Flatlock sewing machines 平缝机

Durable, elastic and flat seams of activewear garments are mostly processed by sewing machines called flatlocks or flatseamers. There create coverstitches 607. The machines use to have differently shaped work surfaces. Feed-off-the-arm machines are preferable for closing narrow, log components. Feed-up-the arm flatlocks are used for small and short tubular item processing. Flat bed sewing machines are designed for joining large size fl at components. Flatlocks use to be equipped with different devices: a fabric edge trimmer, a thread chain trimmer, a tape binder, a tape feeder, others. Fabric edge trimmers are available for both or single fabric edge trimming. A suction device is used to suck up the cut off fabric edges. Thread chain trimmers can be operated manually or automatical way. Tape binders are used on the machines to stitch a tape on men briefs. Advanced flatlocks are equipped with servo motors and use automatic lubrication system.

A comparative study on dyeing capability of conventional and organic cotton fabrics 常规棉织物与有机棉织物染色性能的比较研究

Cotton fiber, which is the most widely used natural fiber in the textile and paper industries, has a crucial environmental impact. Cultivation of conventional cotton consumes a lot of water and requires the usage of a higher amount of pesticides. Organic cotton is a more environmentally friendly alternative to its growing conditions. The characteristics of cotton change with the differences in growing conditions. In this study, the properties of yarns obtained from both conventionally and organically grown cotton were tested and analyzed. The properties of these yarns in the fabric structure were compared in terms of fabric performance. The produced fabrics were dyed in the cold-pad batch method with 5 different colors of reactive dyes, which are the most demanding colors in the ready-made garment industry. The physical properties and the fastness test results of the dyed organic and conventional cotton fabrics were investigated in detail to highlight the plant growing effects on the fabric behavior. Comparative color analysis and evaluation of the fabrics were made to discuss the performance of the fabrics. It is found that organically grown cotton is not only superior in quality but also has no negative eff ECT on fabric properties.

Analysis of the influence of carbon fibers on the electrostatic properties of fabrics intended for the production of protective clothing 碳纤维对防护服用织物静电性能的影响分析

The paper examined the electrostatic properties of fabrics, of which three fabrics contain 1-2% carbon fibers in their raw material composition. The electrostatic properties of six fabric samples were compared, of which three fabrics were produced from 100% cotton fibers and three fabrics were produced from polyester, cotton and carbon fibers in the following ratio: sample 1: cotton 75%, polyester 24% and carbon fibers 1%, pattern 2: polyester 54%, cotton 44%, carbon fiber 2%, pattern 3: polyester 66.5%, cotton 32%, carbon fiber 1.5%. Samples 4, 5 and 6 are made of 100% cotton fibers. The surface masses of the tested samples are approximate and range from 201.7 g·m-2 to 210.5 g·m-2. The aim of the work is to compare fabrics that contain admixtures of carbon fibers in their raw material composition in a percentage ratio of 1% - 2% with fabrics that are produced from 100% cotton fibers and that have been processed for the purpose of antistatic, to establish which fabrics and to what extent provide better protection against the accumulation of electrostatic charge and which better absorb it from their surface and drain it through the fabric. The tests were carried out according to the EN ISO 1149-3 standard using the method that measures the discharge of electric charges. The results showed that fabrics containing carbon fibers showed lower values of Er (maximum electric field strength recorded on the device with the sample being tested at the measuring position) and higher values of protection factor S.

Studies of antibacterial properties of banana fabric by dyeing with natural dyes 天然染料对香蕉织物抗菌性能的研究

Natural fibres, which are always biodegradable, organic, and non-toxic, find wide demand in technical textiles. Banana, a cellulosic fibre acquired from the banana plant, is a natural fibre that contributes to conserving the environment. The present study envisages extracting banana fabric using natural dyes such as henna, turmeric, and indigo. The banana fabric was pre-mordanted with two types of mordants, i.e., copper sulphate and alum. The banana fabric was dyed with turmeric, henna, and indigo. The henna shows a brown colour, the indigo shows a light blue colour, and the turmeric shows a rich yellow colour. Among those three dyes, turmeric shows the best colour, i.e., a rich yellow colour, and it also shows good antibacterial properties.

The textile industry in the territory of Belgrade today, but also in Serbia, which was an integral part of the Kingdom of SHS/Yugoslavia, experienced a growth during the interwar period and became one of the busiest industrial branches. In this paper, for the fi rst time, a textile factory with a small capacity will be present-ed, which in the period between 1935-1946. worked in Čukarica, industrial suburb of Belgrade. The paper was written on the basis of original archival materials and relevant literature dealing with the industrialization of Belgrade in the period between the two world wars. It is limited to the year 1946, when the company became social ownership, and the emphasis in it is placed on the presentation of the factory, its facilities, as well as its operations.

