including the planning stage, the implementation stage, observation, and reflection. Cycle I found that student learning data still did not show significant achievement and needed improvement in cycle 2. After further action was taken in cycle II, data was obtained on increasing the value of student learning outcomes where previously in cycle I the score was 75.37 and increased in cycle 2 be 88,60. This means that there is an increase in the average value of 13.23. Monopoli bahasa Arab untuk pembelajaran kosakata merupakan hasil modifikasi dari monopoli bergambar berbagai negara menjadi kartu kosakata bahasa Arab. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini men-deskripsikan pengembangan dan kelayakan monopoli bahasa Arab untuk pembelajaran kosakata kelas IX MTs. Dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang bertujuan menghasilkan dan menguji kelayakan produk. Menggunakan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis dengan me-wawancarai guru bahasa Arab dan perwakilan siswa kelas IX MTs Darussalam untuk memperoleh informasi permasalahan tentang kosakata. Tahap desain, peneliti membuat prototipe monopoli ba-hasa Arab untuk pembelajaran kosakata. Tahap pengembangan, peneliti mengembangkan prototipe hingga menjadi produk cetak dan memvalidasinya kepada guru bahasa Arab MTs Darussalam, ahli materi dan ahli media. Tahap implementasi, peneliti melakukan uji coba kepada 20 siswa kelas IX MTs. Adapun hasil pengembangan monopoli bahasa Arab untuk pembelajaran kosakata yaitu papan monopoli, daftar pertanyaan, petunjuk permainan, kunci jawaban dan hasil kelayakan monopoli 94 persen aspek materi dan 94 persen aspek media dari guru bahasa Arab MTs Darussalam, 88 persen dari ahli materi, 90,6 persen dari ahli media dan setelah melakukan uji coba 96,6 persen dari 20 respon siswa kelas IX MTs Darussalam, serta peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari 50 menjadi 80. Sehingga Monopoli bahasa Arab untuk pembelajaran kosakata kelas IX Madrasah Tsanawiyah sangat layak sebagai media pembelajaran. There was an increase in the average score of students from 50 to 80. So the monopoly of Arabic for vocabulary learning class IX MTs deserves to be as a learning medium. Siswa bahasa Arab di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah Hasyim Asy’ari Malang menghadapi kesulitan dalam penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab. Selain itu, motivasi belajar di kelas mereka juga rendah. Problem serupa terjadi juga pada siswa-siswa bahasa Arab lainnya yang disebabkan oleh metode pembelajaran di kelas yang masih belum tepat. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mencoba menerapkan metode Total Physical Response (TPR) dalam pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Arab pada siswa kelas 5 MI Hasyim Asy’ari Malang. Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana cara menerapkan metode TPR dalam mengoptimalkan kemampuan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa pada maharah qira’ah di Madrasah Ibtidai’yah Hasyim Asy’ari Malang. Kegitan ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas empat tahap: persiapan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan perenungan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidai’yah Hasyim Asy’ari Malang. Data kuantitatif bersumber dari nilai kinerja siswa, baik sebelum maupun sesudah penerapan metode TPR. Sedangkan data kualitatif bersumber dari hasil diskusi, wawancara, survei siswa, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada kenaikan nilai rata-rata pada post-test tahap I sebesar 40 persen dibandingkan sebelum diterapkannya metode TPR. Hasil post-test tahap II juga menunjukkan kenaikanan yang signifikan dengan nilai rata-rata 95,08 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 100 persen. Nilai tersebut mencukupi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) sebesar 75. Sampah merupakan buangan yang dihasilkan dari setiap aktifitas manusia, baik secara pribadi maupun kelompok. Pada tahun 2021, Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Sampah Nasional (SIPSN) me-nyatakan bahwa timbunan sampah di Indonesia mencapai 28.527.056 ton/tahun dan penanganan-nya hanya sampai 48,86 persen. Persentase tersebut menandakan belum adanya upaya penanganan sampah secara maksimal. Inilah yang menyebabkan banyaknya kawasan yang tercemar, baik di tanah, air, maupun udara. Pencemaran di tanah, air, atau udara tersebut berdampak buruk kehidup-an makhluk hidup. