The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the mathematical connections of junior high school students on the concepts of ratio and proportion. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data triangulation. The research participants were four junior high school students in Sukabumi. The instrument used in this study consisted of a description test of three questions that had been consulted with experts and based on considerations regarding indicators of mathematical connection ability. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the ability of students to recognize and use connections between mathematical ideas is 50%, the ability of students to connect and apply mathematical concepts with other disciplines is 50%, and the ability of students to connect and apply mathematical concepts to problems in everyday life with a percentage of 50%. The results showed that the mathematical connection ability of some junior high school students in Sukabumi on the concept of comparison was included in the poor category.

The widespread use of smartphones to play games and the lack of use as a medium for learning mathematics is the reason for the need for the development of smartphone-based edutainment learning media. The purpose of this research is to design and develop interactive edutainment learning applications of mobile mathematics games to help junior high school students to learn line and angles material. This mobile game-based application incorporates graphic design, background music, and animation, and a major structural element in game development to attract students. This research belongs to the type of Research and Development (R&D) and the model used is the ADDIE model that is carried out in a systematic stage. The results of the study show that the developed game meets the valid aspects, where the level of expert approval of the design functionality has an average value of 4,49 out of 5, meanwhile, the assessment of the material has an average score of 4,17 out of 5 and the user states that the game meets the practical aspect with an average score of 3,75 out of 5. It is hoped that this game-based learning application called "CORNER" for mobile devices can act as an additional tool for improving students' conceptual understanding and interest to learn through the scientific approach used.

Many people still believe that mathematics is unrelated to human existence. However, mathematics is, in reality, inextricably linked to human culture and life. For example, Ponorogo, one of Indonesia's cities, is known for its culture and art, particularly Reyog Ponorogo. Therefore, mathematical principles that bring mathematics closer to human life can be investigated using existing civilizations. Furthermore, culture can be used as a basis for math education in schools. Thus, this study seeks to investigate geometric concepts and the value of life in gamelan Reyog Ponorogo. The research question is, what are the values and concepts of geometry in Gamelan Reyog Ponorogo?. This research is ethnography research. To gain a better understanding of the philosophical values inherent in each gamelan instrument Reyog Ponorogo, data is collected through observations, literature reviews, and interviews with Ponorogo elders. The results showed that Gamelan Reyog Ponorogo uses the concept of geometry (field geometry, spatial geometry, transformation geometry, angular concepts, and the concept of two parallel lines cut by a line). In addition, each gamelan instrument Reyog Ponorogo contains traditional values, such as self-control, accountability, self-improvement, and so on. Therefore, it can be concluded that the gamelan Reyog Ponorogo is full of geometry concepts and the value of life.

The purpose of this research was to find how the first online learning implementation in the Department of Mathematics Education in The Islamic State Institute of Bengkulu during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was qualitative research which was conducted in July as an evaluation of the first online learning from March until July. 90 students were chosen by purposive sampling and then given an online questionnaire. The results showed that there were some mathematical courses students took in the Even Semester 2019/2020. The platforms used by lecturers while teaching Mathematics were 39.6% WhatsApp Group, 22% Google Classroom, 13.2% Cisco Webex, and 25.2 % others. Platforms that were felt effective as online learning applications were 52.7% Cisco Webex, 26.4 % WhatsApp Group, 9.9% Zoom meeting, 5.5% Google Classroom, and 5.5% others. This is felt to be effective because it does not consume a lot of data packages, has a strong signal, and can be accessed at any time (WhatsApp Group and Google Classroom). In addition, this platform can be used for live conferencing / video calls using whiteboards which are deemed effective for teaching math material (Cisco Webex). However, several obstacles were found during the implementation of online learning, namely difficulties in obtaining sufficient internet data packages; limited network; difficult assignments and assessments; less effective teaching methods; and use of multiple applications.

This type of research is quasi-experimental. The population in this study were all the students of class IX SMA Alwashliyah 3 Medan totaling 90 students. The sample selection is determined by randomly selecting two classes. Instrument used in data collection consisted of tests of problem solving abilities, students’ initial mathematical abilities and self- efficacy questionnaries. The results of the study indicate there are diffrences in the improvement of problem solving abilities provided by mathematics learning with the RME approach and Autograph Assisted Guided Discovery learning.

The adequate learning resources as support for student learning activities was one of the factors supporting the learning process successful. The use of textbooks as a source of learning did not support thinking activities, especially students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The textbooks so far only emphasize the understanding of the concept while the students' mathematical reasoning abilities were less noticed. This research intends to develop student worksheets that are valid, practical and effective in developing mathematical reasoning abilities and can be accessed via the internet. The research model used is Research and Development (R & D). To see the effectiveness of the product carried out an experiment. The results showed that through the learning assisted students worksheets that integrated the internet, the average of students' mathematical reasoning abilities were increased.

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of cognitive style on students’ mathematical problem-solving ability. This study used the survey method with a quantitative approach. One class consisting of 32 students was selected by purposive sampling for the study sample. A total of 17 students have a field-dependent (FD) cognitive style, while 15 other students have a field independent (FI) cognitive style. GEFT and mathematical problem-solving ability test instruments were used to collect research data. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation test and a simple regression test. The research results found that there is a strong positive relationship between cognitive style and students’ mathematical problem-solving ability, indicated by correlation coefficient r = 0,636. In addition, cognitive style has an effect on students’ mathematical problem solving ability of 40,5% through a linear relationship Ŷ = 3,703 + 0,512X.