Waste materials as adsorbents for heavy metals removal from water: Comparative analysis of modification techniques 废物作为水中重金属的吸附剂:改性技术的比较分析

This study aims to investigate the effect of alkalization and chemical coupling methods on the surface and adsorption properties of waste cotton and cotton/polyester yarns. The simple and cheap alkali treatment was performed using 10% and 18% NaOH solution, while the chemical coupling method involved combining cotton and cotton/polyester yarns and fly ash, using sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and sodium alginate as binders. Morphological and surface characteristics of unmodified and modified cotton and cotton/polyester yarns were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, while adsorption properties were assessed by the removal of lead and cadmium ions from aqueous solution. It was found that chemical modification with 18% NaOH solution positively affected the adsorption properties of only cotton yarns, increasing the removal efficiency of lead ions up to 75%. On the other hand, modification with fly ash improves the adsorption properties of both, cotton and cotton/polyester yarns, increasing the efficiency in removing lead ions by using sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, and cadmium ions by using alginate as a binder. Using the chemical coupling method, effective adsorbents are obtained starting from waste yarn, which gives it added value, the amount of non-degradable waste material can be reduced and the criteria of a cleaner environment and circular economy can be met.

Color palette from natural dyeing with Rubia dye (Indian Maddar) 用Rubia染料(印度madar)天然染色而成的调色板

Among the natural dyes, one of the most appealing coloration on Textiles comes from Rubia dye. From ancient times this dye has been used. Rubia is one of the species of the Rubiaceae family. The common madder, covers the members such as Rubia tinctorum (common madder), Rubia peregrina (wild madder), and Rubia cordifolia (Indian madder). Figure-1 shows the picture of Rubia cordifolia. It is a source of red pigment which was of economic importance in Asia, Europe, Africa and Mediterranean in the past. The Indian madder plant has 3-4 colorant moleculesmanjisthin, purpurin and pseudopurpurin and negligible amount of alizarin. These molecules can form dye-mordant-fabric complexes easily due to appropriately placed functional groups such as - hydroxy and enones. The colorant molecules belong to the class of Anthraquinone dyes. The chelation with the metal ion of the conventional mordants or rare earth (RE) mordants is very facile. Rare earth ions have high positive charge and large ionic radii and this ionic nature of the RE+3 ion forms complexation with oxygen atoms of the dye molecules can take place. The colorant molecules are capable of forming intensely colored metal complex with the RE salts. Color palette with Rubia dye are derived from the different metal salts used in the dyeing process. Ecofriendly special auxiliaries add brightness to the dyed fabrics.

Human population is growing so the amount of produced wastewaters has increased considerably. Such toxic wastewaters are dangerous for sea, lakes and groundwater, endangering the survival of life on Earth. They also promote the development of oxygen-consuming microorganisms that lead to fish death and the development of pathogenic microbes. The textile industry creates waste water in the production process and such water needs to be cleaned prior to discharge into the watercourse.

The most important physiological properties of short men's socks depending on the raw material composition and the stitch design 男士短袜最重要的生理性能取决于原料成分和针脚设计

The research is focused on checking the most important physiological properties of short men's socks depending on the raw material composition. Men's socks are mostly made of bamboo, cotton or a cotton/polyester blend, the composition includes filament polyamide yarn as well as wrapped rubber thread. The stitch design is rib construction with a different number of loops on the face and back. The following basic measurements of the sock knit were made: thickness, horizontal and vertical density, loop length, surface mass and porosity. The physiological properties of the socks were checked through the following parameters: relative humidity, water retention capacity, water vapor permeability and air permeability. The raw material composition and the weave of the socks were found to affect the physiological properties, making this knitted textile article more or less moisture permeable. The obtained results defined the choice of the basic yarn for the production of socks, according to the conditions of use, as well as the choice of the most important parameters of knitted fabrics in order to ensure optimal physiological comfort when using socks.

Denim washing industry is a very well-known and established industry in Bangladesh. But the problem is huge amount of water is used in this industry every day. And the amount is that much higher which will have a huge negative impact on environment in nearer future. So we are trying to solve this problem by implementing different kinds of Eco washing concept which will ultimately reduce the amount of water used in washing industry besides helping us to grow the attention of buyers and consumers that we are trying to work for the environment. Besides providing the eye-catching and fashionable products in environment friendly way. In this paper some Eco washing concepts are introduced with advantages and disadvantages on conventional washing process on the perspective of Bangladesh's washing industry.