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya solusi edukatif demi meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat yang merupakan agen pemncemaran. Harapannya, dengan peningkatan kesadaran ter-sebut masalah pencemaran lingkungan bisa teratasi. Solusi edukatif yang penulis coba adalah pen-ciptaan karya seni lukis bertemakan dampak pencemaran lingkungan. Artikel ini memaparkan proses penciptaan karya seni lukis tersebut dan deskripsi hasil akhirnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya seni lukis ini adalah metode penciptaan Alma M. Hawkins yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan perwujudan. Hasilnya, ada enam karya lukis teknik plakat yang bertemakan pencemaran lingkungan. Masing-masing karya lukis tersebut menceritakan keadaan lingkungan di tanah, air, dan udara yang rusak karena sampah. In 2021, the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) states that waste accumulation in Indo-nesia reaches 28,527,056 tons/year and only 48,86 percent of it is handled. This percentage indicates that there is no optimal waste management effort. This is what causes many polluted areas, both in soil, water, and air. Pollution in the soil, water or air has a negative impact on the lives of living things. Therefore, there is a need for educational solutions to increase public awareness as agents of pollu-tion. The hope, with increased awareness of the problem of environmental pollution can be resolved. The educational solution that the author tries is the creation of works of art with the theme of the impact of environmental pollution. This article describes the process of creating these works of art and a description of the final result. The method used in the creation of this painting is Alma M. Hawkins' method of creation which consists of three stages, namely exploration, improvisation, and embodiment. As a result, there were six placard technique paintings with the theme of environmental pollution. Pencemaran di tanah, air, atau udara tersebut berdampak buruk kehidup-an makhluk hidup. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya solusi edukatif demi meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat yang merupakan agen pemncemaran. Harapannya, dengan peningkatan kesadaran ter-sebut masalah pencemaran lingkungan bisa teratasi. Solusi edukatif yang penulis coba adalah pen-ciptaan karya seni lukis bertemakan dampak pencemaran lingkungan. Artikel ini memaparkan proses penciptaan karya seni lukis tersebut dan deskripsi hasil akhirnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya seni lukis ini adalah metode penciptaan Alma M. Hawkins yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan perwujudan. Hasilnya, ada enam karya lukis teknik plakat yang bertemakan pencemaran lingkungan. Kegiatan penerjemahan melibatkan lebih dari satu bahasa yang masing-masing bahasa mempunyai aturan atau aspek-aspek gramatikal tertentu. Proses pengalihan dari bahasa sumber (BSu) ke bahasa sasaran (BSa) berpotensi mengalami pergeseran bentuk maupun makna. Sebagai usaha menghasilkan terjemahan yang baik dan terterima, penerjemah perlu menguasai kemampuan mencari padanan terbaik dalam proses penerjemahan. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan pergeseran bentuk dan makna dalam terjemahan cerpen Kopi Tubruk, Laki-Laki Cemas, dan Kehidupanku Sendiri versi mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Mandarin. Analisis data dilakukan berdasarkan teori pergeseran bentuk versi Catford dan teori pergeseran makna versi Simatupang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa kalimat dalam hasil terjemahan cerpen yang mengalami lebih dari satu jenis pergeseran dan ada pula yang tidak mengalami pergeseran sama sekali. Pergeseran bentuk yang paling sering ditemukan dalam hasil terjemahan cerpen disebabkan oleh kedua bahasa mempunyai tataran dan aturan bahasa yang berbeda. Pergeseran makna pada hasil terjemahan cerpen terjadi karena tidak ditemukannya padanan yang sesuai pada Bsa. Selain itu, latar belakang kepercayaan kedua negara penutur BSu dan Bsa juga menjadi alasan terjadinya pergeseran beberapa makna cerpen. Novel adalah karya sastra yang termasuk dalam ragam prosa. Salah satu unsur yang dominan dalam novel adalah tokoh yang memiliki peran sebagai pelaku yang menjalankan cerita. Konflik yang dialami tokoh baik dari dalam dan luar dirinya berpengaruh pada kepribadian tokoh dalam novel. Kepribadian tokoh dapat dilihat dari cara tokoh merespons dan mengatasi konflik tersebut. Pe-nelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepribadian tokoh utama dalam novel menggunakan teori kepribadian psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis psikologi sastra. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa satuan cerita berbentuk narasi, dialog, atau monolog yang memuat kepribadian tokoh utama berdasarkan konflik psikologis tokoh yang terdapat dalam novel Minoel karya Ken Terate. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa konflik antara tiga struktur kepribadian (id, ego, dan superego) membentuk kepribadian dalam diri Minoel. Minoegl belum mampu mengatasi berbagai masalah yang menimpanya dengan baik sehingga memengaruhi pengambilan keputusan dan membuatnya mengalami gangguan psikologis. The main element of a novel is the characters who run the plot of the story. The conflicts experienced by the characters both from within and outside themselves affect the personality of the characters in a novel. The character's personality can be seen from the way a certain character responds and overcomes the conflict. This present study aimed to describe the personality of the main character in the novel Minoel by Ken Terate using applying the theory of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic. This present study was also presented as a qualitative analysis using a literary psychology approach. The data in this study included story units in the form of narratives, dialogues, or monologues within the novel Minoel by Ken Terate. The in-strument was the researcher who used a guide table as a tool for data collection. The results showed that the conflict between the three personality structures (id, ego, and superego) formed Minoel's personality. Minoel had not been able to properly deal with the various problems that befall her. Thus, affected her decision-making and caused her to experience psychological disorders. Film 5 cm yang disutradarai oleh Rizal Mantovani merupakan adaptasi dari novel berjudul sama karya Donny Dhirgantoro. Film 5 cm bergenre drama yang menceritakan lima orang sahabat, yaitu Genta, Zafran, Riani, Ian, dan Arial yang ingin keluar dari zona nyaman untuk mencapai cita-cita. Menariknya, film 5 cm diangkat dari kisah nyata yang dikemas dengan menekankan konflik batin serta rasa nasionalisme pada setiap karakter sebagai motivasi untuk penonton. Tujuan artikel ini, yaitu untuk mengetahui penyebab dan dampak konflik batin tokoh Riani dalam film 5 cm, serta untuk mengetahui rasa nasionalisme tokoh Riani dalam film 5 cm. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ada-lah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi dokumen berupa film. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra. Data yang digunakan berupa dialog tokoh Riani dalam film 5 cm. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah tampilan visual, audio, dan verbal dalam film 5 cm. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini, yaitu tokoh Riani mengalami konflik batin dan di-temukannya rasa nasionalisme. Dalam film 5 cm, terdapat empat adegan yang merupakan konflik batin tokoh Riani. Adegan tersebut meliputi penyebab dan dampak konflik batin yang dialami oleh Riani. Selanjutnya ditemukan dua adegan tentang rasa nasionalisme tokoh Riani pada bagian akhir film 5 cm. Interestingly, 5 cm is based on a true story which is packaged by emphasizing inner conflict and a sense of na-tionalism in each character as motivation for the audience. The purpose of this article is to find out the causes and effects of Riani’s inner conflict in the 5 cm, and to find out the sense of nationalism of Riani's character in the 5 cm movie. The research method used is qualitative research with a docu-ment study design in the form of a movie. The theory used to analyze the data is a psychology of literature. The data used is dialogue of Riani's character in the 5 cm movie. The data sources used are visual, audio, and verbal displays in a 5 cm movie. The results of the analysis are namely the character Riani experiences inner conflict and nationalistic sentiments. In the 5 cm movie, there are four scenes which are the inner conflicts of Riani's character. The scene includes the causes and effects of Rianis’s inner conflict.
